I have been eating right and working out but i’m really struggling to lose weight. I only need to lose about 17 pounds but it just won’t come off. I have fasted before in the past for 2-3 weeks and it really helped me to lose weight but the only thing is that after I was done fasting I started eating a lot of junk food and put back on all the weight, if not more…I think that since I fasted it slowed down my metabolism a lot because I used to be able to lose weight very easily and now that i’m working hard it’s just not coming off…

I see these ads all over the internet and I guess Dr Oz reccomended it on Oprah. Have you tried it? Is it worth the money? Is there a certain diet plan you have to follow? I know there is no such thing as ‘miracle’ weight loss supplements I just wanna know if I spend the money will I actually see results?

This is a scam. I am not sure if the product works or not but don’t buy it from the online scam. It is NOT recommended by Oprah, despite the claims. I fell victim to the free trial claim, and within 2 weeks of ordering the free trials, my credit card was charged $80 a piece for each of those products! Canceling is not as easy as it seems, either, but after canceling the credit card I used and finally reaching the two separate companies I got it canceled.

Acai berries are really good for you, but go to a local health food store and buy some of the juice they sell there. Acai is already a natural cleanse so not sure if you really need the Total Cleanse product or not. I got them thinking it was only a trial and I had nothing to lose, but was wrong there. I do recommend the Acai berry, just don’t fall for the scam. 🙂

I’m going out with a girl in 2 weeks and want to drop some weight before then. I’m 6’1″, 265 lbs., 19 years old. My ultimate goal is to get to 225, but I’d be more than happy if I could get below 250 in 2 weeks. Any suggestions?

Running is excellent, but at your present weight, you will be putting a lot of stress on your knees and ankles. I would suggest swimming for about an hour a day. Try alternating sprints with lower paced swimming. Walking is good too, but you will need to do a lot of it to burn a lot of calories.

As far as diet is concerned, your first step should be to eliminate empty calories: fried fast foods, cakes, candy. Soda, donuts, and the like. Eat plants, not food made in plants.

All my best to you in your weight loss goals, but don’t rush it. It took you many years to get to your present weight. Don’t try to shed it in a few short weeks.

I don’t eat salad. I only like about five kinds of vegatables. I don’t eat a lot of fruits, although I like many kinds. With only red meat, chicken, rice, and potatoes as my main diet, I am at a loss of how to lose weight. I run about 15 miles a week and do muscular strenghth or endurance exercises about 45mins daily.

If weight loss is your goal, you should focus your workout on cardio. How many days per week do you run? Ideally, you should do some type of cardio 5-6 days per week for 30-60 minutes per session. I would recommend running perhaps 3 days a week and supplement it with another form of cardio, perhaps bicycling, swimming, or anything you enjoy. You should also mix up your runs. One day should be a long, but relatively easy run, another a more intense but shorter run and then run intervals on the 3rd day. Ive never seen that button on a treadmil… But what i do on the treadmil with my friend is interval training. We have 2 treadmils and one is going at 10 or 11 mph and the other is at 3.5mph and every minute we switch. We do this for about 20-30 mins and this interval training has made me lose body fat fast. Went from 16% body fat to 8% body fat… And i do the same thing on the stairmaster.
