How do you lose weight fast and effectively?

I was wanting to go on a fasting diet but i don’t no how. I thought it might be a good way to lose weight if i only eat like one time a day. I want to lose weight fast because i think my weight is making me depressed. I lost 20 pounds over the summer but now that its fall/winter again i’m afraid to gain it all back and i would still like to lose more. I’m not skinny at all. I am about 190 pounds and just want to lose it. Thank you.

How do you lose weight without exercising?

I want to lose weight without exercising, i heard about eating a lemon a day keeps the fat away but i don’t know if that’s true, but i still want other ones as well please help! 🙂

You could loose weight without exercise but its not really healthy. Too loose weight you need to burn more calories than you consume in a day. And it might be unhealthy to do this without exercise (because that means your not eating much, unless you have a very high metabolism). You could eat very healthy and loose weight but honestly you should start to workout/exercise a bit. Its good for you and your body and has more benefits than just weight loss alone. Even if its small things, just start working out & exercising. Even playing sports etc. Will do.

If you want to lose weight, you must do it the healthy way, the only way to go is to eat healthy and do some sort of exercise. I’m the same age as you and I weigh about 112 at the moment. My trick is I made a list of a bunch of junk foods that I enjoy and eat often and each month I choose one to not eat for the rest of the year. I’m not sure if that made sense but yeah. It’s challenging but it works. The main one is pop and I noticed a very big difference once I stopped drinking it.

You also NEED to exercise, at least a bit. If you aren’t big on going to the gym or going for intense runs, just go for a walk at a fast pace for an hour and do this every day. When you get home do some crunches and stretches.

You don’t need equipment. Try to do little things, when you go to eat, eat less and make a better food choice, instead of pop water, milk or some juice, instead of chips, some fruit or veggies. Just simple things. And just do an extra walk during the day or walk up and down your stairs like ten times in the morning. Try not to be depressed it will make it harder to loose weight. Also take an extra serving of veggies at dinner, eat slower and wait 5 min before you go for seconds. Also drink a glass of water before dinner that helps as well. If you can stay after school and use your school weight room for an hour every other day. Simple things like the bike, or treadmill, or do light weight lifting to strengthen muscles. I started doing these things and I used to weight 190, and in about two months I got down to 170. Thats about 10 pounds a month about 2.5 pounds a week which is a normal and safe rate to loose weight.

If you try to starve your self you will lose weight but when you eat your body will turn it into fat because it thinks its starving. 2 or 3 pounds a week is about the limit you want to loose a week.

Also if you do go to the weight room see if some of your friends want to join you to make it fun. Even tell them you are trying to loose weight and you would like it if maybe one day out of three you go in if they would just come with you and have a different friend for each days.

Also remember to work out every other day, you need a rest day or you will hurt your body

ps: one day of the week like a sat you can have as a pig out day, eat your sweets and fatty foods its actually good to do this cause it shocks your body and will in a way help you loose weight. As weird as it seems.

Also try to balance the things you eat and need. Eat small meals during to day so you can eat a big dinner. That’s the meal you need the most from. And try to start your day with protein, and mid day get your fiber and some fruit for a sweet. And some veggies.

Quick and easy weight loss?

I just want to lose weight so that my jeans fit better… they are especially tight around the back of the thighs in the jeans. I am planning on running up to 3 miles/day and eat healthy lots of fruits and veggies and protein. ANything else? What kind of weights should I be lifting? I usually do bicep curls 3 sets of 12 and triceps.

In a baby book I have it says its ok to loose weight in early pregnancy because you may feel sick/food averisons etc. But you shouldnt try to intentionally loose weight. You will gain about 15-25lbs in pregnancy.

Just started losing weight from my first child and just found out that I am pregnant. I was 160 before my first child and 320 in my last trimester. I had lost 60 lbs so far. Exercise and eat healthy. It’s not a great idea to diet during pregnancy, but you can help by eating right and exersicing. I am a bigger girl and I have YET to gain a pound. My nurse said it was perfect since they only want to see me gain about 15 lbs. I cut out most of my pop intake, and I’m eating smaller amounts along with taking my prenatals. I don’t “gorge” like I used to. I also eat more than just 1 time a day. Before I got pregnant, that’s all I would eat, now I eat 3 small meals a day with some healthy snacks in between. It sped up my metabolism and in my face, legs and arms, you can actually tell I’m losing weight, but the baby getting bigger is counter-acting it on the scale. Good luck and congrats.

Ok, So im pregnant again, my son is 7 months old and i haven’t lost the weight from that pregnancy so im concerned about having this baby while so overweight! I was considering abortion but i have decided against it. So, i was wondering what i should do to lose weight and get in shape during this pregnancy? I have been doing floor exercises and walking 2 to 3 miles a day and i was going to start jogging before i found out i was pregnant but im not sure if i should now. What are some things some of you have done?

It is not considered healthy at all to intentionally lose weight while pregnant. Some basic exercises that are low impact (swimming, walking) and minding what you eat so that you don’t go completely overboard and gain too much weight are allowed, but regardless of your starting weight, you need to gain weight while pregnant for a healthy pregnancy.

Generally if you’re a healthy weight, they recommend gaining 25-35lb weight gain.
If you’re overweight (as defined by BMI, not just weighing more than you did before) they still want you to gain 15 to 25lbs
If you’re obese, they would like to see your weight gain between 11 and 20lbs.
