How can I get an Adderall prescription for weight loss?

I know that Adderall is used for ADHD but it is some times used for weight loss. I would like to talk to my doctor about it, however, I dont know how.

Can anyone give me some sort of help as to getting it prescribed without having to take any other drug first?

It’s better and way easier to get Phentermine. You can get it from a weight loss doctor or sometimes maybe even a general physician. It’s very helpful. Phentermine and Adderall affect appetite the same way, at least for me. However, be warned that either one of these can only be taken for about 2-3 months at a time, with about an 8 week break between, because your body builds a tolerance. Once a tolerance is built, the weight loss will plateau, and you need to give it a rest for the medicine to leave your system, not to mention it’s not good for your blood pressure. Some weight loss doctors provide shots (B6, B12, & Lipo combined is the best) which can be received once a week even when off Phentermine, so that’s helpful.

Why is amphetamine no longer used for weight loss?

It is just because of the abuse potential, because I’m sure it’s not that bad. Used for weight loss, it probably would be more effective and easy than any other treatment. I can’t believe they’d rather cut you open and mess with your stomach instead of just give you a prescription for amphetamine. I take the stuff for ADHD and it doesn’t seem like anything anybody would want to abuse.

I took Zoloft years ago (it’s been around awhile, but that doesn’t make it any less effective). I took it for over two years.

I recall it being more of a calming medication, and I was prescribed it for depression, anxiety. And calm days made for easier nights falling asleep. There is often an initial weight change that resolves itself in a matter of a month or two. Thinking back, Zoloft was one of the better tolerated meds for me, with only one side-effect that I couldn’t stand: it messed with my libido. I could “perform” well but I couldn’t “finish”. Which is not so bad for guys who finish too soon.

Sorry if that was more information than you wanted to hear. As far as weight gain, Zoloft was not problematic for me.

I watch these weight loss programs and there is something quite wrong about them that i can’t put my finger on. Also it’s weird that people watch them while eating chips and other junk food.

Well it’s a program. On tv. Even if they are real people on the program, they’re PAID to be there. For all anyone knows, the program could just be a bogus scam that only works for people already fit. And just watching them from home doesn’t necessarily mean that people will actually do whatever the trainer says. Like you said, people could just be snacking away thinking they’re losing weight when they’re doing nothing but jack.

Post Pregnancy Weight Loss?!?

Does anyone have an easy workout regimen that’s quick and effective. Right now I cant seem to find anything that works that I can stick too. My 7 month old son doesn’t give me much free time (which I don’t mind at all) but I would like to try to work back down to my prebaby weight. Which means I have about 9 pounds to go. Any Ideas?

Is it possible to lose 30lbs in two months…safely!!!? I heard that it’s considered unsafe to lose more than 2lbs a week..is this true. My mom used to be a semi pro body builder and she would crash diet just so she can be in perfect shape for a competition. I’m not trying to hurt myself i just want to get myself back into my old football playing shape.
I have a bad back and bad knees from football so i would need something easy.
What are your diets plans/workout routines that helped you lose the maximum amount of weight?
What type of workouts did you do and see the fastest results?

Is circuit exercises more effective for weight loss?

I’m trying to lose weight but have yet to really find an exercise routine that works for me. I have found on a military website on fitness and losing weight that circuit workouts work really good? I find it easier than just running for 30 mins to do just run for 5 then do squats for 2 mins then run 5 more then crunches for 2 mins then run 5 more and ect… because usually im too tired by the end to be able to fit in crunches and stuff.

Is this still really effective for weight loss as it would be to run for 30 mins? thanks!

I plan on getting on the weight loss program in November (after having a baby). I would like to know if it really works???!!!! Just checked out their website and started looking around. I can’t find a price without letting them know my personal information. Does anyone know about how much it cost? Did it work for you? My plan is to drop about 50-60 pounds. The reason I am considering Nutrisystem is because the food is already made. With having a new baby I will be pressed for time. Please only respond if you have tried it or know someone that has. I just ordered Nutrisystem on Saturday 8/25/07 and I recieved my box of food yesterday 8/29/07. I have been on it for 2 full days! The first day I hated the first 2 things I ate and I was pretty pissed off and thought I would deffinatly quit. But today, however, everything I ate was actually really good!! I oredered the variety pack and my next month I’ll get to choose which meals I like. You get ALOT of food and you eat like 6 times a day. They give you one week free…so it’s 5 whole weeks of food. I paid exactly $293.90. It just was charged onto my credit card today. The people on the site are really cool and there are chat boards and free online classes. There is a lot to do on the site and it’s quite fun making friends that are doing the same thing you are. I work ALOT, so I think that this is the best diet plan for me. I have gained 45 pounds since having my daughter 9 months ago (in November also). So far i feel like i have more energy and I’m happy with it.
