There were a great many of the Christian faith who believed and preached pacifism and non-violence. One of the founders of the Confessing Church, holding such beliefs, and who was martyred by the Nazis was Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
A student of Bonhoeffer, Bethge, has written an excellent biography on his life.
