Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Daniel asks…

Do all of the major weight loss pills have caffeine?

I have read that the major weight loss supplements are mostly caffeine (Xenadrine, Stacker, Trim Spa, Ect.). This is why most pro athletes do not use them. Is this statement true? Are there any caffeine free supplements? Also, is it true that ephedra is a form of caffeine?

weight loss cardiff answers:

You’re right — ALL the major weight loss pills are either LOADED with caffeine or they contain ephedra, which can be lethal if taken by teenagers or persons suffering from high blood pressure or heart disease. That is EXACTLY why pro-athletes won’t take them. Ephedra = ephedrine hydrochloride, but I have no idea if that’s in the caffeine family. And no, I can’t name any weight loss or fat burning supplement that doesn’t contain caffeine or ephedra (or both). BOTTOM LINE: They don’t work over the long term and can have nasty long-term effects. The high levels of caffeine and/or ephedra mess with your metabolism and actually cause your metabolism to run slower after you stop taking them. So you could take them for a few months, lose the weight you want to lose, but once you stop you’ll have to exercise harder or eat a lot less just to maintain. Not good. You’re better off going the natural way. Check out the website below for a plan to lose weight and keep it off without the use of fat burners, supplements, or pills.

Betty asks…

What are some weight loss supplements for men?

I’m in a very unfortunate situation because I don’t have money to eat the healthy way as of yet.. and I work so much and commute so far that I find it hard to find time to exercise.. I wanna drop some weight .. At least 8-10 pounds over the next 2-3 weeks. I’m going to buy some fruits and vegetables, some grilled chicken and things less fatty but I would like am extra push.. Hence, the idea of weight loss supplements. Is there any that you can recommend to me that has great reviews and hasn’t caused serious complications to the body. I really would appreciate this. I’m a male by the way. I know their are women and men supplements. Thank you.

If you don’t have any ideas for supplements then have any of you dropped weight fast using different techniques with limited exercise and little access to fruits and vegetables? I’m pretty sure it’s unheard of, please get back to me!!

weight loss cardiff answers:

A very good weight loss supplement is hoodia gordonii – it works by suppressing the sensation of hunger which helps the person lose weight.

Susan asks…

are there any safe weight loss supplement that actually work for teens?

i’m 19 and i want to lose about 20 or 30 pounds. i exercise and eat well but im just not losing the weight. does anyone know of any weight loss supplement that actually works? (i don’t want slim fast)

weight loss cardiff answers:

I’m sorry, there’s really no such thing as a safe diet pill. They almost all contain stimulants that can damage the cardiovascular system, and then there’s Alli, which can give you explosive diarrhea, so I don’t think you want that pill either.

Diet and exercise should work perfectly fine. I think you’re probably either not giving it enough time (you should give it at least a month before you decide you’re not seeing results), or you aren’t dieting or exercising right.

As for your diet, you should be eating high protein, high fat (saturated not trans, and no that’s not unhealthy), low carb, low sugar. Keep your calorie intake around 1500 a day, carbs around 100-150 g a day, and as little added sugar as you can manage. Make sure to eat lots of fruits and veggies too.

And you need to push yourself when you exercise. A nice easy pace won’t do anything. You have to get sweaty, tired, and work hard. If you don’t feel tired when you’re done, if you’re not out of breath, you’re not doing it right. And you need to do both cardio and weight training, but on different days. Try and work out for at least an hour, 4-6 days a week.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Betty asks…

What weight loss supplement is right for me?

I’m a college student, 20 years old, 77 inches (6’5), and currently weigh 310 or so. In high school when i was 17 i weighed 225, so not even three years and gained close to 100 pounds. Unfortunately I’m somehow realizing how awful that is and how disappointed i am in myself and want to change it. In high school i played football and ran track and not doing those activities is probably what did it.

Like I said I’m currently in college. I have started dieting and working out more vigorously again and have lost 5 pounds in about two and a half weeks. While i understand that this is fairly decent progress i am still looking for something to take along with dieting and exercising that will help speed up the process. The only product i could think of is Hydroxycut but I’m not sure if that is a good option for me specifically. I know that all weight loss supplements are probably not the best option but I’m close to desperate. I’m not looking to become dependent on it, i just want something to sort of kick-start the process.

Being big runs in my family (my 16 year old sister is 6′ tall and my 13 year old brother is 6’1 200) but being overweight is’nt. My dad was always skinny and my mom runs marathons and is training for her first Iron-man or whatever the triathlons are called. I want to be healthy again and i know i can do it i just don’t know the proper way to go about it since I’ve never been overweight or had to lose a significant amount of weight.

My goal weight is about 250 (i think thats an okay weight but idk) and i would LOVE to be at that by the summer but I know that is pretty unrealistic. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated

Thank You,

weight loss cardiff answers:

No diet pills can help you lose weight, only temporary perhaps and its unhealthy for the liver and kidneys.

I suggest going to natural exercise, but in my case, i cant do strainous activities so im using this device called aurislim which is an earring you wear and causes weight loss simply by wearing it for 3 hours a day.

Ken asks…

When can I expect to see results if I cut calories and take a weight loss supplement?

I know I will lose weight faster if I work out and cut calories— but I just don’t want to. However, for the past week I have been eating smaller portions and not snacking, and taking a weight loss supplement pill I got from the vitamin store.
When can I expect to see some weight loss?

weight loss cardiff answers:

You need to take out 500 calories everyday for a week to just lose 1 pound.

So say you eat 500 calories less PLUS excerising right you could lose up to 2 or 3 pounds.

Pills dont work FYI.

You cant just eat whatever you want, not exercise and expect to lose weight. Thats just the harsh reality of it.

Sandra asks…

Has anyone tried the new weight loss supplement Triphala Premium?

I’ve heard a lot of buzz on TV about this new weight loss supplement Triphala Premium, just wondering if anyone has had any success with this product?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Yes, I’ve been using the supplement for only a couple of weeks and the change in my body has been absolutely wonderful. I’ve lost around 10 pounds already. It may not be that much but since I don’t really have enough time to go to the gym because of my work schedule, so 10 pounds is already quite impressive. Also, I have been feeling quite healthier. From what I’ve read, Triphala Premium is also a detox supplement and cleanser. Anyway, I highly recommend the product.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Chris asks…

does acai berry power 500 and total cleanse work?

I see these ads all over the internet and I guess Dr Oz reccomended it on Oprah. Have you tried it? Is it worth the money? Is there a certain diet plan you have to follow? I know there is no such thing as ‘miracle’ weight loss supplements I just wanna know if I spend the money will I actually see results?

weight loss cardiff answers:

This is a scam. I am not sure if the product works or not but don’t buy it from the online scam. It is NOT recommended by Oprah, despite the claims. I fell victim to the free trial claim, and within 2 weeks of ordering the free trials, my credit card was charged $80 a piece for each of those products! Canceling is not as easy as it seems, either, but after canceling the credit card I used and finally reaching the two separate companies I got it canceled.

Acai berries are really good for you, but go to a local health food store and buy some of the juice they sell there. Acai is already a natural cleanse so not sure if you really need the Total Cleanse product or not. I got them thinking it was only a trial and I had nothing to lose, but was wrong there. I do recommend the Acai berry, just don’t fall for the scam. 🙂

Ruth asks…

What’s the best way to drop a significant amount of fat within 2 weeks?

I’m going out with a girl in 2 weeks and want to drop some weight before then. I’m 6’1″, 265 lbs., 19 years old. My ultimate goal is to get to 225, but I’d be more than happy if I could get below 250 in 2 weeks. Any suggestions?
Also, I have two jobs, I already go to the gym 3 times a week, and I have been cutting back on what I eat.

weight loss cardiff answers:

First of all, let’s go the National Institutes of Health site to check desirable weights for height. You can follow this by clicking on the first link below. A healthy BMI (body mass index) is between 18.5 and 24.9.

At six foot one, 265 pounds, your BMI is now 35.0.

In order to get to a BMI of 24.9, you need to get your weight down to 189.

That being said, don’t rush the weight loss. Crash diets fail in the long term, and can be very dangerous, sometimes leading to death. “Cardiologist Isadore Rosenfeld, MD, a professor of clinical medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, in New York City, and author of the forthcoming Doctor of the Heart: A Life in Medicine, opposes crash diets (less than 1,200 calories a day) and detox plans like the Master Cleanse.” Click on the second link below for more about crash diets.

The sensible thing to do is to limit your weight loss to two pounds per week. Even this modest weight loss goal isn’t easy. You must burn about 1000 more calories per day than you consume to make this two-pounds-per-week goal achievable.

In order to do this, you need to find some activity that you will stick with that burns a lot of calories. Running is excellent, but at your present weight, you will be putting a lot of stress on your knees and ankles. I would suggest swimming for about an hour a day. Try alternating sprints with lower paced swimming. Walking is good too, but you will need to do a lot of it to burn a lot of calories.

As far as diet is concerned, your first step should be to eliminate empty calories: fried fast foods, cakes, candy. Soda, donuts, and the like. Eat plants, not food made in plants.

All my best to you in your weight loss goals, but don’t rush it. It took you many years to get to your present weight. Don’t try to shed it in a few short weeks.

Nancy asks…

If I start diet pills will I gain the weight back when I stop?

I’m starting Slimquick today, but just realized I may have to take it for the rest of my life! I really don’t want that, so I need to know if I’ll gain all of the weight back that I lost when I quit the pills. Anyone know anything?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I’ve tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don’t work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss (it’s actually a colon cleanse) and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it (it’s 100% natural). The results were excellent. I lost about 20 pounds in 2 months with this detox. That’s why I recommend you check this product at where they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.
Good luck!

John asks…

What types of food will help with weight loss?

I am currently trying to lose weight and I was wondering what foods can and will help me with weight loss. I I am trying to lose weight I gained from an injury I am still suffering from. So please ensure that this food is not to heavy. The only exercise I can do know is some yoga and walking! Thanks!

weight loss cardiff answers:

A good healthy diet high in fiber, lean meats, eggs, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, antioxidant foods, healthy beverages and low in added sugar and salt help people lose weight, gain weight, lower cholesterol, increase energy, improve brain function, lower blood pressure, reduce cancer risk and have a more positive lifestyle!
You need to eat a lot more food and a lot more fiber!
Diets that exclude foods from any food group are fad diets and do not lead to permanent weight loss or solve any other health issues.
First, try to kick your fiber intake to 40 grams of both soluble and insoluble fiber.
Whatever you do, get your fiber from your food, not from a jar.
Fruits and vegetables have good fiber in them.
Try a breakfast cereal with at least 20% of recommended daily allowance of fiber in it. They are usually low in sugar so there is a double benefit. Blueberries or raspberries on top add more fiber and antioxidants. But fresh or frozen, not the kind in syrup.
Raw nuts are a great source of fiber, healthy fats, and antioxidants. Avocados are the best.
Lots of beans, peas, and grains are high fiber. Whole grain breads. Fiber kicks up the metabolism so you actually burn more calories. These foods will give you more gas in the beginning but if eaten daily, the bacteria in the digestive tract will elevate lowering the gas output.
This will get you on the path for a healthy daily bowel movement. This helps clean the system and aids healthy digestion.
I know it goes against everything you’ve heard but eating lots of the right foods will actually help you lose weight!
Next, take a basic daily multivitamin. Don’t look at your multivitamin as nutrition but more as an insurance policy. Think of it as filling in the gaps in your daily diet as opposed to a primary source of nutrients. If you are a woman, you may want a plus iron formula.
Last, you HAVE to drink lots of water to be healthy. But you can disguise it. Fill your glass all the way full with ice before pouring low sugar beverages. Try iced green tea with a splash of orange juice in it for sweet. More antioxidants. Add lemon juice to water for flavor. Slice up a cucumber and float it in pitcher of water. Gives it salty fresh taste. But you must drink up to 100 oz of water daily to help your body get rid of waste and the toxins it contains.
You must combine a healthy diet with exercise to multiply the benefit. Whether an hour a day in the weight room or just a 30 minute brisk walk every day, the added benefit of a regular exercise program really do increase and accelerate healthy weight loss. Add exercise as your injury allows.
You will get motivated when the changes start happening, I promise.
Good luck.

“Fish pills” do nothing to contribute to weight loss.
Eat sensibly and exercise and worry less about the supplements.
