I really need help with weight loss!?

I’m a 15 year old girl and a sophomore in high school. I’m so tired of being called fat and having people make fun of me for my weight. I’m currently 235 and i want to get down to at least 170. Only problem is, i can never seem to be motivated enough to do something. I never wanna get up and exercise, its hard to stick to a actual diet because of school lunches. I really need a good idea of what i should be eating, easy and simple weight loss exercises and, something to help motivate me to lose. Thanks (:

Well first off you need to really want this for yourself…not for others. Then cut out all sugary drinks, drink plenty of water, and walking is the best way to lose weight. It is working for me so far. I know school lunches suck, my 16 year old refuses to eat them. So either think about taking your lunch or cutting back on what you buy for lunch.

Easy weight loss/getting toned advice?

I am like 5’6 and about 125 pounds. I want to get healthier and lose a little weight and get toned, especially a flat stomach!!!!! Here is the catch: I hate running and I cant do a lot of things with my knees (lunges, etc) because they are really weak. But i am open to other exercises and food advice…. I want to make this process as fast as possible! Thank you!

The part that isnt flat in your stomach is fat and you’ll have to get rid of that by doing cardio. Since your legs aren’t strong though, you’ll have to either train them to be able to run OR just swim! Swimming is really easy on the limbs. You don’t even have to do a million laps, just casually glide and it’ll be worth it an hour everyday. At 125lbs and 5’6″, you may become underweight, so make sure you are eating enough. Abs are made in the kitchen, so make sure you have a healthy supply of everything and be weary of carbs and sugars, as that adds to the stomach! Good luck.

There is no ‘magic pill’ for losing weight. It all comes down to calories in / calories out. Not only ‘portion control’ is key but also you need to know what type of nutrition you are getting from the foods you are eating. Are you meeting your protein, fiber, calorie daily intake? Are drinking enough water / fluids? Are you exercising regularly?

It’s not easy but definitely possible. I lost 26 lbs in 12 weeks because I was consistent with my ‘weight loss plan’. I was eating 5 to 6 times a day. 2 Herbalife shakes (breakfast & lunch), mid-morning & mid-afternoon snacks and a healthy dinner. Check my profile for more details.

It is my lifestyle now. I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs/14kg and gained better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs/49kg for more than a year, with more fruits and complex carbs.

I’ve used the weight watchers online program and its the healthiest way to go, and trust me from experience stay away from diet pills whatever you do. This program is set up for your height weight ect and gives you so many points per day that you can have the great thing about it there’s no restriction on what you can eat but how much you can eat of each thing the lower the food points the more you can eat. It also keeps track of your daily exercise you should at least do something active 30 minutes a day to help burn calories. I’ve lost weight on this program and feel better then i have in a long time. Long story short eat healthier food and exercise there is no such thing as a quick fix its how bad do you want to lose weight and what are you willing to do to get there.

I have 3 very young children, and i need to lose weight. Since my kids take up most of my time I don’t have a lot of time to focus on the weight loss. Im sorry to tell you that there is no quick way to lose weight. Its not easy. But there are simple tricks.

1. Regard all soda as 1.5 pounds in can, on average, that is what you will gain if you drink it.

2. WALK ALL THE TIME! By a pedometer at a drugstore. You should be taking at least 5000 steps a day.

3. Dont let your metabolism drop! Eat small healthy snacks a around (5) times a day instead of meals. A port ion of anything is about a deck of cards sized. The body is not designed to eat 3 meals. By grazing and eating slowly you body has more time to tell you your full takes abotu 20 minutes to respond. The moment youre hungry, your metabolism has dropped and you are more likely to eat more. Dont let youself get hungry. Dont starve yourself.

It will take awile, but its worth it.

I’m not the kinda of I can do it girl, I went through a bad relationship and put on a lot of weight. I need a 30 min work out that i can do every other day that will show a difference in about 2 weeks. Other wise I get ever discouraged…. PLEASE HELP!!!

Firstly I’m glad you don’t want to diet. In order to lose weight and keep it off you need to make a healthy lifestyle changes and stick to them. There are no two ways about it. Diets only lead to future weight gain.
