It is good that you are planning to study this but to be honest there are a lot of dietitians that don’t.
Nancy asks…
What should i expect from my first dietitian appointment?
I am going to see a dietitian on Thursday as I am getting help for my eating disorder, i have been seeing many therapists and psychiatrists and got referred to a dietitian but i don’t know what to expect. So if anyone can help that would be great and would stop me worrying so much! Thanks
weight loss cardiff answers:
Well I don’t have an eating disorder, but I was referred to a dietitian and I’m still currently seeing her.
At the first appointment she just asked me questions about my life, what I’m eating and exercise.
She checked my measurements and weighted me, and advised me/told me the food I should be eating. After that she asked me to write down the food I’m eating, how much water I’m drinking, and how much cardio I’m doing.
Then you have follow up appointments which are usually every two weeks, and I can’t tell you what those are like cause my second visit it next week 🙂
Good luck.
