Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Robert asks…

Can anyone recommend any weight loss supplements?

I am trying to lose a few pounds and wondered weight loss supplements actually work. Any help would be appreciated.

weight loss cardiff answers:

I’ve been trying out these Cell Press Plus capsules, http://mydietshopz.com/ceplredbispe.html to help me loose a few pounds. They aid in helping you feel more full before your meals and I take them about an hour to an hour an a half before I plan to eat. I found that I was an over-eater, so I figured I should try this out and so far so good. If you are looking for something on the lines to help you achieve fullness before a meal, I suggest you try these capsules. Hope this helps you out!

Sandra asks…

What are the best weight loss supplements/pills?

I am looking to get more cut/lean. I was thinking about taking a weight loss supplement. What are the best ones out there? I lift 5 times a week. Will these supplements affect my weight lifting?

weight loss cardiff answers:

No weight loss pill works over the long term. Plus it is not very cost effective. One bottle is usually around 100 bucks and will only last for three weeks. And they all suggest you stay on them for 12 weeks at least. You do the math. Changing your eating habits will have the best results.

Donna asks…

Do you get carded for weight loss supplements?

I’m writing a paper for school and I would like to include this information in it. Also, what are the best weight loss supplements? Thanks!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Call your local GNC they should know a lot about that kind of stuff

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Daniel asks…

are there weight loss supplements that actually work?

do you know of weight loss supplements that actually work? im going to the gym and going to eat healthy but would like to also take something to help me as i am very over weight any tips?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Not without a prescription. Eating healthy (including portion control) and exercise is still the best way to lose weight. 1-2 pounds/week is considered reasonable healthy weight loss. You may lose weight a little faster than that at first as your body adapts to eating healthy and exercise. However, more long term rapid weight loss is more stressful on your body and less likely to be permanent.

Cut out sweets, seconds and junk including processed foods and things made from white flour. Use the whole grain version instead like whole wheat or multi-grain bread, whole wheat pasta (which I actually prefer), and brown rice. Drink only water. However, allow yourself one small cheat a week. This keeps you from feeling deprived and gives you something to look forward to the rest of the week.

Some people have no snacks. I find I get headaches if I don’t eat more frequently, especially when first starting to eat healthy and exercise. I’ll allow myself a healthy snack of a small piece of fruit or veggies. Just be sure no dressing or peanut butter with it. Studies have shown that it is better to have 3 medium size meals and 2 small snacks rather than just 3 large meals. This helps keep blood sugar more steady. Plus you won’t feel so hungry at meal times.

Try dividing you plate into quarters. First fill half with fruits and veggies, The other quarters are for the lean protein and whole grain carb. This will help limit your calories and ensure you get plenty of fruits and veggies.

Richard asks…

How heavy do you have to be to be put on weight loss supplements?

I weigh 180 pounds and I’m 5″3. What is the weight that the doctor then puts you on weight loss supplements?

weight loss cardiff answers:

There is no answer to your question because…

1. It depends on the patient
2. It depends on the doctor
3. There are no weight loss supplements (that a doctor would recommend). You probably mean medication.

Consulting your physician is the only way to find out about your situation.

Good luck and good health!!

Mandy asks…

Why are weight loss supplements dangerous for those with thyroid disease?

Why are most weight loss supplements dangerous for people who are suffering from a thyroid disease? Is this reason still substantial for those whose thyroid is regulated with medication?

weight loss cardiff answers:

They can be dangerous because alot of them contain ephedra. Ephedra can affect your heart rate and blood pressure, things that are already slightly unstable because its being controlled thyroid replacement hormones, such as synthroid.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Lizzie asks…

Can i lose weight by running and doing cardio workouts?

Ok so can I lose weight running on my treadmill and doing situps crunches etc. because im also trying to get a six pack…but I really want to lose weight in my stomach area can someone help me please thanks!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Yes, you can lose weight. Cardio is the best way to lose weight and the only way to burn fat. Running is the best cardio exercise.

Crunches will strengthen your ab muscles, but the way to get a six pack is though running and dieting. Everyone has a six pack, but the muscles are covered up by a layer of fat. You need to lose that fat for your abs to be visible.

About losing your stomach area fat; you can’t do that specifically. There’s no way to remove fat from a specific area in your body(short of surgery), the only thing you can do is lower your overall body fat percentage. Again, the best ways to do that are by exercising and/or dieting.

Be sure you’re drinking plenty of water and eating healthy. Good luck.

Joseph asks…

Can you really lose weight running on the treadmill everyday for an hour?

cuz i heard that if you do the same workout everday, you won’t lose weight
and im running on the treadmill everyday and eating 1200 calories..

weight loss cardiff answers:

It is false if you have ran everyday for an hour and ate 1200 calories in the past and still lost no weight so OBVIOUSLY you haven’t done it the past therefore IT WILL WORK. If you do stick to that workout and calorie intake, you should loose A LOT of lbs. Sounds like you got yourself a workout plan.

Sandy asks…

how long would it take to lose weight running 30 min each day?

If you were to run 30 min each day how long would it take to get in shape.
I’m 198 and 5foot 9in and i was thinking about trying to lose weight before lifting weights.

weight loss cardiff answers:

You don’t need to lose weight before you start lifting weights. The lifting will help you to lose the weight, so there’s no need to wait. Your fitness level will increase tremendously in a month if you exercise most days of the week. However, you do need to vary your exercise routine – your body will adjust to running 30 minutes every day, so make sure you vary it.

Weight loss is an overall process and there are no magic answers. Pay no attention to weight loss supplements and pills and all the latest fads. You need to think about many factors but most of them are related to issues we’ve known about for a very long time. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.

Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few additional small changes – walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.

Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can’t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate – in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don’t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.

Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.

Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.

An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

Your Questions About Weight Loss

Ken asks…

Are weight loss supplements dangerous or do they work?

I am doing some weight training for the first time. I love working out and want the best possible results. I’m seeking to become a personal trainer, do some excersise videos, and be in a few fitness magazines. Do weight loss supplements, such as hydroxycut or slimquik, really work? Are they dangerous for your body? How do they work?

Thank you kindly for answering. I appreciate you all.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Theyre ripoffs… And they arent healthy for you..if you read fine print they tell you to eat right and exercise so that tells you that they dont work.. So its better just to do it the old fashioned way, eat right and exercise!

James asks…

What are good vitamins or supplements to take to aid in weight-loss?

I am 22, 5-11 and 230 pounds. I have started running to lose weight but I have only seen weight gain. I know I am building muscles and weight will increase, but I still feel that I am not losing the weight I could be losing. I am taking vitamin B but I was wondering if there were any other good weight loss supplements to take?

weight loss cardiff answers:

There are no vitamins or supplements that will help you lose weight. If you keep to a well balanced healthy diet then you will take in everything you need on those lines.

Count the calories, spread out the meals to keep your appetite in control drink enough water and exercise. Doing this will lose you weight.

There are plenty of places to find out recommended calorie needs etc.

Avoid extreme diet like Atkins. These do leave you short of essentials. And moreover they are often boring and therefore hard to stick to.

Jenny asks…

Is it bad to take energy weight loss supplements before working out to boost stamina?

I recently discovered that when I take energy weight loss supplements before a work-out that I am able to work-out longer without getting tired as quickly as I would without taking them. I tend to work-out in the evenings starting out with running. (The supplement I am taking is the Quick Trim the ISO-BURN AM.)

weight loss cardiff answers:

Yes, it is bad and you should not take any weight loss supplements before you work out (or ever for that matter) because they contain ingredients that get rid of your fat (Good and bad fat), which you need to burn in order to gain muscle. If you have no fat to burn, your body starts to burn the muscle instead and you will diminish your muscles as well as your fat, which is very unhealthy. Also, the diet supplement will get rid of key vitamins in your body when it gets rid of the fat, leaving you with less vitamins such as omega 3, iron, and calcium, which works against you when you exercise and destroys the inside of your body. Do yourself a favor, and don’t use the weight loss supplement.
PS. 75% of people who use weight loss supplements gain back their lost weight and usually gain even more weight.

Mary asks…

Are weight loss supplements harmful to teens or children going through puberty?

I’m not asking on advice to lose weight, I just want to know specifically if weight loss supplements might be any more harmful for teens than for adults.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Of course yes, kids and children should avoid the supplements. They should take only the natural diets only. They should do some exercises, that’s enough for teens and children.

Susan asks…

Does anyone know of any particularly good weight loss supplements?

Does anyone know of any particularly good weight loss supplements?
I’m looking for something to help curb my appetite (not to replace a meal, just curb the hunger between meals) and boost my energy, but not make me jittery.

I’m just looking for a good supplement that is legal, helpful and over the counter.

I’m not trying to lose massive amounts of weight but I feel like I need a little boost to go with my better eating habits and exercise.
I think I will try the whole chocolate thing!

weight loss cardiff answers:

The first thing to learn about weight loss supplements is how and why different types work so that you can find the best one for your own body. There are some good articles posted here that explain how and why different types of diet pills work. Http://www.weightlossfatloss.us/diet_pills.asp Find the right one and they work great.
