What I find when trying to tone up is that the amount of calories doesn’t matter as much as what the calories are made up of. Like if you eat 1000 calories of vegetables, that’s much better for you than 1000 calories of junk food. However, if you’re eating 3000 calories a day, you’ll probably want to cut it back maybe 500 calories. Look at this website: http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/estimated-calorie-requirement. It says you need about 2500 a day, however that is if you want to maintain your weight. So try 2000-2200 a day, and you’ll be able to tell if you need more or less. Try to lift weights 4 times a week, and exercise as much as possible. You’ll probably lose your water weight pretty quickly, but then it will take awhile, because if you’re losing fat and gaining muscle, your weight might not change, but you will still look and feel better.

What is the best way of walking/running outside in the cold to lose weight?

I am obese, I need to lose 90 pounds. I’ve lost 5 pounds which seems small but it’s a big start for me. I want to really change my life. I can’t afford to go to a gym, and I tried running outside but I ran out of breath within the first few minutes. What are some good ways to lose weight by walking/running outside in the cold? also, how can i control my breathing??

Start breathing through your mouth for starters and second…running in the cold in horrible for your health! It’s bad bad your lungs. Also running in extreme heat is bad for you as well. However, people still do it.

Start out slowly, try jogging for a few minutes and then walking for a minutes and then each time you start jogging try jogging faster and do this for about 30 minutes. But every time you jog for a few minutes walk for a minute.

But make sure you breath through your mouth.

You could temporarily reduce the amount of water in your body, but that would be unhealthy and as soon as you started eating and drinking normally you would regain all of the weight you just lost.

Try fruits and vege and no meat. Drink lots of water and exercise as often as you can until you cannot continue. This is going to be long term and not for 2 weeks. No point doing for 2 weeks to show people when you can do it for like your whole life and show yourself? Be confident about yourself. If you think your are overweight, then lose it. People mocks you means there must be something wrong with my weight. Take it positively and not as a negative energy for you to change. Don’t do it to show other people, do it for your own health and lifestyle. You will feel better if you think you are. By then you don’t need people to comment about how you look. Losing weight is a long term thing, but if you’re really that determined, run (not walk) 2-3 miles. Out of nowhere, such a serious workout will make you extremely tired, but you’ll lose a ton of sweat. Remember though, when you’re trying to lose weight, it works good during the first week or two, because once your body realizes it’s losing weight, it sort of starts to preserve it, so it becomes harder and harder because then your body/brain keeps getting used to the workouts you throw at it. Hypothetically:

You manage to keep running 2-3 miles and lose about 2-3 pounds (again if it’s a really hard workout. At my school wrestlers have lost 7 pounds in practice, but they might have done like 5 or something). Then the next day you do martial arts, something your body isn’t expecting. But Martial arts though I don’t mean actually fighting, but as in moving around like a fighter, and then you drop some more pounds there. The whole point of losing fat is this: your body burns carbs before it burns fats, so you want to make sure you have as little carbs as possible before you run. So maybe after your day at school/work is done, you’ve used up carbs just doing daily activities. Most people do weightlifting before running because lifting takes away a ton of carbs and then once you do cardio, there’s nothing but fat to burn.

But yea the whole point is that you actually have to do some WORK to lose weight.

Hi, no it will not affect you trying to conceive nor will you suffer any side effects. I am a firm believer in the Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar and it does help you lose weight among other things. You should check out their book for yourself or their website. If you don’t mind me saying, I think you should get yourself into a healthy weight before you conceive because you don’t want to give yourself or your baby any health risks, if you’re very overweight. Another tip is to drink water throughout the day. This is extremely helpful for keeping your system well and for making you feel fuller, especially if you drink water before main meals. Don’t call your eating regime a ‘diet’, this can put you at a psychological disadvantage. I think you will be surprised at how the weight will come off, if you stick to your plan. You would probably lose a good bit of weight for the first couple of weeks and then expect it come off at about the rate of 2lbs per week, which is the recommended regular weight loss.
