Easy Weight Loss Tips?

I’m not looking for a menu of healthy foods, or advice to go to gyms.

I am looking for little things I could do while watching TV, eating, or on the computer.

Things like instead of sitting I could stand or walk in place, something like that.

Get a yoga mat and a balance ball! Work on flexability, core strength etc.. Also if you just sit on a balance ball and try to balance..that works your core. It may not seem like a lot, but it’s better than just sitting on the couch!

So I just visited the doctors office. I got some bad news and in order to switch it into good news I need to lose weight. So I’m thinking 30 to (maybe)40 pounds. I’ll be going back to the doctors in 4 months(April 2010). So I’d like to lose it by then. I know it’s not an east task but I’m willing to work with it.
I’d really appreciate it if anyone had any advice other than the obvious.
Is there any certain excersise I should do? Certain foods I should eat?

Exercises – focus mainly on weightlifting, on full-body lifts – squats, pushups, pullups. They trigger your body into gaining muscle a lot better then little, couple-muscle lifts like bicep curls. Weight lift before cardio.

Certain foods – just eat as ‘clean’ as you can. Fewer sugars, dairy, processed. Think of eating as little as possible from a package.

I would try to find a program to follow – it’ll keep you from being overwhelmed, and make sure you stay healthy with your efforts. Quick easy weight loss tips?

I’ve gained about 7lbs that went straight to my mid section and belly. Am going to Miami in a week to see my friends and I really want my old figure; I’ll do anything to put the pounds off I don’t care about keeping them of just any way I can look like normal again- as long as it’s healthy. Were gonna go by car and I live in Indiana ( 17 hr) How do I make sure not to pig out. Help!!!

Yes I know the feeling. Nothing worse than watching it pile on.
Tips ? Well the best tip I know is to try and fool your body.

If you’re eating one thing for breakfast like cereal, say, then eat a boiled egg. If you eat sandwiches for lunches – then try fruit or vegetable/salad and beans. Just really vary your foods around and try and fool the body into upping your metabolism.

Of course only eat carbs up until 7pm and then cut them out. Don’t eat fatty foods and try and get in a half hour quick walk once or twice a day. I’m off for mine now !! Good luck

Can somebody give me some weight loss tips?

I’m sixteen, six foot one and play Volley Ball like nine months out of the year between School, Club and my Advanced Volley Ball gym class, but I can’t seem to get my weight under 200lbs. I know it’s not terribly bad because of my height but just knowing that I’m over weight puts a real damper on my self esteem can anyone help by giving me some weight loss tips whether they be exercise, healthy foods, or anything else you’ve used to lose weight?

Of course, physical activity helps lose weight, but do not over exert yourself. Do not skip meals either and do not try and starve yourself! There are plenty of healthy foods out there to eat. You can just stay away from fast foods, fatty foods, foods with lots of sugar and lots of salt. You can stay away from carbonated drinks. Water is really good for you. Do not try and lose a lot of weight in a short period of time, usually a rebound effect will happen and you will gain it all back. So, lose weight in a reasonable amount of time. I’m trying to drop some weight myself. I try not to eat as much, because I love to eat! It is better to eat in smaller portions more times a day than eating 3 huge meals daily. Like you can have a little breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner but in smaller portions. I like to get on my Wii Fit Plus because it records my weight and the exercises are not that intense. But you can try walking, running if you are in shape for it. Do not do more than you can handle. But while exercising make sure you drink plenty of water but NOT too much water! Just enough. You dont want to dehydrate yourself or overhydrate yourself. Plus it is a lot of online tips out there for weight loss. Hope this helps and Good Luck!

Pushups, situps, crunches, squats, run around the block. The usual. If youre a beginner and pushups are too hard you can do them against your wall, or against a couch.
You could also watch tv then during commercials do pushups or situps until your show comes back on. Make it fun. Always stretch before you work out though (Roll your neck, wrist, hips, ankle, try to touch your toes, etc.)
Eat healthy. Put down the chips and grab an apple, or put down the soda and grab a water.
Cut down on the candy, if you crave chocolate, eat an alternative, like Nutella on toast. It taste EXACTLY like melted chocolate, and it’s healthy.

I’m 5’6 and 190 lbs. Just curious if anyone knows how many points i should be eating in a day. I try to stay around the realm 1500-2000 calories a day, but i don’t get much exercise. If anyone has any weight loss tips that helped them I would love to hear it! I’ve had two babies and the weight just doesn’t wanna seem to come off. And has anyone heard of the weight loss drug Phydremine? Thanks for any suggestions!

Here is what you need to do if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Lose weight) and you will have more energry.

If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads) in one and protein (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have any or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming,running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions,pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross country skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension) (YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull,leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. So your body doesnt go into starvation mode, YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF.

If you stick with this you will have a great body. Also drink a least 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonalds, Wendys, etc because there is nothing good for you on the menus – even the salads are bad (bacon bits, cheese, dressing, etc)

Not eating after 6pm is actually not a great idea. Eating keeps your metabolism running. Just don’t eat within 2-3 hours of going to bed. Eat small meals about every 3 hours. I’ll eat grapes between breakfast and lunch. Then I eat a snack bar between lunch and dinner and maybe some popcorn or something a while after dinner.
Cut back or cut out anything that has a lot of sugar. Natural sugars are fine from fruits and stuff but sugar from candy and such has no purpose at all in your body. It doesn’t do anything but become stored fat.

Eat less, exercise more. “Yes”, I hear you saying, “we’ve heard all that”, but it really works if you stick to it. It’s going to be hard for the first few days, but it’ll get easier.
When you go shopping, remember – what you buy now you’ll have to eat afterwards. So it’s best to load up with fresh fruit and veg and foods high in fibre – like cereal.
Never skip your breakfast – it’s better to reduce your dinner portion size because you don’t burn as many calories as during the day in your sleep.
Drink more water – not necessarily 8 glasses a day, but if you feel like snacking have a drink of water instead. It will help flush out the waste out of your body, and it will help you feel more energetic.
Find an exercise that you enjoy (I love Latin American dance). Do it for at least 3 hours each week. If you decide to join the gym you should consult your doctor first.
Finally, to make your stomach flatter you ought to do some sit-ups. They are not a waste-of-time, trust me, they help.
Don’t try fad diets – they don’t work, and as a result you may be very angry and frustrated.
Try and experiment – find a lifestyle that suits you.

Ok, I am 13 years old and am about 5’4″. This is kinda sad, but, I weigh about 190 pounds. I need to lose as much weigh as I can in 4 weeks for the beginning of school. Is there anything I can do besides eating healthy foods (I do eat healty tho).

30 minutes of cardio a day at least, that is fast cycling fast walking or better swimming or running, the most weight you should lose is about 5 pounds in that time, eat lots of vedge and wholegrain, don’t starve yourself because you will start to crave bad foods, like if you see a chip shop or something like that you will feel a stronger need to have some than if you had eaten, so eat until you are not full anymore, goodluck, message me if you need more advice, i found a video for you, only listen to some of this stuff, since it’s for older people but it has some good basics for your age

4. And try to eat every two – four hours.
