Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Donna asks…

Do ANY weight loss supplements actually work?

I am looking for something natural, that will give my weight loss a bit of a kick start. I am really urgently needing to lose some weight and I am worried that exercise and diet just aren’t enough to get me over that edge. Does anyone know any good reliable natural things I can take to give my body that extra boost it needs? I drink green tea now, anything else?
P.S. I know there is sooo much junk out there. I am not looking for a “magic pill”.

weight loss cardiff answers:

No ,

David asks…

What are some safe weight loss supplements that can be used with diet and exercise?

I’m not looking for a magic pill that miraculously makes me lose weight. I am looking for something I can take along with diet and exercising that maybe can speed up the process or produce more results. Most importantly it should be safe, but also if possible, natural. I’m looking to lose around 15-20 pounds, just some weight I gained over summer. Please let me know any good recommendations, especially if you have tried it yourself.

weight loss cardiff answers:

You can try the following,

*) Green Tea before workout to crank up your metabolism.
*) L – Carnitine -> This helps in moving the hard fats to mitochondria and converts them to energy
*) Fish oil -> Can be useful for skin and cardio
*) Multivitamin -> Assuming that you are on a diet.
*) I take Glucosamine sulphate for joint cartillages

hope it helps

Michael asks…

If they had a recall on Hydroxycut then what about all the other weight loss supplements?

Don’t most Weight loss/ fat burner pills have the same ingredients? Are there any safe ones like Hydroxycut?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I wouldnt trust any of those.the safest way is diet and exercise alone..any pill that they say is “Natural” must pass through your liver..take vitamins and a well balanced diet and exercise and you wont need any diet pills…either that or take the diet pills and take a HUGE chance at liver failure.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Sandra asks…

what is the real “one easy tip to weight loss”?

im too afraid to click on any of those links, but im curious as to what they say?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Its better to eat 5 small meals than 3 big ones

Donna asks…

How can I lose weight, I’m 118 lbs and almost 5’4?

I used to weigh 113, but I weigh more now. So I want to lose 5 lbs, but don’t want to work out harshly that I’d be exhausted. I work out for 4 days a week for 20 minutes per day. Somehow, I can’t stop eating junk food. I keep eating chips and lots of chocolate, so I think this is why I gain weight. Do you have any easy weight loss tips and how to be able to resist those fatty foods?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Weight loss is an overall process. You need to think about many factors. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.

Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few additional small changes – walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.

Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can’t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate – in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don’t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.

Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.

Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.

An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Mandy asks…

why do I lose weight easily?

I’ve been trying to gain weight/muscle for the past 2 or 3 years now. I was 130 lbs when I started to work out and recently I was 160+ and 5’9″. When I work out on a regular basis with rest in between I gain about a pound or two of muscle a month. Recently because of finals I didn’t eat too much or go to the gym for about two weeks and I lost 10 pounds. No matter how much I eat and how much I work out it’s so hard to gain weight/muscle for me. It’s always been like this where I might skip a meal or two and lose 5 pounds and it takes me about 3 months to regain that weight. I know there’s probably a lot of people who would love to be in my situation. By the way I do a little bit more running than any upper body workouts. I do eat healthy foods. Tips please anyone?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I never had a problem with my weight until college. I was always the girl who could eat anything she wanted. My friends would work out and diet, but I never felt the need to diet – I was able to eat all the food I wanted, without having to worry or even think about my weight. However, in college it just got to be too much – I was drinking, eating junk food all the time and always snacking while I studied. When I went home for Thanksgiving, my parents brought up and noticed my weight gain – it was nearly 20 pounds. They were concerned for me, however it really made me upset.

My sister had gone through a similar phase when she went off to college and she recommended I try a weight loss program. The program offered a money back guarantee and with that I believed in what they were offering & not just a scam. Anyway, I made the purchase on the basis that I’d give it a try and if it wasn’t any good I’d ask for my money back.

I was desperate to lose weight quickly. I wanted to look good for my college classmates, and wanted my old friends from my hometown to remember me at my former, healthy weight. I also didn’t want my parents to make any more remarks about my weight gain. Within two weeks, I had nearly lost all the weight I wanted – and had even managed to tone up. My advice is, you don’t need to spend a fortune to reach your goal, just like i do. If you do need more information then please surf at

Lisa asks…

Will I lose weight with the removal of a dermoid cyst?

I had a large dermoid cyst and my right ovary removed 2 weeks ago. Will I lose weight now the cyst is removed? I know I will lose whatever the weight of the cyst was but will I lose weight much easily now?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I doubt it. You may just have a bit of a smaller stomach because it isnt there anymore. It really has nothing to do with your metabolism. My friend had one removed a few months ago and its just normal for her, except she doesnt feel pregnant.

Carol asks…

How can I quickly and easily tone and lose weight on my inner thighs?

I go to the beach in a week. I know there isn’t a quick fix, but I want to do whatever I can as quickly as possible.

I’m eating slim fast for breakfast and lunch. I’m eating a low calorie meal for dinner. I’m running a little over half a mile a day. I’m also doing push ups, crunches, and plies.

What else can I do?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Really hardcore pilates. My favorite one is where you lie flat on your back on the floor, then you lift one leg and hold it for a few seconds. Alternate this for both legs and do reps until you can’t do them anymore.

Also, do yoga when you go to sleep and when you first wake up. Make it part of your routine, like brushing your teeth. It won’t make you lose weight, but it will lengthen your legs and improve your posture.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

William asks…

Are their any diets that follow the food pyramid at least almost perfectly?

I am not fat. I am a skinny teenager who doesn’t want to become a fat adult. It has happened to a lot of people in my family and I don’t want to be like them. I don’t want to go on a hardcore diet I just think that maybe I am eating to much junk food because I am eating a lot. I still want to be able to get the sweets and other good foods I like so do you know any diets that might work for me.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Welll , if you dont want to change wht you eat ,
you could always use the method i use :
“breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen and dinner like a pauper”

basically it means, have a big breakfast , a fairly decent sized lunch and just enough to curb your hunger for dinner.so you can eat all your good foods during the day and you’ll have more time to burn them off.also more healthier as breakfast is meant to be the most important meal of the day and boosts your metabolism …

David asks…

Can anyone name diets that actually work?

I am exploring my dietary options. Does anyone know a way I should balance my food intake, how many calories a day i should consume, or just anything?
I’m wondering about life style changing diets, or quick diets. I just want to look healthy but right now, I am not happy. I really hate not being comfortable in my own skin, so all help is welcomed!
Thank you!

weight loss cardiff answers:

I haven’t tried my self but i’ve heard a lot about people who had! So it takes exactly 100 days and you loose about 10 kg or about 22 pounds! So you don’t have to lessen the amount you eat, you just have to control WHAT you eat:
1. Things not to eat:
*junk food of any sort
*NO fast food
*nothing with too much flour or sugar
2. Exercise!!!!- skip for thirty minutes every day and go on a jog around you neighborhood. Just get between an hour and two hours of exercise every day!
3. Don’t eat after six in the evening!!!!! Eating before you sleep is very bad.
4. Don’t go on a diet with someone you know!- if you go on a diet with someone else, it might seem smart cause you can “suffer” together, but you end up comparing yourself to them!
5. Do not weigh yourself until the hundredth day!!!- you end up slacking off if you loose you weight faster than you expected.
6. Follow the food guide for your diet!
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Paul asks…

How do people on low carb diets prevent constipation?

It amazes me to think that some people do low carb diets and don’t get constipated?
How so?

weight loss cardiff answers:

The first 2 weeks when foods are limited you still eat a high fiber diet – just these 4 foods which should be eaten daily during induction, gives you 33.5grams of dietery fiber – well over the RDA of 25g & much higher than the Standard American Diet. After 2 weeks, you are allowed almost all nonstarchy vegs (less than 25g net carbs in week 3)

21g total carbs – 13g fiber – 8g net carbs – Lettuce, Romaine- 1 head
12g total carbs – 8g fiber – 4g net carbs – Celery – 4 cups chopped
6g total carbs – 4.5g fiber – 1.5g net carbs – half an avocado
8g total carbs – 8g fiber – .5g net carbs – Flaxseed 1 ounce 4T
————————————–…
47g total carbs – 33.5g fiber – 14g net carbs

* Dietary fiber RDA (recommended daily allowance) values are based on 25 grams of dietary fiber per day. It is generally recommended that adults eat 25 – 30 grams of dietary fiber per day.
