Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Paul asks…

I’m a teenager, I’m not overweight but I feel I need to lose weight?

I’m a 15 yr old guy, and a tennis player. I’m a 20 on the bmi calculator scale (healthy/normal area) and im a natural athlete. I’m not overweight, but I do have one problem area: my belly area. It’s not like it protudes and it’s easily seen, but I never go out in just a thin t shirt, I usually have a thin hoodie or jacket because I’m so subconscious. I feel that losing weight, especially belly fat, would not only help tremendously with tennis, but just feeling more confident when I wear t shirt and tennis clothes (which I love to buy, but somewhat hate to wear because I can’t hide). So, what’s a good way to lose weight, specifically belly fat, without leaving me completely exhausted for tennis? Thanks.

P.S. Does the belly burner work?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
An excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

Maria asks…

Abnormally losing weight at 15?

I asked a similar question before, but since I’ve asked it, things have gotten worse. I just turned 15. So about a month ago, I weighed about 122, which was still a bit underweight for my height and body type, but not awful. I could easily go for thirds at a buffet and maybe even have room for dessert. But I was really active so I burned off the cals pretty easily. I started to lose my appetite and ate less. At first, I thought it might just be some sort of phase teenagers go through. Then, I started to lose weight along with my appetite. I was down to 112. So, I tried to eat more I really did try. But now, everytime I eat, my stomach hurts and I almost feel like I am going to throw up. I have gone 2 days without eating lunch or hardly breakfast and not being hungry. I am now down to 109. I am not anorexic or bulimic. Why is this? Is it normal? Is there something wrong with me? What is there I can do? If someone could please help, that would be great. Thank you so much!!!
I exercise every morning and have karate 3 nights a week. idk if this helps at all.

weight loss cardiff answers:

That sounds really bad. There may me something wrong with your stomach. I’d have your guardian take you to the doctor as soon as possible.

Easy and quick way to lose weight!?

Please don’t respond with you don’t need to lose weight blah blah..

I weigh roughly 145 pounds, I’m around 5’9 I know my BMI is pretty average, but there’s parts of my body that needs triming down! Especially my stumoch!

I’ve tried excercising on a daily basis, doing situps (roughly 100-200 a day), it worked to an extent, it toned my abs a bit, but not flattened out my stumoch

I want an easy diet/weight loss program that doesn’t take long to take effect, any ideas are welcomed, I’m up for any form of dieting as long as it works!!
I’m 15 years of age! A regular day is as follows to me:

Breakfast: Nothing
Lunch Time: One 15p packet of crisps
Tea: An average sized family meal
Snacks: Maybe one or two snacks if I feel hungry
Supper: Nothing

Donald asks…

Is the all water diet effective? Would anyone recommend something for easy, fast weight loss?

I really want to loose weight, and I’m trying to find the most effective, fastest diet along with exercise to do so. I’ve been looking at the all water diet, which consist of drinking only water for 2/3 days, and eating one day after only drinking water those 2/3 days. Has anyone tried this and/or recommend this diet? Like is it fast and are/were there good results? If not, any other suggestions? No pills or anything like that. I’m only 13 and I don’t want my mom worrying about me and asking questions as to why I want to buy pills for that. I just need to start loosing weight.

weight loss cardiff answers:

You will lose weight for awhile…but in the process you are going to destroy your metabolism, make you lose muscle and lean mass, and feel really sleepy all day. Not worth it. Get yourself on a real diet and exercise program for the best results.

Paul asks…

Easy Weight Loss??

Basically I’m looking for someone who has recently found an easy way to lose about 20-30 pounds. I don’t exactly have a schedule that allows me to have much time to work out. Crunches before bed is about the most I can fit. And I’m not very good with dieting, mainly due to being on the go a lot. Anyone have any advice as far as either a very easy diet to follow, or some tried and true tricks?? I’m looking to lose about 25 pounds by May!!

weight loss cardiff answers:

I’d swear by this one!

Breakfast
Grapefruit or 4 oz. Unsweetened Grapefruit Juice

2 Lg. Eggs, Any style

2 Slices of Bacon, cooked medium

Lunch
Grapefruit or 4 oz. Unsweetened Grapefruit Juice

Salad, any type of dressing, any size

Meat, any type, any amount

Dinner

Grapefruit or 4 oz. Unsweetened Grapefruit Juice

Meat, any type, any amount

Vegetable, any red or green vegetable, cooked with any seasonings (or a salad)

Coffee or Tea, 1 cup

Snack
Glass of Tomato Juice or Skim Milk with sweetener

Instructions
1. At any meal, you can eat until you are full or cannot eat any more.

2. Don’t eliminate anything from the diet. Especially don’t skip the bacon or omit the salads. It is the combination of these foods that make the diet work.

3. The grapefruit is important because it acts as a catalyst that starts the burning process.

4. Cut down on all caffeine consumption, it affects the insulin balance that helps the fat burning process (1 cup daily).

5. Do not eat in between meals. If you eat the combination of foods above you will not get hungry.

6. Do not eat desserts, breads, white vegetables or sweet potatoes. You may choose to double or triple your helping of meat, salad, and vegetables. Eat until you are full.

The more you eat the proper combination of foods, the more you will loose.

7. You can loose 18 pounds in 18 days with this diet. There will be no loss for the first 4 days. You should loose 5 pounds on the 5th day. After that you should loose 1 pounds every 2 days until you are at your desired weight.

8. Drink as much water as you like.

9. All soft drinks need to be diet and caffeine free.

10. You may not have white onions, potatoes or celery.

11. You may have red onions, bell peppers, radishes, cucumbers, broccoli, spinach, lettuces, cabbage,

carrots and tomatoes.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Weight Loss Guidance/Help!?

I am 16 (turned 16 in July) and I weigh 15 stone at the moment. I attend school full-time. Get up at 7.25, get the train at 7.50, I am in school until 3.30 everyday (apart from Mondays – 2.55) I rarely have spare time due to coursework weighing me down at the moment. Can anyone help me please on how to burn fat, lose weight easily and for free?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Nothing comes for free and easily without any effort.

Donot waste your money by buying some medicines to reduce weight.

All you need is

1: Never skip meals. This is the most important thing.
2: Do Aerobic exercises atleast 3 days in a week. (like swimming ,
jogging, biking , etc)
3: Diet is one of the key factor. Please donot eat junk food like pizza
and burger. Eating less or more doesn’t matter. What you eat does
matter.Eat lots of fruits and fresh vegetables.Eat lean meat like fish
and skinless chicken.Drink low fat milk.
4: Donot be idle. Always engage in physical activity

5: Last but not least. Count your daily calorie intake. Take less
calories than you actually need. To calculate your calorie intake,

For sedentary people: Weight x 14 = estimated cal/day

For moderately active people: Weight x 17 = estimated cal/day

For active people: Weight x 20 = estimated cal/day

Stock your pantry and refrigerator with healthy foods. Get rid of the high-calorie, low-nutrition snacks like chips and candy. But don’t forget to have plenty of healthier options available as well, such as popcorn (hold the butter, try Parmesan cheese sprinkles), low-fat cheese and yogurt, fruit, instant cocoa without added sugar, sugar-free popsicles or puddings, or whatever appeals to you when you’re hungry for a snack.

Set small goals and focus on these rather than the “big picture.” Decide where you want to be in a week or in a month, rather than focusing on the total amount of weight you’d like to lose.

If you actually follow these, i bet you will reduce your weight in few
months. Wish you a good luck.

Laura asks…

Can fat free half and half keep me from losing weight?

I use less than one tablespoon of fat free half and half daily. Sometimes it’s only a teaspoon. The serving size on the carton suggests two tabelspoons (20 calories) but I’ve been using less than a tablespoon (<10 calories).

I'm trying to lose weight but I can’t for some reason. It’s usually very easy for me to shed pounds, but now that I’ve been drinking half and half (coincidentally) it’s not working. Could that be the reason, even though it’s fat free?

I’m doing everything else right. I’m eating properly like I should so you don’t have to lecture me on that. The program I’m using made me lose weight very easily, but now it’s not for some reason.
First answer: I just told you that I know how to eat right. You always spam my questions with THAT EXACT ANSWER. Go away!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Foods marked “fat free” have the healthy fats replaced with sugar or starches. Fat won’t make you fat, but sugar & starches will.

Susan asks…

Dairy-free diet to lose weight?

I stopped eating dairy about 2 weeks ago to see if it had an effect on my skin (acne). It has already started clearing my skin up, but I’m also noticing I’m less bloated and I seem to be dropping pounds more easily (I can see it in my face and jaw especially). I have done the dieting thing on and off, but even when I was very good about a reduced calorie diet/exercise plan the pounds didn’t seem to come off this quickly. Now I’m on the same reduced calorie/exercise plan except without any dairy and it seems like it is way more effective now. Has anyone else stopped eating dairy and noticed these kinds of changes?

Little Tricks To Help You Lose Weight Fast

Yeah we all know that we are supposed to cut calories, do cardio and hit the gym to get in shape, but there are lots of little tricks you shouldn’t ignore if you want to slim down quick.

Take The Stairs Taking the stairs instead of the elevator every day can help you burn some extra calories. It may not seem like a lot but it adds up. Over a period of a year, taking the stairs can burn off an extra five lbs. Of fat.

Help in finding a WEIGHT LOSS calculator?

I’m looking for a site where you can input your daily calorie intake and your exercise level and find out (let’s say) how much weight you could lose in a week.

I DON’T want a site which asks for your current weight and goal weight only to tell you how many calories you should eat to reach your goal weight.

Even when I search ‘calculating weight loss‘ I only get sites for calorie calculators. I don’t want a calorie calculator.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Try this,

myfitnesspal.com

It has all that, you create an account and put in what you’ve eaten and what exercises you have done and it will tell you how much weight you will possibly loose if you stick to that diet & exercises.

I use it and its helped me a lot!

Chris asks…

How reliable is this weight loss calculator?

Obviously there are a lot of factors involved in effective weight loss but as a rough guide does this seem ok?

http://www.losertown.org/eats/cal.php

Do you know a more reliable calculator?

-x-

weight loss cardiff answers:

Rather acurate unless you have some disease like diabetes. Here’s the basic formula (calories consumed – calories burned)divided by 3500 = lbs of fat lost or gained. There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat. The calculator takes it a step further and roughly estimates how many calories you’ll burn factoring in you height, weight and age.

The calculator doesn’t account for the weight gained from muscle as you increase activity level. Muscle weighs more than fat. However it appears to be a very good estimator.

Nancy asks…

Is there such a thing as a weight loss calculator?

I’m just wondering, if you like put in an amount of calories, your weight and height, and it tells you how long it would take you to get to a goal wight…or something like that?
