How to kick start your weight loss?

I have recently hit a plateau in my weight loss and have stayed teh same for the past 3 weeks. What can I do to get back on track. I have switched up my meals so they are not the same, remain eating healthy, i walk 4-5 km’s a day, lots of water, 20 minutes of intense cardio a night.

Plateaus are very normal and they CAN be as long as 1-2 months. Just don’t give up, it just means that your body got used to the way you treat him now. Change your exercise, maybe intensify it or make it longer. Just don’t lose your motivation until the plateau is over and you will be on your way to gain your goal weight! 🙂

I am looking for good weight loss tips – healthy ways to continue to lose weight, not fad diets, pills, etc. I have currently lost almost three pants sizes, and have (fingers crossed,) lost a lot of weight in the past three years or so…primarily in the past few months.

It can be easy if you put your mind to it. Start getting rid of those fattening fast foods like McDonalds, Wendys, Burgerking, etc. Don’t eat things with too much fat including sweets like donuts or cookies. Eat things with protein. Eat salads, fruits, veggies, and most importantly drink LOTS AND LOTS of water. If you are still hungry after you ate something, chew gum to help you ignore it. Hope this helps 🙂

I think a vast number of persons hate the image they see of themselves in the mirror commonly because of excess weight. If you have that extra fat around your stomach and/or obese, I’m here to tell that it’s not impossible. Losing weight is a very simple thing, but the difficult part is what most people lack and that’s motivation and determination.
It’s easy to get up at some point and just start working. However, here is the part that makes us stop – as soon as we are done working out we look in the mirror and expect to see actual results. Well folks that’s IMPOSSIBLE! Changing our body takes time like everything else that’s worth it. If we all could wake up with a 6 pack tomorrow then I don’t believe reading this right now would make any sense.
Here’s how it works, if you want to lose weight:
· Stop making up lame excuses and start working out. Too many times I’ve seen persons delay their work out program and continue eating crap because they have convince themselves that it’s okay to eat crap for they are determine that they will work out tomorrow. Funny thing though is that tomorrow never comes.

· Learn your body type and plan a workout and diet program base on you. The thing that most people don’t realize is that a weight loss strategy used by one person may not necessarily work with someone else. For e.g. The weight loss diet of a 6 feet tall man will NEVER help a 5 feet 2 inches man lose weight. Learn what works for you by reading and don’t be convince by fab diets.

How lose weight fast before the summer season starts?

So as you all know, it’s almost summer !! As of right now, I’m 5’5 and 145 pounds. I know I know I’m overweight haha so I obviously need to lose some stomach and thigh fat before the middle of June. I’m a competitive swimmer, so I excersice at least an hour and a half every day. However, practice ends in two weeks, so I won’t be getting to burn those extra calories anymore. What kind of excersises do I need to do to make my stomach and thighs slimmer? How many calories do I need to consume each day? Is 20 pounds a realistic goal for the middle of June? Weight loss tips? I plan on getting on the weight loss program in November (after having a baby). I would like to know if it really works???!!!! Just checked out their website and started looking around. I can’t find a price without letting them know my personal information. Does anyone know about how much it cost? Did it work for you? My plan is to drop about 50-60 pounds. I just ordered Nutrisystem on Saturday 8/25/07 and I recieved my box of food yesterday 8/29/07. I have been on it for 2 full days! The first day I hated the first 2 things I ate and I was pretty pissed off and thought I would deffinatly quit. But today, however, everything I ate was actually really good!! I oredered the variety pack and my next month I’ll get to choose which meals I like. You get ALOT of food and you eat like 6 times a day. They give you one week free…so it’s 5 whole weeks of food. I paid exactly $293.90. It just was charged onto my credit card today. The people on the site are really cool and there are chat boards and free online classes. There is a lot to do on the site and it’s quite fun making friends that are doing the same thing you are. I work ALOT, so I think that this is the best diet plan for me. I have gained 45 pounds since having my daughter 9 months ago (in November also). So far i feel like i have more energy and I’m happy with it. Is it common to feel ill while on the master cleanse/lemonade diet ?

Well I’ve been on the master cleanse for three days now. I have been following the rules pretty well and I’m just wondering if its common to feel ill on it. The first two days I felt absolutely no sickness but this morning I got three hours of sleep and woke up really sick, dry heaving and everything. I have no fever however, I was just wondering if this is common on the master cleanse or is this just normal sickness caused by some sort of virus ?

I felt weak for the first 3 – 4 days. I did feel ill when I think about it. I remeber having great difficulty I think on day 3 trying to consume the Lemon and syrup mix. This all passed however after day 4. Only other thing was there were a couple of nights were I just could not get proper sleep. I believe you are probably experiencing a normal condition associated with following the diet strictly.

I thought I would paste an answer to another question below as it may contain some usefull info (but maybe not) for you.

I have just completed a similar detox (though I purchased the actual Madal Lemon Detox. The syrup is a combination of palm and maple.
In the promotional booklet, I believe it mentioned that you should not spend more than 14 days on the cleanse without first seeking medical advice.
The mix I used was 140ml with arround 4 – 6 lemons and 1/2 tsp of cayene pepper and added suffcient water to make 2 litres.
I had a cup of Senna tea at night (for me this was gross) in the morning I used to drink 1 litre of water mixed with 3 teaspoons of sea salt. (this was drunk within about 10 minutes on an empty stomach) The sea salt mix travels through the body quickly and be sure to stay close to the toilet for about an hour.
So per day, I had 1 litre of salt water, 1 – 2 litres of pure mineral water the 2 litres of prepared Lemon detox mix and the horrid Senna tea at night. ( it may just be a personal dislike of the Senna tea, as I havnt noticed anyone else complain about it)

I stayed on this for the full 14 days. I had big difficulties up untill day 4 I felt weak, and my weight appeared to have actually increased!!
After day 4, it became quite easy as if something in the body just switched over. I would have had no problem staying on it longer, but I thought 14 days was probably long enough without solid food.
Incidently, I felt that I suffered significant muscle wasting using the diet. I did little or no exercise as my understanding is if you do a lot of exercise while on the diet you will lose muscle. This was the negative side.

The positive side?? I did actually feel better physicaly and mentaly. I felt motivated and commenced an exercise program (after completion of the diet) and my weight loss?? Well I droped arround a stone in weight and the weight loss was noticed by everyone I new. So, for me it was worth while.

Day 3: Eliminates the potato because you get your carbohydrates from fruits. Your system is now prepared to start burning excess pounds. You will have cravings, which should start to diminish by day four.
Day 4: Bananas and milk. You are in for a surprise. You probably will not be able to eat all the bananas allowed. But they are there for the potassium you have lost and the sodium you may have missed during the last three days. You will notice a definite loss of desire for sweets and you will be surprised at how easy this day will go.

What is the easiest way to lose weight? Please read details?

Obviously I understand, healthy diet and excercise, but what if you don’t have the time for that. You would probaly say make time. We here’s my situation. I work 12-14 hours a day between 5 and 6 days a week. I am not looking to lose a lot of weight, just in the area of 10lbs, 15 pounds max. If i had a perfect world, i would be able to sleep a decent schedule and eat meals on a schedule, but the fact is 4 days I work 0500-1900 than 2 days off and than 1700-0700 the next 4 days and 2 off.
