Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Maria asks…

How do I break through a weight loss plateau?

I’m having some issues with a plateau I’ve hit. I can’t seam to break through it. My weight loss was going great but now I’m stuck. I’ve already lost about 20 lbs but the last 10 are just stubborn. Any tips?

weight loss cardiff answers:

This is a problem that many people come across when they’re trying to lose weight. Whenever you hit a weight loss plateau, this is a sign that your body has acclimated to your diet and/or exercise routine.

This is a problem that many people come across with dieting and weight loss. Whenever you start to plateau it’s a sign that your body has acclimated to your diet and exercise routine.

Essentially your body is burning calories more efficiently. In order to break through a weight loss plateau you need to change things up. An example would be try increasing your intensity levels when you workout. For your diet you could try going on a low carb diet for 2 weeks then go back to your regular diet.

Anyone who is trying to lose weight will eventually hit a weight loss plateau if they aren’t changing up the things they are doing.

I’ll leave you some ehow links below that talk about weight loss plateaus and how you can speed up your metabolism.

Hope that helps and good luck.

Sandra asks…

What would you buy on a weight loss site?

I am trying to make some extra money and my weight loss website will launch in December. I am wondering what type of things people would buy. Someone suggested a weight loss bracelet someone else said I should sell healthy foods I make at home, any other ideas?

weight loss cardiff answers:

A weight loss product from ClickBank. That would be so cool!

Sharon asks…

What weight loss supplement is the most effective?

My boyfriend is about to begin a weight loss supplement to help give him a boost and work on managing his weight. Which ones would be recommended? We are looking at Garcinia Cambogia, healthe’ trim (original formula), raspberry keytones, and coffee bean I believe it is? They are all a product of healthe’ trim. I am looking for the most safe and effective, price is not an issue! Thank you!

weight loss cardiff answers:

If he want to really manage his weight then he should exercise on daily bases.
I heard that conjugated linolenic acid, or CLA also useful for weight loss. You can try this.

William asks…

What could a 50 year old do to lose weight fast!?!?

My dads like 52 and i just want him to be healthier and of course ill help him but what can he do to lose weight insanely fast or easily…please help me i really care for my dad

weight loss cardiff answers:

The foods you eat play a direct role in your ability to lose weight at 52. For starters, you’d need to reduce the number of calories you eat every day. With a slower metabolism, you don’t need as many calories to function, so cut back by eliminating sources of empty calories like sugary teas, fruit drinks and sodas, alcohol and refined sugars and flours in cakes and cookies. Choose low-fat or nonfat dairy, whole grains and lean sources of protein like fish and chicken. And whenever you can, add a serving of vegetables or fruit to your meals. They’re low in calories and fill you up, making the perfect dietary addition.

Paul asks…

How to lose weight fast?

I m not that fat but because I am so busy school adn work I have no time for myself that much
what are some good ways to lose weight fast and easily
thank you

weight loss cardiff answers:

I know that you have probably heard the whole, “eat veggies and fruits, exercise”, but I want to give you easier advice. The average person eats around 2000 calories a day. If you maintain that, and run on the treadmill for 10 minutes a day and drink water, you will be fine. You said you aren’t that fat, but I am sure that you have 10 minutes of free time. In the afternoons, instead of drinking soda and energy drinks, try drinking green tea, not the sugary bottled kind. I really hope that I helped! 🙂

weight loss cardiff answers:

Low carb diet is the way to go. I personally know a guy, (lived with him), who lost 35 pounds in a month on a low carb diet, and he gorged himself on bacon and burgers every night. At this point however, I would like to point out that this is an extremely expensive diet, and that if you do not drink around 15 8-ounce cups of water each day, your kidneys will fail quickly and painfully, and you could die. Try eating only 10-15 carbs per day, and after the first week or two, your body will go into kenocytocis, which means major weight loss.

Hypnotism and Weight loss? does it actually work?

I’m doing a research paper on hypnosis and weight loss. I really need to get some more information on it. I want to find out if hypnosis is valid and if it is, how can it work for weight loss? If anyone has any information or success stories that would be great.
I’m also having a hard time finding resources for my paper. Does anyone know of any good ones on my topic?

weight loss cardiff answers:

This is quite useful to get a general idea about how hypnosis actually works on the brain (or theories I should say) This is a really good starting point.

Threre is some interesting research on hypnosis within cognitive psychology. You should be able to find links between research and therapy techniques.

Good luck

Nancy asks…

Can someone share an honest success story?

Please share a sincere success story of real weight loss involving plain brisk walking, including duration and frequency. I’ve read books touting claims of substantial weight loss by merely walking “x” distance, for “y” minutes, “z” times per week all while not changing one’s eating habits. It doesn’t work for me. So if you’ve had good results please share.

weight loss cardiff answers:

I had to do more than walk to lose weight (without dieting). Keep in mind that building muscle will burn more calories – something you’re NOT doing while walking. That leaves cardio – and a lot of it. Sadly, most of those claims for “walking without dieting” are bogus. You might lose 2 or 3 lbs a month (compared to 2 or 3 lbs a week on other programs).

BUT there are other things you can do that would help – little lifestyle changes. Walk (or bike) to the store when you can. Park in the back of the lot, take stairs, do more chores around the house. If nothing else, the more time you spend doing other little things, the less you’ll be around tempting foods.

Jenny asks…

Can someone tell me the best diet to be on to lose weight the fastest?

You hear everything from everyone saying their diets are the best. It’s so hard to choose. Is it better to be on a protein diet or no carb diet or counting calories?! I just want something that will show me weight loss results quick so I don’t get discouraged. Also along with your dieting advice please tell your success story if you have time. Thanks in advance.

weight loss cardiff answers:

A high protein low carb diet is a good one. I dropped weight pretty quick doing that. Any diet will take a week or two to start seeing results. Whatever you decide just stick with it. I personally like that diet because when I eat less carbs I don’t feel so full all the time.

Exercise too!

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Chris asks…

What are some tips to stick to a low-carb diet?

I have previously been on a low carb diet and lost 4 kilos in the first 2 weeks, but after i noticed that i wasn’t losing any more weight, so i ended up quitting the diet and went back to my regular diet. I’m planning on starting the atkins diet again but am worried that i won’t lose more than 4 kilos again. I was consuming 30g of carbs a day, with plenty of water. Have i done something wrong? How can i maintain my weight loss on the atkins diet?

weight loss cardiff answers:

The body loses weight very easily the first 6 weeks on Atkins program. The body readjusts for up to 2 weeks at this point, which freaks a lot of people out. They make the mistake of cutting calories (which slows metabolism) or quitting. I assumed my body had lost all it was going to lose. (I never thought I could lose weight & wasn’t even trying, I just had to quit gaining weight. I was scared of low calories so forced an extra 1000 calories a day & still lost massive amounts of weight.) So I increased my calories & carbs another 5g and a few days later “poof” I lost 10# overnight. I didn’t think that was even physically possible, but the weight lost continued albeit, much slower thereafter.

Lowering calories has the body in full conversion mode to slow metabolic process & preserve the fat stores while “releasing” lean tissues (which become extraneous). Low carb works by “releasing” excess fat stores, while low calorie works by catabolizing the body’s lean tissues & fat stores. So the body adjusts occasionally, makes sure there is plenty of food & sees there is no reason to continue holding onto excess fat stores. People think low carb is for weight loss, when in fact it is for normalizing a body & excess fat stores are not normal. Carbs force fat storage with a high carb diet & that is not normal either.

It takes the body a full 6 weeks to become fat adapted. The brain uses glucose & it takes 6 weeks for it to fully convert from being fueled by glucose to being fueled by fats. So during this (I believe, once in a lifetime) period your body is using glucose & converting excess protein to glucose. After the conversion, the body has a choice to either lower metabolic functions or release excess fat stores & your diet dictates which direction the body will go.

I lost lots of weight the first few month & then weight loss stopped. It didn’t matter what I did, the body wouldn’t release any more fat stores. Since I never planned to lose weight in the first place, I was glad to just maintain this weight loss. I continued on with low carbing for the health benefits for several years with no change in weight. I finally quit weighing altogether. I started on thyroid meds & was shocked to find that I lost 60# in the next 2 years. I didn’t even notice til someone I hadn’t seen in a year mentioned that I had lost so much weight. I didn’t think it was possible with what I thought was maintenance level carbs (& quite a few cheats).

It’s been almost 7 years now & every year I’m smaller than I was the year before & much smaller than I was 20 years ago.

Low carb is different but what it’s done to my health has been miraculous, the weight loss was just a nice bonus. It takes awhile to discover different foods but I can have (low carb versions of) pizza, ice cream & cheesecake & still lose weight. High carbs are so seriously detrimental to health, I guess with my health problems, I have a greater incentive to stay on plan.

The greatest tip I can share is to increase your carb levels 5g net carbs every week after induction til you reach a comfortable level that you have foods you enjoy & still lose weight & not worry about weight loss. It may not happen as quickly, but you create a lifeplan.

Visit the low carb forums, learn new recipes & foods. Before low carb, I hadn’t tried 90% of the vegetables at the grocery store. Vegetables, seeds & nuts are the bulk of my diet now.

I highly recommend chia seeds (getchia.com), ground flax seeds & shirataki noodles to greatly expand the diet.

How to lose weight in 3 weeks and how?

I’m 20, 150 pounds and 5′ 4” I’m usually pretty active, running 3-4 miles a day with weight 5 days a week. However, I stopped a few weeks ago to prepare for exams.

I’m not trying to lose a specific amount of weight in three weeks but how much is safe and possible to lose? What are some good workouts to start and some vegetarian foods that promote weightloss. Any other tips are welcome too! Thanks

The Einstein Diet…

Lemon water, with the lemons coming from freshly squeezed lemons, which will help detox the body of excess fat and toxins.

A variety of raw high carb/low fat fruit (do not juice or blend, because chewing properly is important for digestion due to amylase).

Must have green grapes and ambrosia apples 24/7.

Other Information…

Vegetables/legumes are 2nd best, but may be needed due to finance or type 1 diabetes, in which case, I’d suggest getting a variety of salad recipes.

Sprouted grains are 3rd best, but may be needed due to finance.

*No meat and no cheese is a must, but if a person has trouble with not eating meat: shrimp/prawns, lobster & crab are the easiest meats to digest.

*Proper sleep, fresh air 24/7, eating sufficient carbs, and cardio (at least walking) is a must.
