weight loss cardiff answers:

Diet plans are extremely complex generally, and nutritionists and personal trainers are paid a lot for this purpose, I couldn’t even begin to design one for you without knowing your exercise routines. General advice is never skip breakfast ever, it’s an incredibly important meal. If you eat 2000 calories a day, your body will adjust itself accordingly to be able to burn that much per day. Stay away from alcohol and fizzy drinks too, just horrible empty calories.

Paul asks…

Does anyone have a good diet plan?

I am looking for a diet not anything like diet pills, or any fad diet that will never work i want to lose over 70lbs if any one has any tips or diet plans that would be great

weight loss cardiff answers:

Here’s how to lose fat.

Whether you want to gain weight, lose weight, add muscle, or maintain, you should use the same diet. In other words, everyone should be eating essentially the same macro nutrients (carbs, fats, protein), micro nutrients (vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc.) barring special health or medical considerations because we all have essentially the same physiognomy and there is only one version of peak health. Here is how we should all eat according to the US National Institute of Health who are among the best health professionals in the world and the people doctors listens to in the US.

OPTIMAL INTAKE
Eat varied, wholesome, and high quality foods such that your daily caloric intake is about equal to your daily caloric burn while keeping your macro nutrient ratios at about 55/25/20 (%calories from carbs/fats/protein). Only slight changes should be made in the macro nutrient ratios to accommodate the extreme demands of special activities such as extreme athletics or inactivity due to illness.

Note: Here are the details in case you’re interested:
http://health.gov/dietaryguidelines/2010.asp
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/nutrition.html

You get to make the food choices (no supplements without a doctor’s recommendation) based on your location, culture, available foods, personal preferences, personal resources, food allergies, etc. However, the words “varied”, “wholesome”, and “high quality” are important. And, you should consume your food in 4-6 daily meals with healthy snacks between such that you’re nourishing yourself every two hours when awake.

VARIED means a variety of foods including fruits, dairy, meats, vegetables, grains, nuts, etc.
WHOLESOME means as unprocessed, unrefined, nutritious as is practical.
HIGH QUALITY means using the best ingredients, the least contaminants or fillers or unnecessary chemicals, etc.

•FAT LOSS: If you want to lose fat, simply adjust your portion size (the amount you take in at meals and snacks) down such that your daily caloric intake is about equal to your BMR. You can calculate your BMR here —> http://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html

•MAINTENANCE: If you want to maintain your weight just keep your portion size at a comfortable level which you can determine simply by weighing yourself once per week and checking your clothing fit and reflection in the mirror to ensure you’re at or close to your ideal body weight.

TRACKING
Nutrient tracking is necessary to ensure you have the optimal caloric intake and macro nutrient balance. For most people, tracking is only required for fat loss because of the difficulty in cutting intake and nutrients while maintaining digestive and appetite satisfaction. Tracking makes it necessary to read labels, look up food nutrients, record data, plan meals and recipes, etc. And, as annoying as it may be to have to track, it is easier to do today than ever before with the help of website such as My Fitness Pal —> http://www.myfitnesspal.com . And, once the fat loss dieter reaches goal weight, tracking my be discontinued. Here’s my tracking as an example –> http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/clickmaster

Tracking will also force you into making good food choices because bad ones will either drive your caloric intake over the limit or create periods of hunger in waking hours. Ideally you want all your hunger to be while you’re sleeping.

Another benefit of tracking is planning “cheats”. When you track, if you have to cheat you will know how much damage you did. If you cheat a little you may still lose some fat. Cheat a little more and you still may not gain any fat. Cheat a little more and you may have gained the equivalent of a few ounces of fat that day. The numbers will let you know. You can also “bank” calories simply by adding up all the calories you’ve saved over the past week and then indulging yourself by that much excess without interfering with your fat loss. Cool huh? Of course, cheats and banks should be no more than once per week.

I can’t stress the importance of tracking enough. Trying to control your body composition without tracking is like driving blindfolded. You know where you want to go but you can’t see the hazards so you will eventually run into trouble.

Carol asks…

how can i lose weight in a week ?

im 13, and i weigh 8.12 stone,
im around 5ft3, My Bra size is 38C.
How can i lose Weight in a week or so, and balance school aswell ?

weight loss cardiff answers:

You cannot healthily lose any significant amount of weight in a week, unless you think surgery is a healthy option.

You could temporarily reduce the amount of water in your body, but that would be unhealthy and as soon as you started eating and drinking normally you would regain all of the weight you just lost.

You could starve yourself for a week, but that would be unhealthy and as soon as you started eating and drinking normally you would regain all of the weight you just lost.

You could take laxatives, but that would be unhealthy and as soon as you started eating and drinking normally you would regain all of the weight you just lost.

Paul asks…

Can a 13 year old girl lose weight in two weeks?

Iv’e done another like this but sorry for my mistake so um i weight about 79.9 lb and i want to make my stomach, thighs, arms abit slimmer, not like really really slim just model slim, everyone mocks me because they think im fat? which i am, and so i want to show them in two weeks that i can look as much more better than before. is it possible if i can lose weight for two weeks doing excersises, eating less, drinking water every day?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Try fruits and vege and no meat. Drink lots of water and exercise as often as you can until you cannot continue. This is going to be long term and not for 2 weeks. No point doing for 2 weeks to show people when you can do it for like your whole life and show yourself? Be confident about yourself. If you think your are overweight, then lose it. People mocks you means there must be something wrong with my weight. Take it positively and not as a negative energy for you to change. Don’t do it to show other people, do it for your own health and lifestyle. You will feel better if you think you are. By then you don’t need people to comment about how you look. You will know it yourself. Good luck!

Sharon asks…

how to lose weight in 2 weeks ? ?

Am a size ten and have bought an outfit for valentines day, but the top i have bought is a size ten and tight, it shows my ” pot belly ” and i look really big in it!
What are your tips to lose weight in 2 weeks? am not really a healthy eater and i always say i will lose weight and never ever do!
I really want by belly to be away for 2 weeks!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Losing weight is a long term thing, but if you’re really that determined, run (not walk) 2-3 miles. Out of nowhere, such a serious workout will make you extremely tired, but you’ll lose a ton of sweat. Remember though, when you’re trying to lose weight, it works good during the first week or two, because once your body realizes it’s losing weight, it sort of starts to preserve it, so it becomes harder and harder because then your body/brain keeps getting used to the workouts you throw at it. Hypothetically:

You manage to keep running 2-3 miles and lose about 2-3 pounds (again if it’s a really hard workout. At my school wrestlers have lost 7 pounds in practice, but they might have done like 5 or something). Then the next day you do martial arts, something your body isn’t expecting. But Martial arts though I don’t mean actually fighting, but as in moving around like a fighter, and then you drop some more pounds there. The whole point of losing fat is this: your body burns carbs before it burns fats, so you want to make sure you have as little carbs as possible before you run. So maybe after your day at school/work is done, you’ve used up carbs just doing daily activities. Most people do weightlifting before running because lifting takes away a ton of carbs and then once you do cardio, there’s nothing but fat to burn.

But yea the whole point is that you actually have to do some WORK to lose weight.

Michael asks…

What is the best Raspberry Ketone weight loss supplement?

What is the best Raspberry Ketone weight loss supplement?
There are so many to choose from…has anyone had better luck using one product over the other?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I’ve only tried two different types. You always want to look for Ketone products that are only 100% pure raspberry. Many raspberry ketone products will add other ingredients and you want to avoid that at all cost. One brand I currently take is Raspberry Ketone Burn. I have had no problems with this supplement and continue to lose weight. I try to stick to a strict diet and workout routine. I have lost 23 lbs in the past 2 months and look forward to continuing down this path. The other brand I was using was called Teraputics Raspberry Ketones 250mg. Although I didn’t lose as much weight as I have with Raspberry Ketone Burn, I was still losing an average of 1 – 2 lbs a week on it. Like I stated before, whatever brand you go with just make sure it is a 100% pure raspberry product.

Ken asks…

What is the best weight loss supplement you can have that actually works please help me i am 202 pds?

Wats the best weight loss supplement i want to lose 70 pds

weight loss cardiff answers:

Hi Haley,

There comes a time in every individual’s life when he realizes that he needs to regain his fitness because it is genuinely threatening his/her way of life and future prospects. When a person comes to such a point in life, the usual reaction is to do some research into the different ways and means through which good health can be restored. If you have come to this point in your life and have researched this subject in depth, then it is likely that you have already figured out that the best way to achieve great health is to do so through natural means like having a balanced diet day in day out and getting enough physical activity on a regular basis.

A balanced diet, traditionally and on the basis of modern scientific researches, is regarded as the best way to not only lose weight but to also counter diseases and injuries. The reason for this is simply the fact that having meals that are well balanced in nutrients results in the body becoming more adept at handling external and internal problems. Similarly, exercise is regarded highly in medical circles because it results in the production of the right enzymes in the body that help its natural processes and an increase in metabolic rate, which means greater energy levels.

However, like most people who research the best methods of losing weight and achieving fitness, it is possible that you missed out on a crucial aspect. This is the fact that while a natural diet and good amount of exercise are great for losing weight or gaining fitness, they need to be supported with some carefully chosen natural nutritional supplements. The need for natural nutritional supplements arises because due to the exploitation of the environment by mankind, certain nutrients have become rare in nature. The direct result of this is that it is hard for any individual to find certain nutrients in enough quantities naturally. The following is a list of benefits of using natural nutritional supplements that should show you that these supplements are an important facet of your balanced diet and physical activity regime.

1. Give you another source for the required nutrients:

As mentioned above, the primary reason why these natural nutritional supplements are important is the fact that they are able to provide you certain nutrients that you would otherwise find it difficult to acquire.

2. Help facilitate the improvement in your body’s internal processes:

Most natural nutritional supplements are an amalgamation of different extracts. This means that, in addition to their active ingredient, they also contain other naturally occurring substances like enzymes and compounds that can facilitate your body’s internal processes.

As you can see from the detailed information mentioned above, a person who is looking to regain fitness or lose excess weight needs to have a regime that is completely natural and consists of things like balanced diets, appropriate amount of physical activity and the right choice of nutritional supplements. Therefore, if you are looking to achieve good health or lose some weight, then you need to either create your own detailed fitness regime or enroll yourself into some natural diet and exercise program.

I found this website http://www.weight-loss-edge.com for you. The supplement is second to none. Check it out. Its awful.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you’re consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm

Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/carbohydrates.html

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d

*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.

Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is “Muscle and Fitness”. Signup for the free newsletter. An excellent free online resource is at http://www.exrx.net/

A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com

Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. weight loss cardiff answers:

Perhaps you could try The Great Australian Diet discussed below.

Created by Australian health guru Dr John Tickell, the Great Australian Diet is touted as a return to natural foods and natural eating patterns. Tickell, an obstetrician turned sports medicine specialist, claims that after travelling the world and studying foods, he has discovered several simple rules which can help anyone lose weight healthily.

He describes the Great Australian Diet as “anti-Atkins, anti-CSIRO” and emphasises the importance of carbohydrates in the diet, saying that the “two most important foods we eat -fruits and vegetables- are carbohydrates”. Dr John also criticises the low GI diet because, he says, it frightens people off eating carbs.

The Great Australian Diet is actually rather complicated, and may not be as easy to follow as Dr Tickell seems to think. First of all, he replaces the glycemic index with the HI, or ‘Human Interference’ factor. This means that foods which have been highly processed, such as salami, white bread and white rice, are considered unhealthy, and are replaced by unprocessed alternatives- raw and lightly cooked vegetables, fish, especially deep water fish and sardines, and small amounts of lean meat. 2/3 of the diet should be composed of vegetables and fruits, and 1/3 ‘bonus’ foods, which are essentially lean proteins, and after the initial two day cleansing period, which is very low calorie, 15 different types of plants should be eaten every day.

Since no calorie guidelines are given, and only vague instructions to eat 4 or 5 nuts and so on, this may be the downfall of many dieters. After all, its pretty easy to forget how many nuts, seeds and grains you have eaten. It may also be hard for people on busy schedules to keep to such a demanding diet, since eating out is restricted really to grilled fish and an occasional steak and vegetables.

But the Great Australian Diet is much more than just an eating plan. Dieters get points for watching the sunset, hugging their children and other ‘coping’ activities, and use gentle exercise techniques to strengthen trunk and arm muscles. Walking is also part of the diet, which claims over 91 days to re-educate the body into natural rhythms. One of the selling points for me at least, is the resting weeks- after each three weeks on the diet, there are two weeks when you are allowed to eat freely, and recuperate. However, although it seems pretty healthy, the Great Australian Diet is never going to be voted easiest diet of the year.

You can see further details in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22the+great+australian+diet%22&fr=ush-ans
