Your body is still growing and developing so you really should not cut calories. Try cutting out extra sugar such as soda, chips, candy, etc. Since you play sports you should prob. Still eat carbs before a big game for energy. Drink lots of water, eat frequently so your metabolism is working. Add an extra workout in if you want.

Just please be healthy. If a guy truly likes you for you, he will find you beautiful just the way you are. I promise.

There are not quick and easy ways, but you have plenty of time before end of april and may, and I think you can definitely get the bikini body you want by then. You can probably lose 40-50 lbs

To lose fat you need to eat lean meats (chicken, fish, turkey, lean beef) , eggs, low gi fruits (apples, bananas, pineapple, oranges), green veggies (broccoli, celery, green lettuce, spinach), only whole wheat breads (look on the package and see if the first ingredient is whole wheat flour, if it is it should be good unless it has high fructose corn syrup like Mrs Bairds does). Jillian Michaels from biggest loser has a great quote, “before you eat your food ask yourself, does it have a momma or did it come from the ground? If not don’t eat it.” Eat 5 – 6 small meals a day, this will increase your metabolism and help you to not feel so hungry in between meals. It’s all about portion and calorie control regardless of what food you are eating, but remember cleaning up your diet and eating X amount of calories of lean good healthy foods instead of X amount of calories of candy bars (I know you are probably not eating 4 candy bars a day but its just an example) will help you lose it faster. The leaner you are eating the faster you will lose it, and you will get a toned healthy look instead of a skinny jiggly look. You also need to drink at least 8 glasses (8oz) of water a day. Sometimes hunger is mistaken for thirst so if you are hungry drink 8 oz of water and wait 30 minutes, if you are still hungry then eat a light healthy snack. Water also helps you feel fuller longer and helps flush out toxins that may prevent fat loss. Also allow your self a cheat day (but don’t go over board and eat everything in sight or like 5 cakes in that day). Allowing yourself a cheat day once a week will help cut out cravings… Think of it like a reward if you did well with your diet and exercise that week have a piece of pie… If not just stick with you healthy food. You need to do a good mix of both cardio and strength training. Toning and building muscle strength will help you lose fat quicker as you will be burning calories all day to feed your muscle tone instead of just while you doing cardio activity and it increases metabolism. Running, walking, rollerblading, swimming are good cardio work outs. You can also get some at home videos. I personally like Gilad’s Kick boxing, Cathe Friedrich, ten minute solutions videos (ten minute solutions are good because they have 5 ten minute segments and you can do one or all five or three or what ever you want to do at the time and they have a variety, like dance, pilates, yoga, etc.). Also if you get cable/satellite, find the Fittv channel and scroll through the guide and see if anything sounds interesting and do it or record it if it doesn’t fit into your schedule at the time the program comes on. Get your self some 5 pound dumbbells or a gym member ship and do bicep curls, push ups, sit ups, squats, dead lifts, lunges, tricep over head extensions, chest presses, shoulder presses, etc. You can do most of this on your own if you just go and buy some free weights, but a gym membership is helpful as well. If you do end up getting a gym membership I would consult a personal trainer (most memberships come with a free session) they can show you what to do and come up with a meal plan for you… You can find the videos I mentioned on the web at collagevideo.com, or at ross (cheap cheap at ross) or walmart or any other place that sells dvds.

Lastly, don’t get discouraged, it takes time (it didn’t didn’t get there over night, its not coming off over night)… You should be losing 2 pounds of fat a week safely, more is not typically safe. But you could gain weight especially if you are gaining muscle. So if you get on the scale and it says you’ve gain two pounds don’t freak out… Just look in the mirror and go by how your clothes look and feel on you. Hope this helps! First off, start by eating healthier. Eat mostly fruits and vegetables, with plenty of protein, fiber and carbohydrates. A good trick to not eat so much is to not pile food on your plate over one inch high, and not to finish everything on your plate. Also, stay away from foods high in sugar, salt, preservatives, and fat. This means limiting or cutting out all chips, sodas, cake, ice cream, pizza, french fries, hot dogs, or anything fried. Instead, go for a salad, something grilled, veggies, fruit, and drink lots of water.
For snacks, I recommend non-fat yogurt, fruits like grapes, oranges, and bananas, or low calorie gum. The snacks will come in handy if you start getting hungry and need a snack, to prevent possible binging later. Switch your carbohydrates to whole wheat, and switch over to lean meat, such as fish. Try to keep your food as natural as possible.
Also, don’t forget to count your calories. This will help you in keeping a careful eye on what you’re eating.
As for working out and exercising, I recommend doing a variety of all sorts of activities, like jumproping, jumping jacks, hula hooping, crunches, situps, pullups, pushups, planks, jackknives, stretching, lifting weights, yoga, pilates, squats, lungs, bicycling, swimming, running, work out CD’s, and strength training. Doing as many different activities as you can that use different muscles is important- it will help you get so much more toned, and lose more weight. Just try and fit as much exercise as you can in a day.
Another thing that wouldn’t be a bad idea is getting a personal trainer, if you can afford it. They can personalize plans just for you, to get the body type you want.
And last, but not least, believe you can lose the weight, because you can!

and try to snack on healthy foods that are rich in fiber, apples are a good source. By eating frequently (NOT TOO MUCH) and eating healthy gets your metabolism going causing you to digest faster. Eat smaller portion HEALTHY meals around 5-6 times a day. Drink LOTS of water at least 8-13 cups. Also jogging is a very effective way to tone legs. Also take time eating, smaller bits of food gets digested a lot better and decrease the amount of sugar intake. BUT doing this in one week… I would have to say thats damn impossible unless you starve yourself… WHICH CAN CAUSE SERIOUS HEALTH PROBLEMS!

I’m told, even by Drs , that if you have a lot of weight to lose, 50lbs or more, that you can safely lose 5 lbs a week, and easily too. Why is this? Just wondering, thanks

Its because the heavier you are the more calories you burn. That extra weight you are carrying makes your whole body have to work harder to carry it around. So if your are 50lbs overweight, it is expected that your body will burn more than someone that is only 10lbs overweight.

Move more, eat less. Unless you did something like the cabbage soup diet you could probably only lose about 1-2 pounds a week. Do simple things like switching to water in stead of soft drinks. I lost 5 pounds in a month just from that. I lost 15 in a month once I started playing Dance Dance Revolution. I hate exercise so I try to do something fun. Go for walks or ride a bike.
