THANKS <33 10 pts, best answer

weight loss cardiff answers:

Diet plans are extremely complex generally, and nutritionists and personal trainers are paid a lot for this purpose, I couldn’t even begin to design one for you without knowing your exercise routines. General advice is never skip breakfast ever, it’s an incredibly important meal. If you eat 2000 calories a day, your body will adjust itself accordingly to be able to burn that much per day. Stay away from alcohol and fizzy drinks too, just horrible empty calories.

Paul asks…

Does anyone have a good diet plan?

I am looking for a diet not anything like diet pills, or any fad diet that will never work i want to lose over 70lbs if any one has any tips or diet plans that would be great

weight loss cardiff answers:

Here’s how to lose fat.

Whether you want to gain weight, lose weight, add muscle, or maintain, you should use the same diet. In other words, everyone should be eating essentially the same macro nutrients (carbs, fats, protein), micro nutrients (vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc.) barring special health or medical considerations because we all have essentially the same physiognomy and there is only one version of peak health. Here is how we should all eat according to the US National Institute of Health who are among the best health professionals in the world and the people doctors listens to in the US.

Eat varied, wholesome, and high quality foods such that your daily caloric intake is about equal to your daily caloric burn while keeping your macro nutrient ratios at about 55/25/20 (%calories from carbs/fats/protein). Only slight changes should be made in the macro nutrient ratios to accommodate the extreme demands of special activities such as extreme athletics or inactivity due to illness.

Note: Here are the details in case you’re interested:

You get to make the food choices (no supplements without a doctor’s recommendation) based on your location, culture, available foods, personal preferences, personal resources, food allergies, etc. However, the words “varied”, “wholesome”, and “high quality” are important. And, you should consume your food in 4-6 daily meals with healthy snacks between such that you’re nourishing yourself every two hours when awake.

VARIED means a variety of foods including fruits, dairy, meats, vegetables, grains, nuts, etc.
WHOLESOME means as unprocessed, unrefined, nutritious as is practical.
HIGH QUALITY means using the best ingredients, the least contaminants or fillers or unnecessary chemicals, etc.

•FAT LOSS: If you want to lose fat, simply adjust your portion size (the amount you take in at meals and snacks) down such that your daily caloric intake is about equal to your BMR. You can calculate your BMR here —>

•MAINTENANCE: If you want to maintain your weight just keep your portion size at a comfortable level which you can determine simply by weighing yourself once per week and checking your clothing fit and reflection in the mirror to ensure you’re at or close to your ideal body weight.

Nutrient tracking is necessary to ensure you have the optimal caloric intake and macro nutrient balance. For most people, tracking is only required for fat loss because of the difficulty in cutting intake and nutrients while maintaining digestive and appetite satisfaction. Tracking makes it necessary to read labels, look up food nutrients, record data, plan meals and recipes, etc. And, as annoying as it may be to have to track, it is easier to do today than ever before with the help of website such as My Fitness Pal —> . And, once the fat loss dieter reaches goal weight, tracking my be discontinued. Here’s my tracking as an example –>

Tracking will also force you into making good food choices because bad ones will either drive your caloric intake over the limit or create periods of hunger in waking hours. Ideally you want all your hunger to be while you’re sleeping.

Another benefit of tracking is planning “cheats”. When you track, if you have to cheat you will know how much damage you did. If you cheat a little you may still lose some fat. Cheat a little more and you still may not gain any fat. Cheat a little more and you may have gained the equivalent of a few ounces of fat that day. The numbers will let you know. You can also “bank” calories simply by adding up all the calories you’ve saved over the past week and then indulging yourself by that much excess without interfering with your fat loss. Cool huh? Of course, cheats and banks should be no more than once per week.

I can’t stress the importance of tracking enough. Trying to control your body composition without tracking is like driving blindfolded. You know where you want to go but you can’t see the hazards so you will eventually run into trouble.

Good luck and good health!!

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Nancy asks…

What elliptical is best and cheapest with a weight loss component?

I am about 145 pounds. I want to lose atleast 20 lbs. Can anyone who knows what they’re talking about provide me with what is the best and cheapest machine they suggest and ALSO if anyone can tell me whats the best speed, resistance, and time as well as days a week to work out on the elliptical in order to achieve my 20 lb weight loss goal.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Being cheap with fitness equipment is never a good idea because it often gurantees that you will never actually use it to achieve your fitness goals. You should find a specialty fitness store and participate in a trial membership at local gyms. This will help you identify what ellipticals you like best. They are all different because of patents. No one elliptical can provide a better work out than another. Losing 20 pounds is easier than you could imagine. At a conservative pace it should only take 6 weeks tops. The best speed is to keep pushing your fitness level higher. So, if you can only maintain 6 mph continue to do so while always pushing yourself to hold 7 as long as you can.

Sandy asks…

Is GNC 7 day weight loss an effective product?

I am interested in trying GNC’s 7 day weight loss program but my wife is unhappy with the idea. She thinks that dietary programs are basically scams. Has anyone tried it and how did it go for you?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I would not say they are a scam.. I would just say that is not the healthy way to lose weight. What is easier is rarely healthier. These products will make some people lose weight, and they may kill some other people. I have read and heard some horror stories about those products..

Eat well, and exercise..

I bet your wife would not have a problem with that.. Check out this great weight loss program…

Sandra asks…

How do you get a reluctant Doctor to prescribe weight loss medications?

I am 5ft2 and almost 200 pounds. I have a hard time losing weight through excersise because I have severe Fibromyalgia. I eat a very good diet of 1,000 calories a day but although I am not gaining I am not losing either. My doctor says he doesnt like to prescribe any weight loss meds to anyone. I do not want to go see another doc because this current one is so good with my other illnesses and it is in my contract that if i see anyone else, he will not see me anymore. What do I do?? Help!
Ive decided to add some more on this post to thank you all so far for your input and helpful advice. I have a Response for “M’s” question. Most doctors who deal exclusively with pain management will have their patients sign this sort of contract. It pretty much just means that since they are handaling all of the intricate specifics of your unique case that it would not be benificial and would cause much confusion to bring in other doctors without his permission first. If you, the patient wish to see a different doctor than your pain management doctor , you are more than welcome to a second opinion or whatever you are seeking but it is in your primary pain management care providers discretion to see you or to (more than likely ) not to see you as a patient again. Thanx for listening and responding.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Ask him to recommend a nutritionist for you to consult with. If he won’t prescribe anything, then the least he can do is work with you in other ways. Maybe a nutritionist can adjust what types of foods you are eating and make it possible for you to lose weight. Actually, you might not be getting enough calories and if you ate certain foods and increased your calorie intake by 200, you might have better luck. But I’m only guessing. Don’t get discouraged. It might just be a 1 lb. Loss per week, but that’s 52 lbs. In a year.

I know you said you have severe Fibromyalgia, but can you just try walking 10 minutes each day and try to gradually work up to 30 minutes over time? If you don’t feel like walking outside, the Leslie Sansone walking DVD’s are easy and a lot of people like you lose weight using them. Basically it’s just walking in place in front of your TV for 15 minutes.

Betty asks…

How many calories do I need to take in a day to lose weight?

If I want to lose 2 pounds a week, how many calories should I take in each day?
Assuming I’m not exercising… and I’m 5’2, weigh 120 lbs, and am 13 years old. How many calories should I take in each day to lose weight without exercise?

weight loss cardiff answers:

First, you need to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate. Basal metabolic Rate (or BMR); the number of calories you’d burn if you stayed in bed all day. BMR is different for everyone based on you hieght, weight, age, and sex. Males usually have a higher BMR the females because
they have greater percentage of muscle tissue.

You’re BMR if you’re 5’2, weigh 120 lbs, 13 years old and female is 1412.
You’re BMR if you’re 5’2, weigh 120 lbs, 13 years old and male is 1525.

In order to maintain your weight, you would need to eat 9884 calories per week if female, and 10675 calories per week if male.

A pound is 3500 calories, so to burn 2 pounds a week you need to create a deficit of 7000 calories.

So you eat 2884 calories per week if female, and 3675 calories per week if male.

That’s an average of 412 calories per day if female, or 525 calories a day if male in order to lose 2 pounds a week without exercise.

Hope this helped.

Robert asks…
