but now i’ve gained all the weight back since recovering, and i want to go on a healthy diet and exercise plan

Diet Pills- Don’t buy or waste your money. On average they cost between 20-60 dollars and it is basically money down the drain (I am sad to admit that I’ve spent about 40.00 total on diet pills in my life and if I could do it again, I wouldn’t, I’d be 40.00 richer today)

As for a diet plan- well I would give you a very detailed plan but I don’t know your height, weight, age and how much you’re looking to lose nor what foods you don’t like. But I will give you a basic overview and basic direction to where you should be headed.

PROTEINS: (animal products, dairy, legumes)
eggs, white boneless chicken breast (baked, grilled, boiled), oven roasted turkey breast (from the deli), low fat cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, Swiss, Munster), baked salmon (seasoned with lemon and parsley), grilled salmon, chunk light tuna – drained in water, chunk light salmon- drained in water, baked flounder, baked Tilapia- nothing fried, hummus, garbanzo beans, red beans, black beans, natural peanut butter, unsalted peanuts, almonds, almond butter, Brazil nuts, cashews, Greek fat free yogurt, low fat milk, almond milk, soy milk, lean ground turkey or chicken beef, fat free cottage cheese

FRUITS/VEGGIES: all are good!

whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, whole wheat couscous, thin crackers, rice cakes, corn, sweet potatoes, squash, Spelt pretzels, unsalted pretzels, light air pop corn, baked veggie chips, oatmeal, Nature Valley granola bars, Kashi fruit and cereal bars, balance bars, Luna Bars, high fiber cereals (check sugar content always less than 12 grams per serving)

How can I tell if I’m retaining water or gaining weight?

I’ve noticed that my weight goes up and down daily. For example on Friday my weight was 1_3, Saturday my weight increased by 3oz’s and then on Sunday my weight increased to 1_9. I haven’t been over eating however I’m not on a healthy diet plan and I could drink more water. I am also bloated and gassy which is why I refused to weigh myself today. Could my up and down weight loss/gain be water retention or a combination of all of my symptoms. How do I get rid of all of these symptoms?

6 Month Diet Plan:
Month 1 week 1-3: Have a apple or light fruit for lunch and breakfast. Do hard exercise for 1 hour everyday each morning.
Month 1 week 4-Month 2 week 2: No fatening things or junk food. Go for a mile walk everyday-add on more if you can push yourself further.
Month 2 week 3-4: Fruits and vegetables everymeal and one surving protient.
Month 3 week 1-4: Do hard exercise in the morning for atleast an hour and a half. Limit all junk food dont eat unless you are hungry, dont just eat because its 12 in the afternoon. Try to make it to dinner with just a couple of peices of fruit, when feeling hungry drink tea.
Month 4 week 1-4: Walk 5 miles in course of day, fruit and veggies for breakfast in lunch if hungry and normal dinner.
Month 5 week 1-2: Hard exercise in morning, walk 3 miles in course of the day. Drink only water, half cup of coffee if you have to. No fatening dinners like mashpatatoes or gravy. Drink tea when hungry-if actually fills you up.
Month 5 week 3-4: Walk as many miles as you can 5+ carrots for lunch everyday and grapes for breakfast. One piece of meat for dinner.
Month 6 weeks 1: Walk as many miles 5+ only fruit and veggies every meal.
Month 6 week 2-4:Hard exercise and walk 3 miles eat when hungry something fillling but not fatening.

How can I lose weight without exercising?

I suffered a back injury. It is continuous and anytime I try to exercise my SI joint and L4/L5 are effected and I end up on my back again. It is a vicious cycle and I want to lose weight and tone up. Anybody have any recommendations on what I can do to lose weight without exercising?

Weight loss will be slower for you, but it can happen…if you can swim or do any form of water aerobics or activity that wouldn’t stress your back, that might be an option to help you burn extra calories without aggravating your injury…also possibly a recumbent bike (stationary) as it would have you in a position to help your back relax (slightly reclined)…

If you have gone or are going through physical therapy (which would be common for an injury) what kinds of exercises do you do for that? Surely your PT trainer encourages you to do your exercises at home as well…
