What is a good weight loss plan for a month?

I am a 19 year old guy, and I am going on a cruise next month. Problem is, after I quit playing baseball in high school I slowly got lazier and started to gain weight, so much to the point where I definitely need to lose it. I had planned on doing this over a 3 month period, but I got swamped with finals at the end of the year and was too busy and stressed out to work out. Now, the clock is ticking. I relied on fast metabolism for too long.

I plan on going on a high vegetable/salad diet, but I need a good workout plan. I’m not expecting to completely sculpt myself in a month, but just toning down this beer gut would be nice.

I have a weight bench and a treadmill in my garage, which is what I primarily plan on using for working out. It looks kind of like this; http://thefuntimesguide.com/images/blogs/weight_bench.jpg

I also have a one-hand adjustable barbell and a standard curve bar.
What kind of workout should I do for maximum weight loss, primarily in the gut? This is more about thinning up and not filling out, mind you.

Any helps with workout regime/tips would be appreciated and I will gladly answer questions if you need additional information.

I agree with yewieh. I think you should start running about 2 miles a day, 4-5 days a week. I eat chicken breast salad with fresh spinach and tomatoes, a little parmesan cheese, and vinegar and light dressing for dinner. It’s huge, filling and only about 300-400 calories. But lots of fruit and GREEN vege’s and you will start having the energy to start working out more.

Also if you sitting at the computer or watching tv, feel free to do arm or tummy exercises, rock back and forth, etc. This movement will up your calorie burning and it can add up if you do it regularly everyday.

You can’t make someone lose weight. If she’s overweight, I’m sure she’s insecure about it in the first place. You could always offer to exercise with her. Just don’t act you’re ashamed of her or always tell her she needs to lose weight.

You don’t need equipment. Try to do little things, when you go to eat, eat less and make a better food choice, instead of pop water, milk or some juice, instead of chips, some fruit or veggies. Just simple things. And just do an extra walk during the day or walk up and down your stairs like ten times in the morning. Try not to be depressed it will make it harder to loose weight. Also take an extra serving of veggies at dinner, eat slower and wait 5 min before you go for seconds. Also drink a glass of water before dinner that helps as well. If you can stay after school and use your school weight room for an hour every other day. Simple things like the bike, or treadmill, or do light weight lifting to strengthen muscles. I started doing these things and I used to weight 190, and in about two months I got down to 170. Thats about 10 pounds a month about 2.5 pounds a week which is a normal and safe rate to loose weight.

If you try to starve your self you will lose weight but when you eat your body will turn it into fat because it thinks its starving. 2 or 3 pounds a week is about the limit you want to loose a week.

Also if you do go to the weight room see if some of your friends want to join you to make it fun. Even tell them you are trying to loose weight and you would like it if maybe one day out of three you go in if they would just come with you and have a different friend for each days.

Also remember to work out every other day, you need a rest day or you will hurt your body

ps: one day of the week like a sat you can have as a pig out day, eat your sweets and fatty foods its actually good to do this cause it shocks your body and will in a way help you loose weight. As weird as it seems.

Also try to balance the things you eat and need. Eat small meals during to day so you can eat a big dinner. That’s the meal you need the most from. And try to start your day with protein, and mid day get your fiber and some fruit for a sweet. And some veggies.

Quick and easy weight loss?

I just want to lose weight so that my jeans fit better… they are especially tight around the back of the thighs in the jeans. I am planning on running up to 3 miles/day and eat healthy lots of fruits and veggies and protein. ANything else? What kind of weights should I be lifting? I usually do bicep curls 3 sets of 12 and triceps.

i need ideas for easy dieting or weight loss plans. Like easy ways to loose weight fast. I have been bulimic in the past and anorexic at one point and i want to change my life style to a healthier eating and exercising habits. I used to be a lot thinner and just really want my pre-baby body back. Can anyone help me with tips for dieting and exercising on a low budget?

You can do crunches (like 100 regular and 50 on each side every day) or other ab things like holding your legs at 45 degrees for as long as you can, crunches with your legs straight up in the air, sit ups, crunches on a fitness ball, or lay flat on your back and lift your legs to 90 degrees and continue to lift your butt off the ground <– thats one rep and its really good for your lower stomach. If i run every day and do a bunch of crunch things (like 20 min) i see a big difference in a week. There are tons of these types of workouts out there. I would try a lot and find out which ones you like and feel they success-fuly burn the most.

Good calories/bad calories.
Omega 3 laden salmon, wild pacific, good. Good
Grain fed (omega 3 deficient) Cow meat fried in canola oil. Bad

AND

Nutrient density. If you eat a pile of pasta with cheese and meat, you’re not getting a wide variety of nutrients! You gotta pack on the nutrients in every bite. Go with the 80% raw, whole plant based diet with nuts, seeds, sprouts, all that stuff. Then add on some really high-nutritious foods that are cooked.

That way, your body stops being hungry because it has all the nutrients it wants, you feel good, you feel full, and your body chills out.

I have tried every diet under the sun… Jenny craig, weight watchers, tony ferguson, other shake diets, detoxing, even obesity pills,

I honestly believe that there is no quick fix. I have now lost a total of 18kg after having kids and the quickest I have ever lost has been in the past 3 weeks where I have lost 4kg.

I have increased my water intake to 2-3 litres a day (I force myself to drink it!!) and I have stopped stressing on it (the more I stress the less I lose) and I just really monitor my portion sizes and what I eat!! And honestly THATS IT!! It’s been the best and healthiest way I have ever lost weight!!
