Do you have some good weight loss tips?

I am looking for good weight loss tips – healthy ways to continue to lose weight, not fad diets, pills, etc. I have currently lost almost three pants sizes, and have (fingers crossed,) lost a lot of weight in the past three years or so…primarily in the past few months.

If you lost weight, what did you do to successfully lose the weight?

It can be easy if you put your mind to it. Start getting rid of those fattening fast foods like McDonalds, Wendys, Burgerking, etc. Don’t eat things with too much fat including sweets like donuts or cookies. Eat things with protein. Eat salads, fruits, veggies, and most importantly drink LOTS AND LOTS of water. If you are still hungry after you ate something, chew gum to help you ignore it. Hope this helps 🙂

I think a vast number of persons hate the image they see of themselves in the mirror commonly because of excess weight. If you have that extra fat around your stomach and/or obese, I’m here to tell that it’s not impossible. Losing weight is a very simple thing, but the difficult part is what most people lack and that’s motivation and determination.
It’s easy to get up at some point and just start working. However, here is the part that makes us stop – as soon as we are done working out we look in the mirror and expect to see actual results. Well folks that’s IMPOSSIBLE! Changing our body takes time like everything else that’s worth it. If we all could wake up with a 6 pack tomorrow then I don’t believe reading this right now would make any sense.
Here’s how it works, if you want to lose weight:
· Stop making up lame excuses and start working out. Too many times I’ve seen persons delay their work out program and continue eating crap because they have convince themselves that it’s okay to eat crap for they are determine that they will work out tomorrow. Funny thing though is that tomorrow never comes.

· Learn your body type and plan a workout and diet program base on you. The thing that most people don’t realize is that a weight loss strategy used by one person may not necessarily work with someone else. For e.g. The weight loss diet of a 6 feet tall man will NEVER help a 5 feet 2 inches man lose weight. Learn what works for you by reading and don’t be convince by fab diets.

How lose weight fast before the summer season starts?

So as you all know, it’s almost summer !! As of right now, I’m 5’5 and 145 pounds. I know I know I’m overweight haha so I obviously need to lose some stomach and thigh fat before the middle of June. I’m a competitive swimmer, so I excersice at least an hour and a half every day. However, practice ends in two weeks, so I won’t be getting to burn those extra calories anymore. What kind of excersises do I need to do to make my stomach and thighs slimmer? How many calories do I need to consume each day? Is 20 pounds a realistic goal for the middle of June? Weight loss tips? 1. Cut out the sugar. It’s easy to say and hard to do for most of us but if you want to start seeing results you need to start now.

2. Eat 4-7 meals a day. Believe it or not by eating more frequently, you actually increases your metabolism which helps you to lose weight faster.

3. Eat more fiber. Next time you go shopping pay attention to the food label and buy products with higher fiber content.

4. Drink a glass of water before you eat. Filling up your stomach with water will help suppress your appetite. *** Drink a minimum of 8 glasses (8 ounces)of water each day.

5. Lose the scale and start measuring.

6. Exercise at least 30-60 minutes for daily!

I just wanted to read peoples success story about the weight they lost and maybe it can also motivate some people to MOVE IT. Please tell us your height, the weight at which you were before the loss, how long it took you, and what was your regime (diet and exercise) like.

I’m a 5’11” male who is also 59 years of age. When I went to Weight Watchers last November ( November of 2006) I weighed 242lbs. I have always been active throughout my adult life which has helped. When I started Weight Watchers I wanted to set an achievable goal and decided to train to power walk a 20 mile race in Lake Tahoe, CA. Which I did. I now weigh 215 and plan to lose the other 25 I wanted to lose this year. My exercise goal is to run a half-marathon. I’m pleased with my achievements and the organization that helped me realize them. Viz. Weight Watchers. I can be pretty relentless when I set a goal, so I’m hoping for continued success this year.

Any question that anyone asks about diet pills always gets a million answers about how 100% of diet pills are scams and none of them work at all for anyone. I’m sick of that. This question isn’t for nay sayers, if you HAVE tried any kind of diet pill and had ANY weight loss success from it, please tell me your story.

What are some weight loss tips for picky eaters?

I am an extremely picky eater. I don’t like many of the foods that you would consider “diet” food. It’s hard for me to lose a good amount of weight without basically starving myself. My success stories of losing weight in the past are eating one meal a day, but that is not an option anymore. When I work out, I lose weight, but not fast enough to suit me. Does anyone have any advice? I’m probably asking for a lot, considering I’m so picky.

I am also a picky eater. What I do is eat the foods I like but in smaller portions and more frequently.
I eat small, 300 calorie portions every few hours. It helps keeps my blood sugar steady and puts my metabolism to work. I started doing this last month, and along with some full-body workouts, I’ve lost 10 lbs.

i was just wondering if anybody had any helpful weight loss tips. im trying to lose as muich weight as possible in a two week period. im 15, a figure skater, i run trackand i seem to have trouble eating healthily and sticking to good fitness routines. any tips?

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

What is the fruit diet used in hospitals to loose drastic weight?

My health teacher told us that there is a fruit diet where you eat a certain type fruit each day for a certain time and you loose drastic wait. I reeaallyy want to know all the details because i would like to try it. Also any additional FREE weight loss tips would be GREAT! thank you!!! BTW, i have lost 5 lbs in 2 days :D. DIETS DO NOT WORK.
Okay well I guess they do. But what i am saying DO NOT USE DIETS TO LOOSE WEIGHT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. Why? Diets are only a short term thing. If you want to just loose a few pounds or many pounds for an occasion, then a diet is perfect. But after the diet is finished, you gain all the weight back again! TRUST ME. Your body is not going to magically loose weight from a diet, and then magically mantain that weight if you dont keep up with that or the excersise. It is proven to be impossible.
If you want to loose a drastic amount or even a few pounds like me, you have to make a lifestyle change. That means, eating what you want in moderation. Eat your pasta, cake, whatever. BUT IN MODERATION. Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. And excersise for at least 30-45 minutes each day.
In order to loose weight, you have to burn more calories than you take in. So if you want to loose a lot of weight for a few days, or however long the diet lasts then have fun. But you are just going to gain all of the weight back again. Listen to Jullian micheals and all the other fitness and health trainers. For me personally, i trust the proffesionals and the scientifically proven facts, rather than my health teacher. But it is your choice. Good luck.

Easy 5 stars. Water fasting for acne and weight loss, any tips? Pease?

So I’m doing a water only fast because I recently moved to Sweden and I think from the altitude or not living near an ocean anymore (saltwater) my acne got very bad, and I also gained a few pounds. So any advice or tips? Will I be to weak to workout?

Im on day six of my water fast, and I will tell you right now working out while fasting will prove very difficult. Your body needs to rest so that it can use it’s energy on cleansing. I started my fast because I found out I was allergic to wheat, and had a chronic sinus infection and a HUGE skin rash do to my reaction, within three days the rash is gone and after months and months my sinuses are finally starting to clear out.

Easy to stick to? That’s where you get into trouble. To lose that much weight, you have to change your entire way of life. You can’t just do this one thing which takes five minutes, and magically become thin.

The best things to do are to be active. Get outside and stop watching TV and playing video games all day. Go for walks and find activities that you like that involve you on your feet.

Try to limit how much beer and soda you drink. That’s a ton of calories you can eliminate easily.

Drink more water, eat less fast food.

Do that, you’ll be all right.
