I have a couple of water bottles next to the couch.. Each time I sit on the couch I pick them up and lift them up and down.
It is boring and it seems useless to do but if you get used to do it,., after just 20 minutes you will start sweating and your arm will get tired.
Just change arm and carry on, eventually it will become automatic and you might even want to progress to some dumbells, maybe a little bit heavier than the water bottle.

Like 50 -100 lbs or more. What did you do to maintain it?

I eat whatever i want but i go to the gym 15-20 hours a week….

I had great success a few years ago when I tried the Atkin’s diet. I followed it to the letter and lost around two stones in six weeks. If you follow it properly, and increase your carbs gradually, the weight stays off and you can eventually eat what you like without gaining any weight. I believe that it works by starving your body of carbs, when you introduce them agian, bit by bit, your body breaks them down and you gain no more weight. Obviously, some decent excercise is a must to rid yourself of any “loose, hanging bits” that appear when you lose so much, so fast. It certainly worked for me…

I’m 13 about 5’4″ and 148 pounds! I’m pretty strong but not cuz of workin out I was just born that way! and so a lot of my weight it probly muscle but a lot is fat too! and I really really want to lose it! my thighs are ENOURMOUS and my belly is flabby I’m not like obese or anything but not skinny by any means! somethin easy and free please thanks!

Well.. I am a 13 Nearly 14 Year old girl and i am quite overweight.
I Really Want to lose quite a lot of weight to be Healthy. However i am on my School holidays at the moment and so i am not excersising as much as i used to.. because when i am at school i walk to and fro everyday which is over 4 miles.

I know You probobaly think its Easier to exercise because its the holidays but its not that Simple..

Also Which doesnt help, i am really not a big fan of vegetables, when i eat certain ones they make me sick. However i do Love Fruit <3.

Please Can you tell Me What sort of foods i can eat And when and whatever else i could do! I really Want to Lose A lot of weight Before i go back to school which is in 5 weeks!

I think almost everyone finds that there isn’t any quick and easy way to lose weight. There are definitely ways to do it, but they require work and dedication! It’s not rocket science though; you’ll get slimmer if you exercise more and eat less.

You do not sound that overweight to me.

I was in a similar situation not too long ago. I needed to lose some weight for the summer.

I tried almost every weight loss program under the sun, and nothing seemed to work.

Any method of losing weight fast usually means that you will lose a lot of water weight which will come back quickly. That said, instead of dieting per say, you should permanently change your eating habits. Eat smaller portions of nutritious, well balanced meals 4-5 times a day instead of 3 large meals. Make sure you are getting enough protein (which means eating meat, chicken, fish, soy, dairy, eggs, etc).

Try adding some exercise to your daily routine. Even just a 30 minute walk or run 3-7 times a week will do you some good. The weight will come off slowly but surely and will stay off if you continue to maintain this lifestyle.

Skip out on the high sugar snacks like chocolate bars and candy.

No. Your body will go into starvation mode and retain weight. It’s even possible to go up a few pounds from it. What i would suggest is cutting out the majority of your salts because it causes water retention. You could see up to a 5lb loss(temporarily) from not having that extra water weight. It might be just enough to wear that dress for that occasion.

These people aren’t giving you the answer you want , so i will .

You could lose weight in that amount of time , by doing what you said – i’ve done it .

But , since its such a small period of time , you will probably lose 5 pounds only .

But it won’t show much , sadly .

The only change you’ll visibly see is a flat stomach , because you haven’t put food in it to bloat it at all so your stomach will shrink .

You also may feel sick , just a heads up .

And if you feel faint , eat a stick of celery . It WON’T change the results , if anything it’ll make them better – as celery has NEGATIVE CALORIES – you use more to digest it then it actually contains . :]

You’ll lose all your water weight… So you can lose like 4-5 pounds. But RIGHT when you eat something else you’ll gain it all back. And you’ll become so hungry that you’ll eat more than you usually would eat- resulting you to gain more pounds than before. Trust me, ive been through this alright. If you want to lose, just eat small meals during the day with low fat and low calories and excersize.
