Ok so i am 17 5’1 and weight 153.2lbs. I went to th gym at least 5 times a week for a month and did not los not .1 lb!!!!!!! I hate it. Im not fat just chubby n i dnt like it kuz i used to b skinny. My bf wants me to lose weight sooo bad that just b/c he wants me to lose it i dont want to anymore b/c he brags about it all the freaking time i am tired of it. I dnt like ppl telling me wat to do… Is there an easy and fast way i can lose weight? Heelllppp!!! I do want to lose weight. Its weird b/c i want to but i dnt kuz my bf reeeeally wants me to lose it. Its like i like her shirt n i want it but i dnt want it kuz she has it… Get it? Its weird but help?

A vegetarian or vegan diet for the rest of your life might perhaps be a good option as very few vegetarians or vegans are overweight.

If you want a life changing permanent weight loss you need to follow a maintenance diet for the rest of your life after you reach your target weight with one of the many diets you can choose from.

Hey I’m a 15 year old boy and really need to lose weight. I’ve gotten too big and really need to slim down. I’ve heard of eating 6 times a day…but I cannot do this as I am in school. So what is a 3 meal a day diet plan I can follow to lose weight? Mainly looking for lunch and dinner ideas. Thanks! Easy ten points.

Currently I am 5’8″ and 176.3 pounds. And no its not muscle, I’ve lost most muscle from being unactive and looking to start walking and eventually back into running. I have a lot of fat and it’s all squishy fat, not hard fat. I also need to know how i can encourage myself to do this to! I live in the UK so if anyone has any food products that have worked for them let me know. Thanks in advance 🙂

I was in your shoes not so long ago. 2 years ago i was 18st -11lbs. Now i’m 13st – 3lbs.

I did various diets but i found that a de-tox worked for me. This was probably one of the hardest diets i’ve done. Its not one to be taken lightly coz once you start it, you can’t cheat yourself. In the first 10 days of mine, i lost just over 11lbs. Then after that i went on a normal 10 day diet which meant i was able to eat normal things but not take it too excessevly then after that 10 days i went back on the de-tox and so on so on.

But now, i’m just watching what i eat. Try not snacking during the day. If you have too, eat fruit and drink regulally as that help weight loss aswell. Stop eatimg crisps, chocolate and all sorts of fatty foods. I’m not saying cut them out all together but set your self a target weight and see if you can stick to a diet without snacking. Only have the 3 main meals. Cereal for breakfast, a light lunch such as a pot noodle, by all means have fruit or a yoghurt for a snack. Then have your tea as THE main meal. Don’t have puddings too much. Again, eat fruit. Don’t eat anything after 6.00pm because if you eat before you go to bed then that food just sits in your stomach all night not being able to be digested properly. I also found that eating a lot of bread is bad for weight, so cut bread out for a while aswell. I’ve not had a piece of bread now for nearly 15 months. Believe me, it works. Ok it was hard to start with but you soon get used to not having it. Also, excercise everyday by either walking a couple of miles, biking, going to the gym etc as this will eventually help weight loss aswell.

Remember, if you take some of my advice, whatever you do, DON’T SNACK during the day. You will get used to it. I promise you.

Weight loss for “non-fat” people?

I’ve been reading lots of tips on weight loss, and it appears that they are all targeted for obese people.Well, I’m far from obese, I’m 5’4 and weight about 130, however, I want to get back down to my pre-pregnancy weight of about 110.So is there any diet and exercise/fasting/diet pills/I don’t even care, just answer,tips for someone who doesn’t have a whole big bunch of weight to lose?Because losing weight seems way easier if you are very much overweight.
Also, please do not tell me to shut up because I’m a normal weight,blahblah, honestly.
Because if you know anything about having children,you would know that your body is basically destroyed afterwards, muscle-wise,so even though I’m average weight, all the weight I want to lose is basically all flab.So if you are going to be destructive and not pleasantly CONstructive then please shut your face =)

It’s no magic, just logic.

Eat healthy and exercise daily.

I’m in a healthy weight range too but I’m not aiming “average” body. I’m aiming toned healthy sexy body!! I want a hot body and it’s non of the other people’s business that I should be content with my average body just because they are.

I do agree with above comment about your body “not being destroyed” after child birth. I know so many who still looks toned after pregnancy. Admit that you hadn’t been exercising and start get into it! It’s never too late.

If you want flab free body, exercise an hour a day and eat healthy meals consisting loads of vegetables. Your bra should be soaked in sweat after exercise. I do that 6 days a week and for the first time in my life, I’m starting to see tones in my body 🙂

*If want to get fit and/or lose weight, here’s my Weight Loss Program through Body Building and Nutrition. It works! First, don’t Use Diet Pills. They are bad for you. Most of them are just a scam or they are addictive. Counting calories is a pain in the neck. It will drive you nuts. But, losing weight is simple. You just have to do the right things.
*(If you are older and have not exercised in many years you should see your doctor and have a stress test done to be sure your heart is ok before starting this program. Also, walking eveyday is a good lifelong practice.)
*Fad diets sometimes work but, you can be sure that at least 25% of the weight you lose will be muscle. Then when you stop the diet you will gain back all of the weight you lost but no muscle. So, you will have 25% more fat than you did before! Fad diets just aren’t worth the bother.
*Fasting or skipping meals will teach your body that famine is common in your world and your body will begin to store more fat to get you through the next period when food is not available. It’s better to eat healthy foods often to teach your body that food is plentiful and that there is no need to store calories as fat. Eat a vegetablw or frui every two hours.
*Here’s a simple trick that can help you lose weight without doing anything else. Drink a litre of water as soon as you wake up in the morning and then drink two more throughout the day. You’ll notice a difference the first month.

*Squats should be done with a wide stance and all the way to the floor. Pushups the with palms shoulder width apart and all the way to the floor, then all the way up. If you are too weak to do pushups, try them with your knees on the floor or do them with your feet on the floor and your hands an the bed.
*The idea is to tire the muscles out completely so do a set of squats until you can’t do another, then rest for a couple of minutes and do it again. Do that 3 times and you’re done for the day. The following day, don’t do squats but do pushups. Do them the same way, going down twice as slow as you come up.
*You will lose weight fast, unless you add more junk food and fat to your diet. Instead, eat at least 5 to 7 different raw vegetables and fruits every day. Cut out anything that comes in a bag, box, can, bottle or any kind of package. In other words, cut out all processed foods, soft drinks and sweets. Eat more grains and less red meat. What can I do to jumpstart my Weight loss?

Experts say a healthy weight loss is 2 pounds per week.

The misconception is that if you barely eat anything AND work out, you’ll lose weight. It’s might be true, BUT very dangerous/harmful to the body system because if you don’t have enough energy to do the work out, then you’re going to wear your body out and pretty soon, you may end up in a hospital bed. Because you don’t eat, your body will go into minimum metabolism rate, where it will burn as LITTLE fat as possible to retain fuel sources. So by eating lesser, your body will retain that you eat longer and you won’t achieve any weight loss long-term.

What I did was I went on an “eating-only-corn-flakes” diet. XD I lost the weight really quickly (~25 lbs). After a 2-3 weeks of eating only corn flakes with regular milk for breakfast/lunch/dinner (NO snacks whatsoever). (You can try it with skim, 1%, or 2% milk to lose even more weight.) I went off the diet and started eating normal, and healthy foods, with A LOT of water and tons of fruits. I’m able to keep off the weight I’ve lost for ~6 years now. At summer camp, I’ve also went on a cereal-salad-and-skim milk “diet”. For breakfast, I would only eat grain cereal with skim milk and drink another glass. For lunch and dinner each day, I had only a salad and two glasses of skim milk per meal. Camp was only 5 days, but I lost a considerable amount of weight for my father to notice my weight loss. XD

Currently, I’ve been exercising on my “air-stepper” at home, and I get on it for 15 minutes each day to get my cardio workout. I take my pulse at 5 min. Intervals for 15 minutes to see if I’m improving. ^_^ Then, I get on my Total Gym and start working on my arms and legs (pulling, pushing, etc.). To tone my abs, I do 200 crunches (I lay on my Total Gym at an incline, so it’s VERY easy and no back strain!); they are much easier than sit-ups. ^_^ Lastly, I do 100 of those “standing-up” crunches. The lay down crunches and the standing up crunches that I do gave me the flat stomach I have now. ^____^ Very happy with the results. You can do as many as your body can tolerate for ONE day and feel your stomach flatter immediately afterwards (at least for me)! It’s incredible!

If you do not have gym equipment, just jumping around and running place for 15-30 minutes will get you your cardio workout. Eat yogurt, fruits, and other health foods. Drink tons of water and your daily dosage of milk. ^_^

Maybe i dont get it..I just thought – are you suppost to exericse and burn more calories than you eat? Like if you eat 1000 calores, your suppost to burn 1000 calories in exercise?

This can be a tricky subject. You burn calories with regular activities of daily living (ADL’s).
You should however do above your normal activities for at least 20 minutes a day. Depending on your fitness level you could start with 20 minutes of walking a day and either bump that up to a longer time or a higher intensity of fitness. For example from walking to running or from a leisurely bike ride to a high intensity bike ride.
You shouldn’t really burn more calories than you eat mind you because your body needs fuel just to work.
There are activity guides out there and depending on your age they can give you an idea. None of them however are written in stone.

Okay, so if you dont have anything nice to say dont say it please! So im 13 and around 125 pounds im also like 5’4-6ish im quite tall and really want to slim down my stomach. I always feel fat, and try to lose it but i cant always get rides to the gym and help from anyone around. Im leaving to mexico in March, and i really badly want to tone down so i can look good in a bikini on the beach. I know losing weight is like healthy diets and exercises but what meals could i eat? what exercises can i do, that will help me lose in 2 months ? i am tired of all the comments and hiding my body under loser clothing. I want to tone my tummy and get rid of my love handless my arms are great and i wouldn’t mind toning my legs. My whole family is VERY skinny except me which makes me feel out of place and i get made fun of. Please help me if you know something that will work and not jus something like jennycraig which i have to pay for. Do you have meal plans and exercises i can do day to day that will help me lose arround 15-25 pounds in eight weeks. ? i have alot of energy. Thanks .(:

Well yeah i am 5’5 and i used to weight 160 and now i weigh 110. I played ps2 ddr and ate healthy.i lost weight before i knew it.Now there is zumba,mj experience,dance central ect…. You can use those games as well its not boring like lifting weights or walking on a tread mill. I played 1-3 a day or every other day and NOT on workout mode! (game mode you sweat faster and more fast paced). I ate fruits veggies meat(not red meat) stuff like that not packaged with preservatives i also ate canned fruit and veggies.DO NOT drink soda or alot of milk.stick to juice(with real sugar) and water.Do that and repeat for over a month and you’ll definitely see a difference

Hi. I’m a 16 year old girl. I weigh 145 pounds and am 5’3. I’ve always been a bit on the chubby side since about 4th grade. I don’t like my weight even though I look NOTHING like I weigh a hundred and fifty freaking pounds. Wednesday was my last day of the tenth grade. I REALLY would like to step into school this September and show that i’m finally thin. I want my last two years in high school to be awesome, and being thin would really help. I’m pretty shy in school..and almost always wear a zip up jacket to hide my chub on my belly. I want to finally be confident..happy. I really like this guy and i’d love to score him. ;D I want this summer to be MY SUMMER. complete MY GOALS. get to MY ideal weight. I need some help. I need some tricks and tips on anything and everything about losing weight. I can’t really do jumpy kinda exercises (know what I mean?) inside cause I have neighbors below me.
I also need good healthy snacks for this summer. easy stuff I can make at home. 🙂 PLEASE! any help at all is appreciated. thank you. <3

Don’t start out with a intense workout or you’ll give up. Start a HEALTHY diet ( no pills ) first, then do a light exercise and slowly work your way up. Next thing you know, you’ll be in shape by the time school year comes around.

Pro Anorexic Diet for weight loss?

BEFORE YOU ANSWER **NOTE** I do NOT want a lecture. I have googled this topic a few times and have READ the lectures and honestly, nothing you say will change my mind so save yourself some time and DO NOT respond if all you are willing to give is a lecture…Thank you for saving you & me some time.

Now for the real reason for this question:
I denied that I would get freshmen fifteen again and again….but I got the freshmen fifteen.
I’ve tried lots of things to try and shed the weight…nothing really works for me.
However, I discovered that I have an easier time just eating less.
And by less I mean, less than 1000 calories a day (usually 600-800 per day).
I currently weigh ~130 give or take, Height is 5 feet 4 inches and I am 18 years old.
I would really like to go back to my starting weight (115 pounds or less).
If I plan to eat under 1000 calories for the summer (since the bathing suit I got last year doesn’t fit anymore!) how much weight could I lose per week/month?
Also, if you have any pro-ana tips/tricks or anything like that, it would be great!

I found this on an USA today website, and have to say, if it were that easy, why isn’t everyone taking a swig of the stuff everyday? What do you all think?

The metabolic rate of the human body can be sped up simply by supplementing with essential fatty acids. Salmon oil, evening primrose oil will both do the trick. Flaxseed oil is just as good, and a lot cheaper. A tablespoon of daily cold pressed olive oil will also do. Conjugated Lineolic Acid(CLA) is another supplement that has health benefits for weight reduction.

The essential fatty acids are largely devoid in the prototypical high fat/high carb diet of North Americans. Butter/margarine or processed canola oil are not the same oils as the good oils.

This is true. The problem is that it, like everything else that’s healthy, is that it takes time. I’ve used CLA for quite a while and it does help greatly for weight loss. The problem is it took about 2 1/2 – 3 months for it really to kick in, but once it does, it really works well.
