Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Ken asks…

Is it okay to feed a leopard gecko only meal worms?

Is it okay to feed a leopard gecko only meal worms? Or do I have to feed it crickets too?
And what other kinds of supplements do I need to feed it? Or do I?

weight loss cardiff answers:

If by ok you mean will they survive on mealworms then yes. I feed my 2 month old leo only mealworms because i can’t get small crickets when I stay. But he got pretty fat after 5 months of mealworms only diet … He clearly look obese. At 7 months he was big enough for crickets. For the past 11 weeks I’ve been feeding him crickets, giving mealworms only twice a week or when he is not feeling good.

You need calcium powder, I dust his food with non D3 calcium powder, twice a week I dust it with calcium powder with D3.

Not sure about vitamins, I feed the mealworms apple slices so I assume my leo will get some from there. He absolutely dislike the repcal multivitamin smell and will never go near any food with that.

Betty asks…

How many meal worms should my baby veiled chameleon eat weekly?

OK well i just got a baby veiled chameleon 3 days ago. He wasn’t eating crickets so i got meal worms yesterday and he at them within 2 seconds of me putting them down. I want to feed him these daily from now on but the problem is the people at PetSmart said i can’t feed him them more than 2 meal worms a week. What should i do? Please answer soon because i need to feed him. Thank You for your answers i greatly appreciate them

weight loss cardiff answers:

First off mealworms should only be given to a chameleon once in a while because meal worms are very hard to digest and should be fed to fatten up like maxworms.use small super worms instead. :oD
list of good foods
crickets-main
silkworms-very often
wax worms and meal worms- only for treats or for fatten
roaches-not to often not to long
horn worms-treat
phoenix worm-once in a while high in nutri
butter worms-high in nutri to not to sure about phoenix tho
look in the internet for more info on diet

John asks…

How do I get rid of my suckerfishes worms??

My suckerfish has these huge worms that come out of him and get stuck on everything in my tank. I’m afraid that they are going to infect my other fish even though I think they already have worms coming out of them too!! It is the craziest thing you have ever seen!!! How do I keep them from getting these?? Thanks for help!!!

weight loss cardiff answers:

I believe that what you’re seeing is their “poop”. In plecos, this is long and stringy (the color is based on what you feed them, but is usually brown/tan). If these are actual worms, they’d move. The poop just stays in place unless the filter is moving it around.

It sounds as if your fish might be a bit constipated if there’s that much and you’re seeing it in other fish. If you feed your fish dry food (flakes or pellets) try soaking them in some tank water first. It also helps if you give the some fresh greens for some fiber in their diets. Most fish will eat cooked peas with the skin removed, zucchini, cucumber, romaine lettuce, spinach, collard greens, oranges, shredded carrots, and others. It help them if you cook these for a few minutes or freeze them a while first to make the softer.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Michael asks…

What is a good workout routine to lose weight, without the use of weights?

I am a 15 year old boy, i am 5’11 and 200 pounds. i would like to lose weight by running and by doing crunches and pushups and stuff like that without having to use weights and without having to lift. Also i need help on what to eat daily to keep me in shape and help me lose weight. Please provide me with a good, affective, and simple workout plan to help me lose as much weight as possible.no rude or bs answers please.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Here are some good workout routines for you without no weights:

day 1- walk 3 miles
day 2- do 3 sets of 25 of lunges, squats, walking lunges, backward lunges, front kicks, back kicks, side kicks, jumping jacks
day 3- jog around the neighborhood, include sprints! Jog for 4 minutes and sprint for 2 minutes..that should intensify your workout
day 4- go to the library and borrow a dvd of pilates or yoga! Its for free and this is an excellent workout

the reason i am giving you a variety is because if you do the same workout, you may hit a plateau (meaning you stop losing weight and stop seeing results)
good luck!

Richard asks…

Is it a myth that running makes you lose weight?

I don’t think so.
I was planning on joining ROTC at my college .
But I am seriously underweight which I would get deductions for.
I don’t mind the running and workouts but running makes my situation worse doesn’t it?
I need to hit the gym for muscle.
But my recruiter says losing weight from running is myth?
I was going to see a doctor or dietitian but I don’t think I will in time to sign up for classes.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Exercise, eating low fat foods and drinking only water= weight loss if you got it to lose in the first place… As americans we are spoiled by the unhealthy way of living

Nancy asks…

Carol asks…

Are MiO water enhancers bad for you while trying to lose weight?

I get bored with water, but i want to drink 8 cups a day. So, i have started to use MiO. I am trying to lose weight and I was wondering if MiO is bad for you or has any ingredients that may hold back weight loss.
Thanks!

weight loss cardiff answers:

They are bad for you in general. They are packed full of artificial sweeteners and preservatives. The only zero calorie sweetener that is remotely good for you is stevia. This is because it’s not chemically altered like all the other ones. It’s just like sugar in the sense that it is ground from a plant and then packaged to sell. Stevia comes from the stevia plant. Now a better alternative is tea. Get the caffeine free kind and get a large pitcher and put a lot of hot water in it and steep the tea bags. Or you can do what I do and buy a coffee machine and just put the tea bags up top so it perfectly steeps the tea so you don’t over do it and make it bitter. Then sweeten the batch with a pinch of stevia and your good to go. My pot makes 4 cups so 2 of those would get you to 8 cups a day easily. I’ve had 10 already.

Daniel asks…

How to balance University life with weight loss goals?

Any advice would be appreciated. I would live to lose weight while in university and not gain a pound, but it’s harder since my workload is so full I feel like any time dedicated to exercising or cooking proper meals (am not living on my own) should be spent on studying. Is it better to just to ditch studying for exercise and eating and cooking healthier? I think I might be on the verge of failing university (First year).
It feels like academic achievement comes at the price of health.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Wow it sounds like you must be at a really intense university or have a really intense major because i just graduated from university and did not seem to have remotely as much time-consuming work.
You obviously cant ditch the studying, but to be honest, taking a half hour – 40 minutes out of your work to cook a healthy meal isnt going to make a whole lot of difference,

For a Healthy Breakfast all you need is a good whole grain cereal and skim milk or a bowl of wholegrain oatmeal with a piece of fruit, this can be done in no time flat, so you have one healthy meal out of the way.
(dont skip breakfast either, studies have proven that this leads to weight gain)

For Lunch all you need is some whole grain bread and a slice of low-fat cheese, mustard and some deli meat. You can easily prepare this in the morning and bring it with you to class or the library – its very healthy and quick (go to the grocery store on weekends to stock up on food for the week so you’ll always have something on hand)

And for dinner, there are a lot of frozen entrees that are designed for weight maintainance/weightloss, you could easily pop one in the microwave and have a meal in 5 minutes – or you could also grill a piece of chicken or fish in less than 10 minutes, and add any kind of veggies from a can or jar and voila, youve got a very healthy meal.

For snacks keep things like yogurt, apples and nuts.

If you have a cafeteria at your school this is also a good way to get a quick meal, but be careful because there are many bad choices whihc could lead to the “freshman 15” – choose the salad bar (but avoid high fat dressings! Use oil and vinegar if you can), deli sandwiches with mustard instead of mayo, any kind of fruit offered, and often times the hot meal will include a fresh steamed vegetable and a lean meat. Choose these options instead of pizzas and pastas or mayonaiise based salads.

As for working out – do what you can. I would wake up every morning and go to the gym before classes because it guaranteed that i would have time to get in a work out, and all it cost me was an hour less of sleep (for some people this is impossible to part with). You can also work out on weekends when there is more free time, or bring your books to the gym and read while riding the stationary bike…my roomate used to do this.

Keep in mind too that excercising reduces stress and clears your head – it may benefit your studies to take a break from them and have an hour to yourself – youll find you think more clearly and have better concentration when you return to the books. Or, use your time running or training as a time to review material in your head – it will help you realize what you know and what you need to go over in more detail by thinking about the material without the books right in front of you!

Goodluck!

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Steven asks…

How many calories should I be eating with daily yoga?

I do two hours of yinyasa flow every day and two hours of gymnastics per week. Before the yoga, I ate 1,800 calories. Should I up the amount I eat? I’m getting different answers from online calculators. Thank you! P.S. I’m looking for how much I should eat for weight loss.
I read that vinyasa flow burns about 500 calories per hour.
Oops, sorry about that.
I’m 5 1” and 140 pounds. I’m recovering from multiple eating disorders, so it’s a little high.

weight loss cardiff answers:

You should aim to have they same amount of calories each day. Regardless of how many hours yoga or gymnastics you do. Although, your weight, height and age is needed to calculate the recommended amount of calories per day.

Joseph asks…

How do you figure out the percentage of body weight lost after losing 13 pounds?

Weird question, I know. But some employees at work are doing a little weightloss challenge. The person who loses the most “percentage” after 6 weeks wins. So far, everyone has lost 13 pounds each. They all understand that the person who started with the lowest weight is ahead of the percentage game so far, but now it’s game on!! They only have a week and a half left … one of the girls weighed 216, one weighed 180 and the other weighed 170. How can they calculate how much percentage of weight they’ve actually lost? Hope you can help.
PS – if you have something rude or ignorant to say, don’t bother replying.
What I meant, is take for example the 180 pound person – she lost 13 pounds. How much would that 13 pounds work out to be percentage-wise? Like how much percentage of her body weight did she lose? How much did the others lose? Can you tell I totally suck at math? lol
Mama Gretch, you rock! Thanks for not only answering my question, but figuring out everything for me as well. Now I get it, and will pass the info on.
Tried to chose your answer as the best one, but the system will only allow me to do so after 24 hours. I’ll be back then to do that.
Thanks to the others who answered as well.

weight loss cardiff answers:

OK – I’ve done the math for you (not too hard once you know the equation!) To figure out a percentage of weight lost (or percentage of anything), you would divide the number of pounds lost by the starting weight. For instance:

13 pounds lost/216 pounds starting weight = 6% loss
13 pounds lost/180 pounds starting weight = 7.2% loss
13 pounds lost/170 pounds starting weight = 7.6 % loss

If everyone lost the same amount of weight, the winner would always be the person who weighed the least to begin with.

LOL jayj… Santa needs to get you a new calculator for Christmas! No problem, and tell your colleagues to keep up the good work (wish I could do as well…)

Donna asks…

would dieting cause a flatchest and droopy face? How could I lose weight and avoid that at the same time?

Im currently on a low-carb diet in which i only eat healthy food such as veggies and protein, and avoid fat and sugar completely. I workout for 30mins-1 hour daily. I’m concerned about getting a flatchest or droopy cheeks due to the weight loss. Is there any way i can lose weight effectively without those happening?

weight loss cardiff answers:

If you do it the wright way by losing weight healthely 1-2lbs a week.
Find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
Eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast – they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner – repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
Ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
