Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Lizzie asks…

Science Diet dog food question?

Hello! So, here’s the deal. My grandma has a 14 year old chihuahua who was put on Science Diet R/D about 12 years ago when she was severely overweight to manage her weight. She has been at a healthy weight since less than a year after starting it, so for at least 11 years. Well, 12 years later she is still on it and on nothing else but is now losing weight so that she is underweight, though apparently healthy. We and her vet assume it’s because of age. My grandma is concerned about it and so we’ve considered maybe finding a good quality dog food to incorporate into her diet with the SD to help fill her up more and maybe put weight on. Everyone forbids this or taking Science Diet away but it’s hard to know how much of it is brand hype, veterinarians who make a profit, or really how big of a deal it truly is. After all, it is “just” food, not a drug. If anyone has any advice, can relate, or anything of the sort, please share! I want as many opinions and things as I can. Thank you so much! 🙂

weight loss cardiff answers:

Science diet is garbage. Its all filler. You don’t need a “diet” food to get a dog to lose weight. All you need to do is limit food. Pick something high quality like orijen, acana, wellness, blue buffalo, natural balance, natures variety, merrick, taste of the wild etc. If you need something cheaper you can get chicken soup for the dog lovers should. Pick the flavor that has meat as the first 4 ingredients. Avoid any food that is grain based. To prevent the dog from gaining too much weight just limit the food. The recommended amount on the bag is usually too much but you can start with that. If she is still skinny feed more. If she gets too fat feed less.

Susan asks…

baby food diet?

I am thinking of going on the baby food diet just for a few days, but I have a gluten and dairy intolerance so which types can I eat?

weight loss cardiff answers:

BACKGROUND

The latest fad to hit body-crazed Hollywood is the Baby Food Diet. Yep, you guessed it, noshing on jars of mashed sweet potatoes and gloppy bananas is the newest trend that makes you question if Hollywood is suffering a need to regress and feel younger (much younger!) or if there is something nutritiously beneficial to spooning down jars of the glassed stuff? You’ll hear about Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and even some of the Desperate Housewives hitting a jar of baby food to ease cravings.

PRO

– Baby food is free of additives, pure and full of vitamins

– Portions are small enough to control cravings and avoid the temptation to overeat

– Many selections are gluten-free for those on a gluten-free diet

– Organic varieties available

– Broad variety of flavors

CON

-Small portions could lead to a binge later on

-Taste is bland

-Since very little chewing is involved, satiety might not be quenched

FOOD and RECIPE

There are no specific guidelines that have been created yet for The Baby Food Diet . In time, your local Border’s bookstore will soon carry a guide on how to lose weight by subsisting on baby food. For now, the requirements are:

The dieter eats either all baby food or eats one adult meal and baby food for the rest of the day. Since babies’ digestive systems are so young and innocent, most baby food that you’ll find at the grocery store is free of added fats, fillers and other additives. Organic baby food is also lining the shelves so you can be sure that the mushy stuff you’re eating does not contain genetically-modified ingredients, growth hormones, or antibiotics.

EXERCISE

Since The Baby Food is more of a trend right now rather than a specific guideline, no exercise recommendations have been put forth. But as reality and science has shown us, the more you expend and the less you consume, you will shed the pounds.

EXPENSE

The expense of the Baby Food Diet is just the expense of purchasing jars of the gooey stuff which can range from $.60 to $2.

CONCLUSION

The Baby Food Diet is likely to inspire some good chuckles and grimaces as its popularity grows. From a nutritional perspective, the diet is clearly packed with veggies and fruits and thereby full of vitamins and minerals. And it does have the portion control element going for it too. But its long-term longevity to keep any pounds lost, off still remains to be seen.

Daniel asks…

Baby Food Diets?!?!?!?

i have heard off some friends about a baby food diet was thinking of starting it, but how many jars do u eat a day? do u have any adult meals?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Don’t believe the hype hon.

Baby food diets are ridiculous and will not work for a myriad of reasons. The main reason is that baby food contains no real substance (since it is designed for tiny, brand new stomachs) and offers no nutritional value for a grown person burning up to 1500 calories per day.

Your body will not function on baby food and it will just cause your metabolism to bottom out and then you’ll end up gaining weight instead. Plus, you will stay hungry and will very likely end up over-eating to satisfy that hunger also resulting in weight gain.

I know you’ve probably heard about celebrities being on that diet too but those stories simply are not true. Quit looking for the quick fix. If you really need to lose weight, do it the right way through proper diet and exercise.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Lizzie asks…

if i just eat tinned soup for a whole week will i lose weight?

im desprate to get skinner for the summer i am exsersising and i need t lose a stone.
if i just eat soup for a whole week will this help me lose weight.

weight loss cardiff answers:

You’ll lose a lot of weight yes.

Problem is you have to realise that weight doesnt = fat.
Different things contribute to weight, like fat, muscle, water.

The idea of the best diets is that you want to get as close to 100% fat loss as possible taking up the weight you lose. Keep as much muscle as possible (This is what gives the body a “toned” impression) & lose a reasonable amount of water as thats unavoidable when you’re eating less.

Eating soup for a week you’ll lose an average amount of fat, quite a lot of muscle & a lot of water.

So you’ll lose a lot of weight as i say, but you’re appearance wont be anywhere near as good as it could be if you did things right. Its also very unhealthy as you’re not getting enough nutrition, you’ll feel weak…it will be very hard to stay disciplined as you’re body will be desperate for other foods & overall its a pretty disasterous idea.

Its good that you’re exercising already, you’re on the right track. Now just try eating healthier. Try eating 5-6 smaller meals a day….try and get a source of protein into every meal (very good on a diet, will keep you full and you’ll burn more calories eating it). Try drinking only water..When you want to snack have fruit of some kind. Only eat when you’re hungry….and finish eating when you’re full. Try jogging around to get places….

All of these kind of things are helpful. If you just google diet tips you’ll find lots.

But you have to have a sensible diet to lose fat properly. Your body has to be getting enough calories so that it doesnt start breaking down you’re muscle & burning that off for energy at a higher % than it does fat. Muscle loss is very bad on a diet, muscle is a big part of what determines the rate at which you burn calories….you’re metabolism. So lose muscle = lose fat slower…will have a negative effect on your bodys appearance also as i say. You get the idea, hope that helps.

Sandy asks…

Why did I lose weight fast in the last 2 weeks?

I started my diet about 2 or 3 months ago, at first I lost weight so fast but then I started losing weight so slowly (less than 1 pound a week), but in the last 2 weeks I lost 7 pounds and I’m wondering why I lost it so fast.I’m working out less than I used to, and I’m eating the same as I used to

weight loss cardiff answers:

If you are female, was the week that you lost weight slowly around your time of month? If so, you may have been retaining water that week that you lost quickly over the next two weeks—likely not all of that was water weight, but some of it may have been.

Otherwise, perhaps it was triggered by the change in your exercise habits. Your body may have noticed it was losing fat quickly and—concerned it wasn’t getting enough calories to sustain itself—slowed itself. When you stopped working out and consequently started using fewer calories, your body may have relaxed.

Weight Loss Tips?

Hey, I am an 18 year old male and am 6’5 and 260 LBS. Im still growing and might end up around 6’7.

I dont look fat, I just look like a big kid. Im trying to lose some weight over the next few months. How much should I loose and what should I do to get quick results.

Im a very picky eater and my diet consists of bagels, chips, pizza and pasta. Dont like a lot of foods. Hate stuff like eggs and salad. Dont really like meat unless its chicken breast.

I have tried dieting before but I get bored easily and stop the diet all together. Diet pills worked but I stopped because my heart was coming trhough my chest.

Any good excerise routines anyone knows of that work well too?

Thanks a lot in advance.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Here are some of the most effective weight loss tips to help you get (or stay) on track to a healthier, better-looking body:

1.Drink ice water. The simplest of the weight loss tips, it helps body burns up to 40 calories just by turning up its metabolism in order to warm the water.

2.Have an early dinner so that you have an hour or two to take a short walk after dinner. In between meals, when you feel like eating something, reach out for a glass of water that will make you feel fuller soon.

3.One of the effective weight loss tips is while cooking, lower the heat so that you can use less oil. Cut down on the use of hot, spicy foods. In fact, it would be much wiser to eliminate them from your diet.

Slimming world, diet plan, free foods, EE?

Hello World!

The fatty needs to go so I’m starting the Slimming world diet. I don’t live anywhere near a Slimming World club unfortunately so want to do all the dieting on my own as I’m really not a wizz with computers either so wouldn’t have a clue how to join and maintain the online group.

I was just wondering if anyone has a list of the free foods/syns book of even a copy of the books?

Best detox diet plan is choosing the diet plan that really suitable with you. It can be said that the same diet plan can have the different result for different people. Basically all kinds of diet plans are good to make healthy body. It is true but good diet plan cannot be the best diet plan for your bodyat the same time

David asks…

P90x results without the diet plan?

I’m a 16 year old guy but I’m using my sister’s account. My parents are not allowing me to follow the diet plan of P90x because they said I have to eat what they prepare. So what results can I expect, I eat pretty healthy food and fast food once a week because my parents buy me it and I cannot say no. My diet is made up of bread, meat, rice, dairy, and fruits. Also that occational fat food once a week. So what results can I see. I eat around 2500 caloies a day 125 pounds and 5’2″. I want to gain muscle mass and lower fat so will I see these results?

weight loss cardiff answers:

The diet plan IS a huge part of the program..but you will see some results if you eat healthy. That fast food is pretty killer once a week. Try to get a salad without dressing because the dressing they throw on there is pretty bad for you. Look online to try and find the best healthy items at these fast food places because often times the items that are billed as “healthy” have MORE calories because of the sauces they put on.

Check out eat this not that its a book about what is better to eat when you have to eat there.

Nancy asks…

One meal a day diet plan?

Surfing the net, i came over the one meal a day diet ( warrior diet) which is where you eat one big meal at night ( for the whole day). This apparently works? because you can’t eat as much as you eat for teh whole day and you just eat that one meal and u can sleep satisfied or something.
did anybody try out this diet? there are many success stories, but also there are a lot of ppl telling me to eat 6 meals a day blah blah blah, it’s detrimental to health.. etc

i really don’t know what to do. My goal is to lose 10 kg AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. i am willing to do anything for this. i don’t care HOW severe the diet plan is. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendatiosn? PLEASE HELP ME! i am really desperate. I have gained so much in such a little time from binging, and my pants don’t fit anymoerand i can’t buy new ones 🙁
please give me advice. One meal a day? 6 meals ad ay? what kind of diet plan? please help me and share your stories!! I am a body type where everything i go goes to my legs and thighs.. (seriously) on the top, i am bony but bottom is so… .. yeahh. anyways
and doing muscle work ( on my legs ) is good for weight loss right? ( and then doing like eliptical after?) what is the best workout machine?
i juts want to lose 10 kg asap and need advice on possibly anything. just help me.. please i am really desperate!
oh last question. would you recommend diet soda or vitamin water?

weight loss cardiff answers:

This diet plan won’t work. You will be starving all day, your metabolism will slow down and it’s not good to eat a huge diner. You should eat a big breakfast, a snack(fruit or veggie), a medium lunch, a fruit or veggie for afternoon snack and then a small diner. That’s the way that all people should lose weight, don’t try any type of diet that tells you to skip meals. You have to eat 5 or 6 meals a day to keep you full so you won’t bing.
You can lose 10kg if you try hard. Actually it’s not that hard. If you make the right choices and improve your habits you will succeed.
You don’t have to exercise a lot. 3 times a week for at least 30 min are enough. If you have an elliptical, you can jog or run or better -for me- go to the park to jog or run. It’s really relaxing…
You shouldn’t drink diet soda neither vitamin water. Prefer fresh vegetable or fruit juices and of course water!
Good luck!
