Weight Loss Cardiff’s Simple Guide To Healthy Eating Final Part

C Foods

The C grade food is the average grade, not poor, not good either. If most of your diet consists of C grade foods, your results for weight loss in Cardiff will be average. Breakfast cereals like Cheerios and other whole grain cereals with added white sugar are C grade foods. If you go to a health food store you can often find generic brand Cheerios, oat circles or something like that. These get a B grade because they have no refined sugar. Any cereal that’s sweetened with refined sugar automatically gets bumped down to a C. If the cereal is mostly sugar it gets a D or an E. C grade carbohydrates are those which are processed or sweetened slightly, but still made from a whole grain. C grade carbohydrates also include those that are very calorie dense, like fruit juice. Fruit juice is a fairly healthy food, but it’s also very calorie dense, which is not good when your goal is calorie control for weight loss in Cardiff. C food proteins are those which are moderate in fat and or processed or cured with flavour enhancers, sodium additives and/or preservatives.

D foods are those that are high in refined sugars or made primarily from bleached white flour. D-grade foods also include proteins that are high in total fat and or saturated fat and proteins that are highly processed and refined. Eating this type of food will not help you for weight loss in Cardiff.

A Foods

An A is the second highest grade a food can receive. To get an A grade, the food must still be 100% natural (not refined or processed in any way), and it must be fairly high in nutrient density, while low in calorific value. (The exception to this is Nuts, seeds and Olive oil, whilst their calorific values are high their health benefits taken in small quantities put them in the A grade.) Like the A* foods, A foods are also high in fiber, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, carotenoids, phytochemicals, and of course vitamins and minerals. The A grade proteins are the lean, complete proteins (those containing all the essential amino acids). The A grade fats are those high in omega 3 fatty acids and other healthy essential fatty acids. The A is a very good grade. If your diet consists of mostly A grade foods then you are well on your way to a healthier lifestyle, and weight loss in Cardiff.

B Foods

Next we have the B grade, which is classed as a good food. Not in the same class as the A* and A foods but would be considered one that could be eaten when aiming for weight loss in Cardiff and as part of a healthy diet. Some bodybuilders and athletes often drop out the B grade foods prior to competitions, opting instead for only A* and A grade foods, although these diets then become more restrictive.
Whole wheat bread is one example of a B grade food that should be eaten regularly. There are many good grade B foods that will help you on your way to weight loss in Cardiff and should form part of a balanced healthy diet. The only reason whole wheat bread doesn’t get an A is because it is processed.

The A-E Food GUIDE

Making the right Food Choices in Cardiff

As you read this in Cardiff today, old cells in your body are dying and new ones are replacing them at the rate of about 50,000 cells per second. The raw material for these new cells comes from the food you eat. The condition of your body today is the result of the sum total of all the food choices you’ve made in the past. The condition and weight of your body in the future will be the sum total of all the food choices you make today. You are what you eat! Most people take their food choices very lightly, not realizing that everything they eat has an impact on their physical condition including their weight. Even worse, some people living in Cardiff give no thought at all to what they eat every day – they choose anything without giving any consideration to the long term consequences on their health and their weight.

If all your food is Low Grade you’ll have a Low Grade Body. If your food is High Grade you’ll have a High Grade Body and you’ll be more energetic and stronger. You will be healthier leaner, more muscular and your weight will no longer be an issue. The problem is how to choose those foods in Cardiff? When you walk down a supermarket aisle or look at a restaurant menu, you’re faced with such an array of choices. Labels that state “low cholesterol,” “low fat”, “30% less fat,” “all natural,” and “100% organic” grab your attention and seem to scream, “pick me!” How do you know what’s a good choice and what’s a bad choice? Well at Weight Loss Cardiff we have put together a system to easily tell the difference between a Low and High grade food which will enable you to make an informed choice on what you decide to eat. If you work out the grades you are getting now, then you can start to improve them by slowly introducing higher grades into your diet. This will then help you lose weight as well as giving you more energy.

The system is shown in a similar way to when you were at school so an A* would be excellent and an E would be very poor. This is because food choices don’t simply fall into the categories; “pass” or “fail.” Rather, food quality can range from excellent, very good, good, fair, poor and very poor. Think of it as a scale or spectrum, the same way as temperature. When does hot become cold. Or sound, when does quiet become loud hot and cold are just two ends of a spectrum. Your food choices in Cardiff can be seen in the same way. Food quality can range from highly processed with zero nutritional value on the low end (an “E”), that will make you put on weight. To all natural with high nutritional value on the high end (an “A*”) which will help you lose weight in Cardiff.

Here’s an example: You buy apples in Cardiff to help with weight loss, an apple is an A grade food. The apple is a raw food in its natural state. Now, what about unsweetened applesauce? That’s simply pureed apples, but still, it’s not in its MOST natural state, so now it’s a “B. Turn it into apple juice and you’re down to a “C”. Then if you add sugar and make an apple drink you’re down to a “D”. Finally, if the apples eventually become an apple pie, now you’re down to an “E”.

You can take a lot of foods through this process and grade them accordingly. In Cardiff when you are looking for weight loss the task can be quite simple. Your job is to look at your own diet and find places where you could improve your food grades. If you already have all A’s the chances are that you are already in great shape and have good health. If not then start with small changes each week and over time you will find yourself looking out for those A’s and losing weight naturally.

In the next post we will give you further information on how to grade the foods you buy and the next steps in your quest for weight loss in Cardiff, so come back soon.
