Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Charles asks…

Which two temples in India have the same deity at different times?

I have heard this temple legend long ago and do not remember which temple now. It is said that Goddess deity of one temple after the pooja leaves for another temple in another state and presides over the pooja. It is also said that the latter temple has three forms of goddess worshiped at three different times of the day in the same idol and sanctum. Does any one know more about this? I only remember that these are South Indian temples. Your inputs please.

weight loss cardiff answers:

I think you are talking about the cross over temple legend connecting the Mookambika temple in Kollur, Karnataka and the Chottanikkara Temple in Tripunithara, Kerala. Mookambika temple has Goddess Saraswati as the presiding deity and Chottanikkara Temple has three Godesses worshipped at different times, Saraswati in the morning, Bhadrakali at noon and Durga in the evening. Another important deity in the upper complex is Vishnu as ‘Laxminarayanan’. The lower complex is dedicated to Bhadrakaali as ‘Keezhkaavu Bhagawathy’ and is supposed to be one of the most powerful deities in the country. A lot of mentally unstable and insane people visit the Keezhkavu Bhagawathy temple to seek blessing of Bhadrakaali. It is said that witnessing the kumkumaabhishekam of the Goddess here can remove all signs of madness and mental issues of the devotees. Temple legends are connected with the Advaitam saint Sri Sankaracharya who invited Saraswati to come to a place in Kerala as Goddess and dispel ignorance among the people. The Goddess obliged on a condition that she will follow him and meanwhile Sankara should not look back in doubt. Somewhere in between Sankara, not hearing the footsteps of the Goddess looked back and found the Devi to be present behind him. The Goddess then said that she will not come any forward and asked him to built a sanctum for her right there. That temple in between is the Kollur Mookambika temple. On the request of Sankaracharya, the Goddess agreed to come to Chottanikkara in the morning as Saraswati. So after the night pooja at Mookambika, the Goddess leaves for Chottanikara for the morning pooja. It is only after the morning pooja of Chottanikara, that the Sanctum of Mookambika Temple is opened for devotees. Interesting….isnt it?

In Dungeons and Dragons, who is the deity that desires you to kill ugly things?

I’m trying to figure out what deity to give my cleric for my evil campaign, and I want the woman that wishes the destruction of all things ugly. Does anyone remember who she is?
I would like an actual answer rather than being sent on a hunt through a wiki page. I’m tired and my eyes are missing things. Also she’s in 3.5e.

Im in the military and I know about the deity move, but I want to know if the military pays for my spouse to relocate to my location?

Only for a PCS Acompanied. If for instance, you are already stationed somewhere and you get married, than no, the military will NOT pay to move your new spouse there.

BTW, It’s DITY, not deity.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Michael asks…

What weight loss tips do you have?

My goal is to start working out tomorrow and I really only need to lose 30 pounds to be at a healthy weight. So my questions are:
1) What machines do you recomend and how long should I work out for on my first day?
2) How often should I up my work out time?
3) What foods should I avoid?
4) How long will it take roughly to lose 30 pounds?
5)I’m thinking that because I’m 23 and not really over weight it will be easy to lose 30 pounds or am I kidding myself?
5) Any other advice you have for me (a soon to be former couch potato) would be greatly accepted.

weight loss cardiff answers:

From memory, body 4 life recommends small meals, maybe 5 to 6 a day. Only good carbs, like whole wheat bread, yogurt, bake potato’s. Good protein like fat-free cottage cheese, grilled or boiled chicken, tuna in water, all natural peanut butter, turkey meat. Two or three portions of fruit and veggies a day.

The work out regimen was upper body one day, aerobic the next, lower body the next, aerobic the next for six days. One day off. It was five sets of weights in a progression format (i.e. 8lbs 10 times, 10 lbs 8 times, etc.), and interval aerobics. It is a good book. I never could stick with it to gain muscle. You can try reading dr.john berardi too. He seems like he knows what he is talking about in his newsletters and a book he co-authored.

Weight Loss Tips Anyone?

Does anyone have any amazing fast working weight loss tips that are easy…?
I want to look good for my solider coming home from Germany for the first time in a year, longest time we’ve been apart :(, in july…. I can not procrastinate any longer.

weight loss cardiff answers:

How many times do we hear from some overweight people that “they have tried everything” to lose weight but nothing works?
Yet these people have *never* tried missing a meal every so often or at least reducing their portions or giving up sugar and fattening foods,.,.
Losing weight is simplicity itself: eat less and burn more.

Sandy asks…

Can someone give me tips for weight loss?

I’m a 13 year old girl 5’4″ and 128 pounds. I want to roughly lose 15 pounds. How long will that take? I’m going to Florida for a week so I’ll be eating out a lot just so you know :/ I only drink water, no soda or anything, and my exercise daily is usually just dance and squats. Can you give me easy tips and other things I should know? Thanks

weight loss cardiff answers:

You’re normal weight – the MOST you should loose is 5 pounds – no more. I am one inch shorter than you, and weigh 119 – so you should be a little heavier than me.

Dancing uses up a lot of energy, so I think your exercise is great – and it’s a good thing you drink water instead of soda. Soda is unhealthy.

When you eat out, try to choose the healthier foods – avoid foods with lots of fat or sugar in them. DO eat meat, soup, and other high-calorie foods during the day, but in the evening, try to stick to a light salad, some yogurt, or some fruit. Also, avoid eating after 7.

Other than loosing just a few pounds, you should be fine 🙂 You get your exercise and drink healthy drinks. 🙂

Weight loss Question!easy 10 points?

My BMR is around 1400 Cals a day burned

I burn around 1200 cals a day ( from exercises)
Does this mean I burn a total of 2600 cals per day??

Also what’s the best way to lose weight WITHOUT crappy diets and insane cutbacks

weight loss cardiff answers:

More important than all that “stuff” you just mentioned is how many calories do you EAT a day? How do you know exactly how many you are burning by exercising? There’s no real accurate way to measure that (how many you are burning). Sorry but there’s no easy way to lose weight. The simple fact is that if you need to lose weight, you need to quit eating so much high fat and calorie foods and start exercising more. You can’t explain, justify, or reason it away. You have to cut back, and you have to exercise period no exceptions.

Help! Is my weight loss causing easy bruising?

I’ve lost some weight over the past 4ish months, and I’ve been exercising too.
But recently, over the last 2 weeks, I’ve noticed bruises on my legs and arms mainly, with no clear cause..
They don’t seem to hurt, just randomly appear! I’m just worried why I’m getting them.. any ideas please?

weight loss cardiff answers:

There are many possible causes of bruising including blood disorders (such as hemophilia), liver disease (such as cirrhosis), lymphomas, sepsis (infection), trauma, medications including blood thinners, medical procedures, allergies, and nutritional deficiencies (such as deficiency in vitamins C, K, B12, or folic acid).

Considering your change in diet there is a good chance this is nutritional. I’m assuming you aren’t suffering any major additional trauma as the result of vigorous exercise! I suggest you start taking a multivitamin and certainly see a doctor if things do not improve within a few weeks.
