How do you gain easily-lost weight quick for a Before weigh-in?

My work is having a big weight-loss challenge with a cash prize. I want my Before weigh-in to be as high as possible, with the weight as easily shed as possible, to help in losing the largest percent of weight. My plans include wearing clothes that are as heavy as possible, eating/drinking as much as possible the week before and especially the day of, and…well, I guess that’s it.

Any more suggestions on how to get my weight up for one day?

I would not eat as much as possible the week before because that weight will be just as hard to lose as any. I recommend drinking a LOT of water, it is pretty heavy, and if you increase your sodium intake it will make you retain the water. It *will* make you bloated – just a warning. That way right after your weigh in you can take a water pill to rid yourself of the bloating.
Then, on the day of the weigh in drink, drink, drink that water! One gallon of water weighs over 8 lbs! One gallon is 128 ounces, so if you can manage to drink 64oz prior to the weigh in that is over 4 lbs!!
(64 oz is the same as drinking close to 4 16.9oz water bottles.)

How many pound of fat can a person safely lose in one week’s time?

If there a safe limit is how many pounds a person would lose max. in a week‘s time? Or no limit in losing weight.

But it seems to me that staying healthy and getting fit requires so much effort as one can gain back the weight so easily. And it takes lots of effort for many to maintain a good night’s sleep because one can stay awake in the middle of the night, and it’s hard to fall back asleep.

i need ideas for easy dieting or weight loss plans. Like easy ways to loose weight fast. I have been bulimic in the past and anorexic at one point and i want to change my life style to a healthier eating and exercising habits. I used to be a lot thinner and just really want my pre-baby body back. Can anyone help me with tips for dieting and exercising on a low budget?

You can do crunches (like 100 regular and 50 on each side every day) or other ab things like holding your legs at 45 degrees for as long as you can, crunches with your legs straight up in the air, sit ups, crunches on a fitness ball, or lay flat on your back and lift your legs to 90 degrees and continue to lift your butt off the ground <– thats one rep and its really good for your lower stomach. If i run every day and do a bunch of crunch things (like 20 min) i see a big difference in a week. There are tons of these types of workouts out there. I would try a lot and find out which ones you like and feel they success-fuly burn the most.

im 6 6 335 and i really wanna drop to 300. i been going up and down!
before it was easy to lose like 10 pounds in 2 weeks now ill be lucky to loss one pound a week
?im not fat fat but fat buff as people tell me but sense i gain 335. i gott slower in football!
any ideas?
i run 3 miles 3/5
then the rest i lift.

It’s real simple bro.

Good calories/bad calories.
Omega 3 laden salmon, wild pacific, good. Good
Grain fed (omega 3 deficient) Cow meat fried in canola oil. Bad

AND

Nutrient density. If you eat a pile of pasta with cheese and meat, you’re not getting a wide variety of nutrients! You gotta pack on the nutrients in every bite. Go with the 80% raw, whole plant based diet with nuts, seeds, sprouts, all that stuff. Then add on some really high-nutritious foods that are cooked.

That way, your body stops being hungry because it has all the nutrients it wants, you feel good, you feel full, and your body chills out.

Hi Diamond,

I have tried every diet under the sun… Jenny craig, weight watchers, tony ferguson, other shake diets, detoxing, even obesity pills,

I honestly believe that there is no quick fix. I have now lost a total of 18kg after having kids and the quickest I have ever lost has been in the past 3 weeks where I have lost 4kg.

I have increased my water intake to 2-3 litres a day (I force myself to drink it!!) and I have stopped stressing on it (the more I stress the less I lose) and I just really monitor my portion sizes and what I eat!! And honestly THATS IT!! It’s been the best and healthiest way I have ever lost weight!!

The body is smart enough to prevent you from losing weight by going on a low calorie diet over the long term. Your metabolism will slow and I guarantee you will not lose weight this way. There have been many high quality scientific studies that show this.

I’ve tried most diets that have been published. The only diet that worked for me is one that I can continue as a new lifestyle and one that does not involve heavy investment in a program or surgery. It is considered radical by some industry medical advocates, but it is the healthiest diet according to other distinguished and less biased experts (Dean Ornish, T. Colin Campbell, Neal Barnard). I consume primarily a plant based diet (sometimes called vegan).

I lost 50 pounds and kept it off. Certain foods are verboten and are totally unnecessary for health:

+ Milk & Dairy & Whey protein
+ Meat, poultry, fish
+ Eggs (even the egg whites are excluded)
+ Junk foods (packaged foods, convenience foods, commercial juices, preservatives, refined carbohydrates, sugars, fats, MSG, aspartame, coloring, “natural flavoring”)

Our schools, even naturalpaths, have been influenced by industry. Objective scientific studies support the fact that you can eat a balanced/healthy and nutritious diet for life by going vegan. You must continue it for lifetime. Each day you should eat:

+ Leafy green vegetables (calcium) – two portions
+ Flax seed oil or ground flax seeds (Omega-3) or equivalent – one tablespoon
+ Whole grains and sprouted or cooked legumes (protein) – five portions
+ Vegetables (raw and steamed, go for variety) – five portions
+ Fruits (raw, go for variety) – two to three portions per day
+ A small handful of nuts or seeds is OK if you are not allergic to them.

If you eat legumes and whole grains each meal, you will discover that the vegetable protein reduces your appetite between meals by stabilizing your blood sugar. This helps extinguish the cravings for cheese, milk, ice cream, fat, butter, margarine, salt, aspartame, MSG, and other addictive and unnecessary ‘food-like’ products.

To start, I’d read Dr. Dean Ornish “The Spectrum.” Since you are motivated, I’d go for the most extreme diet, which is also the healthiest.

Please be careful with low calorie diets and the Atkins diets. These diet philosophies sell a lot of books, however, they have been shown to be ineffectual over the long-term from one scientific study to another scientific study.

A vegan diet is the first 50 pounds or so. After that, you will need to start a weight training program to build muscle and reduce fat.
