Alli is the ONLY FDA approved over the counter weight loss drug. Everything else out there must be sold as a “dietary supplement”.
Diet, slimming, caffeine, bulking, teas, acai berry, konjac root, and all the hundreds of others out there just don’t work. And most can in fact cause harm. Over half tested last year contained ingredients that weren’t listed on the label. Or none or improper amounts of the listed ingredients. They are not regulated.
80% of weight loss is diet.
You can eat a healthy diet and lose weight.
You can eat a healthy diet and exercise and lose more weight.
You can exercise and eat a poor diet and not lose and even gain weight.
A good healthy diet high in fiber, lean meats, eggs, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, antioxidant foods, healthy beverages and low in added sugar and salt help people lose weight, lower cholesterol, increase energy, improve brain function, lower blood pressure, reduce cancer risk and have a more positive lifestyle!
You need to eat a lot more food and a lot more fiber!
Diets that exclude foods from any food group are fad diets and do not lead to permanent weight loss or solve any other health issues.
First, try to kick your fiber intake to 40 grams of both soluble and insoluble fiber.
Whatever you do, get your fiber from your food, not from a jar.
Fruits and vegetables have good fiber in them. A high fiber diet increases the metabolism.
Try a breakfast cereal with at least 20% of recommended daily allowance of fiber in it. They are usually low in sugar so there is a double benefit. Blueberries or raspberries on top add more fiber and antioxidants. But fresh or frozen, not the kind in syrup. Oatmeal with berries or a bit of fresh honey is also good.
Raw nuts are a great source of fiber, healthy fats, and antioxidants. Avocados are the best.
Lots of beans, peas, and grains are high fiber. Whole grain breads. Fiber kicks up the metabolism so you actually burn more calories. These foods will give you more gas in the beginning but if eaten daily, the bacteria in the digestive tract will elevate lowering the gas output.
This will get you on the path for a healthy daily bowel movement. This helps clean the system and aids healthy digestion.
I know it goes against everything you’ve heard but eating lots of the right foods will actually help you lose weight!
Next, take an age appropriate basic daily multivitamin. Don’t look at your multivitamin as nutrition but more as an insurance policy. Think of it as filling in the gaps in your daily diet as opposed to a primary source of nutrients.
You have to drink lots of water to be healthy. But you can disguise it. Fill your glass all the way full with ice before pouring low sugar beverages. Try iced green tea with a splash of orange juice in it for sweet. More antioxidants. Add lemon juice to water for flavor. Slice up a cucumber and float it in pitcher of water. Gives it salty fresh taste. But you must drink up to 100 oz of water daily to help your body get rid of waste and the natural toxins.
Last, you need to get 7-9 hours of quality sleep depending on your age. All recent sleep studies report a connection between poor sleep patterns and weight gain. This includes going to bed as close to the same time every night including weekends. Most of us stay up late Friday and Saturday night and it throws us off.
You must combine a healthy diet with exercise to multiply the benefit. Whether an hour a day in the weight room or just a 30 minute brisk walk every day, the added benefit of a regular exercise program really do increase and accelerate healthy weight loss.

I lost 30 pounds in 5 months by spending my money at the grocery and gym and have kept it off for over two years. Less than 3% of people that attempt weight loss lose it and keep it off for two years. It is not easy. It is a lifestyle change.

i’m thinking of taking slenda weight loss supplement (slenda, specifically) but i’m also taking diane-35. will my birth control be affected?

And if you really want to lose wight and fat then you should remember and do this:


1) if you dint have then buy scales!!! That is the first thing to do!!

2) run every 2 days for at least ~30 minutes or/and walk every day at least 5 km!

3) L-Carnitine!!!

L-Carnitine is a nutrient that helps the body turn fat into energy. It is produced by the body in the liver and kidneys and stored in the skeletal muscles, heart, brain, and sperm. allows the body to burn more fat, save more glycogen, and ultimately boost stamina and endurance. By providing more fat to the muscles, carnitine makes accessible an otherwise unavailable energy source.


5) you MUST change your diet!! Start to use products with less fat, less carbohydrates! Start count your calories! Do not eat more than ~2000 per day and if you feel that you can reduce this number then do it!

Because if you will use L-Carnitine – you will get calories from your body fat too!! So better is to eat 2kg fruits then 1 cheeseburger…
And drink more and more water!! REMEMBER – NO rice, NO pasta, NO pork, NO mayonnaise, NO sweets, NO candies, NO alcohol!!!!!
MORE fruits, vegetables!!!

6) also you should use some fat-burner! I had tried many of them but only one worked for me as fast as I wanted to! It was Lipo-6! I lost ~80 pounds in 3 months! No starvation!! Only LESS CALORIES + Lipo-6 + L-Carnitine + EVERYDAY RUN (WALK) = SUCCESS!!!

Such as the Acai berry pill thing (does that actually work by the way?) and other weight loss pills, shots, milkshakes, etc. I am 13 and I wanna loose weight so I am wondering if they will let me buy these things.

They advise that you need to be 18, but any age restriction will be printed on the container. Some stores make their own rules.

At 13 you really need a doctor and/or a dietitian’s help to lose weight.
Unless you are obese it’s better to aim at not gaining more weight because as you grow taller your BMI will level out.

You don’t need equipment. Try to do little things, when you go to eat, eat less and make a better food choice, instead of pop water, milk or some juice, instead of chips, some fruit or veggies. Just simple things. And just do an extra walk during the day or walk up and down your stairs like ten times in the morning. Try not to be depressed it will make it harder to loose weight. Also take an extra serving of veggies at dinner, eat slower and wait 5 min before you go for seconds. Also drink a glass of water before dinner that helps as well. If you can stay after school and use your school weight room for an hour every other day. Simple things like the bike, or treadmill, or do light weight lifting to strengthen muscles. I started doing these things and I used to weight 190, and in about two months I got down to 170. Thats about 10 pounds a month about 2.5 pounds a week which is a normal and safe rate to loose weight.

If you try to starve your self you will lose weight but when you eat your body will turn it into fat because it thinks its starving. 2 or 3 pounds a week is about the limit you want to loose a week.

Also if you do go to the weight room see if some of your friends want to join you to make it fun. Even tell them you are trying to loose weight and you would like it if maybe one day out of three you go in if they would just come with you and have a different friend for each days.

Also remember to work out every other day, you need a rest day or you will hurt your body

ps: one day of the week like a sat you can have as a pig out day, eat your sweets and fatty foods its actually good to do this cause it shocks your body and will in a way help you loose weight. As weird as it seems.

Also try to balance the things you eat and need. Eat small meals during to day so you can eat a big dinner. That’s the meal you need the most from. And try to start your day with protein, and mid day get your fiber and some fruit for a sweet. And some veggies.

I just want to lose weight so that my jeans fit better… they are especially tight around the back of the thighs in the jeans. I am planning on running up to 3 miles/day and eat healthy lots of fruits and veggies and protein. ANything else? What kind of weights should I be lifting? I usually do bicep curls 3 sets of 12 and triceps.

Yeah you can lose water weight. Take Diuretics for the next few days. Drink lots of water (seems contradictory, i know… But water willl flush through your system and clean you out) Do lots of cardio with layers on. Wear like 3 sweatshirts and go running. Try to sweat A LOT. Also, dont eat any carbs or things that bloat you. Eat very tiny portions of meals with lots of protein and fiber. (like boneless skinless chicken breast with a tiny bit of gravy, or a piece of salmon)
