Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Ruth asks…

I want to lose as much weight/fat as possible in this time period, i know its not long but I know I can lose at least some. Please help. Im 13 weigh 102 and want to weigh at least 95 and im 5′2. I dont care if i dont need to lose weight or anything cause i want to. I hate my stomach and will docanything to getvrid of it. So what is the most/least possible pounds i can lose in 2 weeks and how like what diet plans or how much exercise or how i should exercise or whatever

weight loss cardiff answers:

If you want to rid yourself of fat around your stomach, you may need to totally ignore the bathroom scale. The human body maintains an energy in the form of fat or muscle even after a person goes on an extreme calorie reduced diet. Anorexic sufferers see the energy reserve (fat) and continue to try and lose it through starvation. That doesn’t work.

Please recognize that muscle is seven times as efficient (pound for pound) as fat tissue in providing an energy reserve. In other words, you can choose to build up two pounds of muscle tissue on your torso, or you can continue to store 14 pounds of fat around your stomach. If you are like me, you’d rather become involved in a free weight training program that will build muscle and decrease your fat energy reserve.

You can lose weight rapidly by changing your food choices. The optimal diet is a Whole Food, Plant Based (WFPB) diet. You will see a loss of about 5 pounds in two weeks if you merely change to a WFPB diet and give up excess sugar, salt, oils, fat, flavor enhancers, MSG, aspartame, and other food additives. Giving up most meat and milk can give you quick results, but over the long-term, you want a very healthy, balanced, diverse, mostly plant based diet. The initial weight loss will be a combination of fat, muscle, retained water, and waste products in your bowels. Over the long-term, you BMI will become optimal by eating a WFPB diet. This is a lifestyle, not just a temporary diet.

Mandy asks…

How can I loose a lot of weight in 2 weeks?

I eat somewhat healthily and exercise anyway, but I have an event in 2 weeks that I’d like to lose weight for. I need a specific diet/exercise plan. That doesn’t cost money.
10 pounds would be great. Thank you!
Oh, I’m also vegan.

weight loss cardiff answers:

When you do your food shopping, dont buy anything except fruits & veggies, and just have a fruit or vegetable (uncooked!) every time you get hungry. Also, work out like crazy for an hour or so a day. If you are that fat, none of this will work in 2 weeks, but if your looking to loose like 5-10lbs then go for it. It works every time for me.

Thomas asks…

How much weight did your baby gain at their 2 week check up?

I know most baby’s lose weight the 1st week then start gaining it back and are usually back to their birth weight by 2 weeks. I was just curious as to how much more your baby weighed at their 2 week check up than at birth.

weight loss cardiff answers:

She was born at 7 pounds even. And at the two week check up she was 7 pounds 3 ounces. Her doctor was pleased.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Joseph asks…

weight loss cardiff answers:

I found this on Yahoo Health
I hope it helps

It is a time-honored tradition to make resolutions at this time of year. If your resolution is to lose weight – and keep it off, then keep reading! Here are six simple tips that will have you losing weight in a balanced and healthy way.

1. Lose weight with water.
Water is essential for everybody – it is also the key to losing weight. If you haven’t been drinking enough water, your body has developed a pattern of storing water. This water retention equals extra unwanted weight.

By drinking more water, you are not only flushing out toxins, you are also teaching your body that it no longer needs to store water. Drink at least 60 ounces of water (about 8 glasses) a day. Boil water and sliced lemons, and drink this throughout the day to help with fluid retention. If you are still not sold on the merits of water, try this on for size: water is a natural appetite suppressant.

2. Soup up your weight loss program.
A simple dietary change will have you shedding pounds: eat a bowl of soup at least once a day. Nutritious, low-salt soups will nourish you as they flush waste from your body. People who eat a serving of soup daily lose more weight than those who eat the same amount of calories but don’t eat soup. Go for homemade soup whenever possible, as canned soups are loaded with salt and chemicals.

3. Eat early to keep weight off.
The human body follows a circadian rhythm, which means that the same foods eaten at breakfast and lunch are processed differently than when eaten at dinner. Studies show that when you eat your daily protein and fat at breakfast you tend to lose weight and have more energy; however, eating the same things at dinner tend to increase tendencies toward weight gain. I suggest that you eat your last meal of the day by 7 p.m.

4. Eat smaller meals, more frequently.
Follow an eating schedule with five little meals every day. Eating steadily through the day keeps you from becoming famished and overeating at your next meal. Make a low-fat trail mix from raw almonds, pumpkin seeds, dried plum, and apples and have it available at all times to avoid the tempting lure of high-calorie snacks.

5. Adopt a balanced approach to your diet.
Most of the fad diet programs out there nowadays are extreme in a few recommended foods, or else deprive the body of food altogether. This works in opposition to our metabolism and the results usually don’t last, producing a yoyo effect that depresses your metabolic function – not to mention your self-esteem. We are natural beings that need a balance of nutrition from all sources.

Your diet should consist of a balance of organic sources of lean protein, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, legumes, nuts, fruits, and vegetables. Instead of white rice and pasta, opt for brown rice, bulgur, millet, or buckwheat.

Eat more green, chlorophyll-rich foods such as broccoli, kale, spinach, and asparagus. Eliminate candy, sugar, soda, and all simple sugars from your diet. Excess sugar ends up being stored as fat in your body, which results in weight gain. Also, keep dairy to a minimum because most dairy products are high in saturated fat. Avoid fatty foods, processed or fried foods.

6. Walk off the weight.
The No. 1 cause of weight gain is inactivity. Physical activity is the key to speeding up your metabolism and burning excess calories. The best way to be physically active is to use your legs! Walk as often and as long as you can. Always take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Step outside during your break at work and take a walk around your building. Consider joining a local hiking club. Try taking a walk 30 minutes in the morning or 30 minutes in the early evening.

I hope this article helps you shed some pounds and add on the years! I invite you to visit often and share your own personal health and longevity tips with me.

Nancy asks…

How can I lose weight in 2 weeks?

I want to lose as much weight as I can!

weight loss cardiff answers:

There is no “Cure” for excess weight, and if you do lose weight in 2 weeks, that would probably be all water weight, which is very risky because you will be very dehydrated. Losing weight is a process and not a one stop ride. It will take you about how long it took you to gain it to lose it.

Richard asks…

How to lose weight in 2 weeks?

How do I lose alot of weight in two weeks?….If so how much weight would I lose??

weight loss cardiff answers:

You can EASILY lose 5 pounds in a week with this plan, this is what you got to do:

1) Eat ANY kind of food that are low or very low in Calories, Sodium, Carbs, and Fat, and if you really serious, low in Sugar too, ALL at once, don’t just look for 1 or 2 of these things, you have to know all the nutrition of the food you eat from now on. If your totally serious about weight loss, only eat bread for breakfast, (High fiber bread) and thats it for the rest of the day.

2) Drink lots of water, That’s horrible to read I know, I hate it too cause I see it all the time, BUT, you need to do it because then you get rid of your water weight problem and then the weight you lose you KNOW is not water, but fat, thats what you want.

3) You want to stay away from Sodium because that will store water and really make you gain water weight, so low sodium always and never add salt to the food you eat.

4) NO SODA! Not even diet, if you HAVE to drink soda then fine drink diet, but look at the label even diet soda’s have sodium and if your putting down a lot of soda then your drinking lots of sodium (WATER WEIGHT!)

5) Eat at least 4 mini meals a day, 2-3 hours apart. If you can find a appetite supplement that WORKS for you, then awesome, if not water will do just fine, just drink a lot and make sure its cold water. You’ll have to piss all the freakin’ time but thats good, your getting rid of excess water, thats what you want, trust me.

6) Eat no later then 8 pm. If possible, 7 pm would be even better. It’s OK to feel a little hungry before you go to bed.

7) Include exercise, nothing really extreme. For example, walk up the steepest hill you know of 4 times and if you can jog it. Have a mini trampoline? Jump high on it while watching your favortie tv show. OR just stay active in whatever you do. Have to buy groceries or your craving a jamba juice, then WALK there! Walk everywhere, jog there, just stay active, that works too.

Stick with this and you’ll definetly lose 5 pounds if not more. Probably more.

Good luck! Email me if you want to talk more.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

George asks…

Can i lose weight if i only eat 800 calories a day for only 3 days?

I want to lose weight. I’m 16 and about 147 pounds and im going on a beach trip in april and i want to lose weigth FAST! I found this thing called the 3 day diet which has you eat about 800 calories a day for only 3 days, and then requires 4 day of regular eating before you start the diet again. Problem is, my mom doesnt want to let me buy the stuff i need to do the 3 day diet. i want to do the 3 day diet with just different different foods. im thinking of just doing the 800 calories a day for 3 day with 4 days of regular eating but i wonder if it will work if i dont use the same foods as the 3 day diet…What do you think? Will it still work? should i do less calories?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Hey Leah, in short this diet is nothing short of ridiculous. It may seem like a good idea, but you will do you’re body far more harm than good.

Eating 800 calories will warn the body to go into starvation mode, which means it will store any new food as fat, meaning you might be losing some weight but you could still have the same fat. You’re metabolism will shut down so any change I.e 4 normal days of eating will completely confuse it. You’ll be tired, grumpy and will have frequent mood – swings – not pleasant.

Also, crash dieting for a holiday is a bad idea generally, because dieting isn’t a short term fix, trust me I know from experience. You are young so the body is still developing, you can’t restrict it with basically no calories! Try 1300-1500 calories if you must count them, or just stick to a balanced diet and exercise.

You are only young, so for goodness sake enjoy food (but not to excess) and enjoy the holiday!

Joseph asks…

Is running 3 days a week enough cardio to lose weight?

I want my program to be something similar to what we did in military basic training. There, we ran MWF and did muscle strength exercises TThS. I lost a lot of weight in basic training. Granted, we were constantly moving even not in organized exercise time. And we were eating 3 meals a day and never in between meals and were drinking lots of water. I know I’m going to have to be sensible with eating, but I can’t handle a strict diet. If I starting working out 6 days a week, alternating 3 days cardio and 3 days strength will it be enough to lose some weight and maintain the weight. Let’s say I do that and don’t change what I eat, don’t eat anymore than usual.

I suppose it would be good to run everyday, but I hate to do the same thing on consecutive days. We didn’t in basic training, and it worked. I got into the best shape of my life. Any suggestions? I’m so tired of being overweight.

weight loss cardiff answers:

If you want to lose weight some weeks. You can try Lose weight a week plan first!

Day 1:

Eat the soup accompanied with watermelon and melon for your main food all day long. Consume a glass of unsweetened cranberry juice before you go to bed.

For dinner you can consume roasted potato or baked potato with butter (don’t ever think to fry it)

Day 3:

weight loss cardiff answers:

Easiest way to lose weight fast and safely is to cut your calorie intake by eating more on fiber, fruits and vegetables. You’ll feel full with fewer calories on them. Fruits, vegetables and fibers are packed with nutrients but less on calories.

I lost 10 pounds in just 2 months using these tips.

Here are Tips to help speed up your metabolism plus help you lose weight without being miserable. They worked for me =)

“Taking the time to relax and savor food increases calorie and fat-burning power by up to 30%”, mainstains Marc David, author of The Slow Down Diet( Healing Arts Press, 2005).

The reason: Savoring stimulates the cephalic phase digestive response, or “brain phase” of digestion, which then sets up a slimming chain of events. First, it signals the hypothalamus, the brain’s emotion-and-appetite-control center, to trigger the release of the metabolism-reviving thyroid hormone and the pleasure neurochemical cholecystokinin (CCK). In turn, CCK hinders production of the stress hormone cortisol, a known cause of fat accumulation.

1. Outsmart Snack Attacks for 4 hours and Lose Weight

Savoring Berries can oustmart snack attacks for 4 hours and help you shed 5% of your body weight in 6 months. The credit goes to dozens of blood sugar stabilizing antioxidants. Bluberries are so packed with them, just a half cup daily can boost your blood levels by 100%.

2. Fill up on Fiber and Lose Weight Fast

Fill up on Fiber – Foods rich in fiber will make you feel satisfied and help curb your appetite, helping you to lose weight fast and safely – so make sure to pack your diet with fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

3. Boost fat-burning metabolic rate by 50% by sipping coffee

Sipping coffee before a meal can supress appetite by 35%, plus boost fat-burning metabolic rate by 50%, according to extensive research at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. The study-proven dose : 250 mg of caffeine daily, taken either in supplement form or by sipping to cups of coffee or 4 cups of tea.

4. Lose Weight just by eating Yogurt

Yogurt is a calcium-rich food. Research links calcium with lower cortisol production, and it has been proven that women who increase they’re intake lose up to 40% more weight than calcium avoiders.

Plus Yogurt has live microorganisms which helps proper digetion and absorption of nutrients we take. Make sure to get yogurts that says “with live microorganisms in labels/packages”.

5. Try this Hunger-Taming Trick

Cut fat and you’ll cut cravings. Consuming a high-fat diet may supress your body’s natural satiety signals, according to a new study from Pennsylvania State University. Animals who’d been consuming a diet rich in fat ended up eating 40% more of a high-calorie snack than those on average diets. Keep your fat intake to less than 30% of total calories.

6. Feel full on less food.

Apples are rich in pectin, a soluble fiber that slows the digestive process, so you’ll feel full on less food. The result: You’ll eat just enough food to make you happy, reducing calorie intake.

7. Studies suggest people pursuing a healthy weight could lose more weight and burn more fat by including 24 ounces a day of low fat or fat-free milk in their reduced-calorie diet, instead of 8 ounces or less.

8. Speed fat burn with Cranberries.

The ascorbic acid in cranberries helps thin liver bile, making it easier for the organ to emulsify fat so so it can be quickly flushed out of the system rather than stored in cells.

9. Boost your protein intake and lose almost a pound a week without hunger.

You can try protein smoothies. Packed with nutrients and low in calories, smoothies are a fast, easy and great tasting way to achieve good health.

You can find a wide collection of healthy fruit smoothies at :

By boosting your protein intake from the typical 15% of total calories to 30%, you may be able to cut your daily calorie intake by 440-enough to lose almost a pound a week without hunger, according to a recent University of Washigton study. “A high-protein diet appears to fool the brain into thinking you’ve eaten more than you have,” says the study’s lead author, Scott Weigle, M.D., a professor of endocrinology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Stick with lean protein rather than high-fat, artery clogging meat and dairy products. For breakfast, use low-fat milk instead of water in your oatmeal and sprinkle nuts on top. Eat plenty of beans, fish and skinless chicken breast.

10. To counteract a binge, keep your body’s fat-burning furnace running on full blast by drinking Green Tea.

Green Tea contains caffeine and the antioxidant epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) , which is proven to boost metabolic rate. In fact, in a recent 3 month study, participants who took Green Tea extract lost 4.6% of their body weight without changing their diet. To get the benefit, drink at least 3 cups a day.

Whenever I ate too much, I just drink green tea and I don’t have to worry gaining weight.

11. Speed weight loss and double energy levels by eating Coconuts.

This tropical treats contain medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), a unique fat that is shuttled straight to the liver and immediately burned for fuel. Research shows this little detour revs metabolic rate by up to 50%, speeding weight loss and doubling energy levels

Plus my favorite tip : Before you eat, drink a glass of water. This will help you feel fuller without additional calories (water has no calories). And Satisfy sweet cravings and keep your stomach full longer by eating all-natural fruits.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Charles asks…

Losing Weight…?

Ok, so I’m about 5’3/ 5’4 and I weigh on average 104 ILs I dont know if this is normal but I feel like I really need to lose some weight. I refuse to stop eating ’cause I love food but I think I need to cut down and start losing some weight. Has anyone any suggestions on how I can lose weight FAST and quite easily? Thank you! x

weight loss cardiff answers:

Here are a few tips:

1. You MUST exercise if you want to lose weight and keep it off, so do something every day, even if it’s just a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood. Don’t say you don’t have time for exercise; you have to MAKE time. Yes, it takes time and effort, but you’re worth it, right?

2. Walk as much as you want, but don’t do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat.

3. If you do strength training, use light weights and do lots of repetitions. That’ll really help you “tone up.”

4. Your diet will make you or break you. You have probably learned bad eating habits over time (most people do). That’s not your fault, but now you have to deal with it. Make a commitment to yourself to unlearn those bad habits and re-learn better habits.

5. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of getting up. People who don’t are 450% more likely to be overweight.

6. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three squares per day or one big meal per day. Your body expends energy digesting your food, so eating smaller portions more often keeps your metabolism running high because you’re constantly digesting food.

7. Avoid these as much as possible:

— Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)
— High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)
— Fast food
— Junk food
— White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes
— The deadly C’s (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)

8. Build your diet around these trim-body-friendly foods:

— Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)
— Beans/Legumes
— Fresh vegetables (green is GREAT!!!)
— Dairy products (as long as they’re low-fat or non-fat)
— Eggs
— Lean meats (fish and poultry top the list)
— Olive oil
— Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta
— Fresh fruits (anything that ends in “berry” is a winner)
— Tea (green tea or black pekoe tea)
— Cold water or ice water (your body has to expend extra calories to heat it up)

9. Desserts and treats are the exception, not the rule. Having said that, however, (1) you can have a couple of pieces of chocolate every day – just don’t overdo, and (2) Allow yourself one “cheat meal” every week where you eat and drink whatever you want as long as you don’t gorge yourself. That’ll help keep you from feeling deprived and it’ll make it easier to stick with your new healthy eating plan.

Good luck!

Another How To Lose Weight Easily For A Teen question

Ok I am 15, im a male, i weigh around 265 but a month ago I weighed 280 and I just quit all of my sodas and all of that and I do exercise, I MMA train with my friends and I play basketball a good bit , play football at church and lift weights, but since I lost that 15 pounds I havent been losing that much more, Oh yea and I’m 6’2.

weight loss cardiff answers:

The best way to lose weight is really simple.

The number one rule is portion control! NEVER overeat. Only eat until you are satisfied, not full. Once you are full you’ve eaten too much.

Eat about 6 times a day in small, nutritious meals. Don’t eat processed foods! That includes pizzas, many cereals, boxed and canned items, ice cream, sweets, chips, etc.Keep up the good work with quitting soda pop! I stopped 4 years ago and I don’t miss it at all! I don’t miss the 15 pounds I dropped after stopping it either.

Eat fresh and whole foods. Fruits and Veggies are your best friends! There are many ways to make them fun to eat. You could put some peanut butter on a stick of celery or dip carrots into low-fat ranch.

Another thing: Don’t use condiments! Yes, sometimes you just want ketchup and mayo. And if you must, then use them in moderation. But vinegar and olive oil, and mustard are much healthier alternatives.

Eat whole grains! Don’t eat white flour. That includes white rice, white bread, pastries, cakes, etc. Go for brown rice, whole-wheat breads, and other whole grains.

Eat nuts and seeds! They are a very tasty alternative to chips. Popcorn, with light butter is also a very good chip alternative.

Drink plenty of water, get enough sleep, and think positive!

As for exercise, walk briskly for 30 minutes every day! Go swimming whenever you can. Do some mild weight training to build muscle.

Do these simple things and you’re on your way!

Here’s a summary:

1. Portion control. Never overeat.
2.Eat several small meals a day.
3.Don’t eat processed foods or drink soda.
4.Eat fresh, whole foods.
5. Drink plenty of water and get enough sleep.
6. Think positive!
7. Walk briskly for 30 minutes every day!
8. Go swimming!
9. Do mild weight training.
10. Go do it right now!

Check out these videos for some exercising at home. Do one of these quick 10 minute videos every day along with you walking, weight training or swimming!

This sounds weird but when you are exercising, wear plastic bags under your clothes to help you sweat more. It helps. Make sure you bathe after!

weight loss cardiff answers:

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).
