Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Lisa asks…

weight loss and exercising? easy 10pts.?

im 17 years old, 5 feet and 4 inches and weigh 115 pounds. i recently gained some weight (used to be 108) and i wanted to know what foods are good for dieting. and does anyone have a good exercise that helps burn off fat in the stomach and thigh area? i was also wondering if 115 sounds overweight or average and is 105 a good target weight?

thanks to anyone that answers. easy 10 points

weight loss cardiff answers:

1 Dietary control and exercise. It’s true what they say – all you need to do is watch what you eat, and expend more energy than you consume. It’s really that simple. You can quit reading this list now, you now know everything you need to know and didn’t need to fork over $500 for the privilege of me telling you the secret of losing weight. You don’t need to read a 4,000 page book, you don’t have to buy a tape series, you don’t need to stay up late at night to watch infomercials to understand this basic premise. It’s 100% true.

2 Change your lifestyle. If you’re calling this a “diet,” then you’re going to gain all the weight back (and more) within a few months of losing it. Diets do not work. Diets are temporary. When you change your dietary lifestyle, however, you’re changing your habits – and you’re putting yourself on track for long-term / continued success and weight maintenance. Don’t ever tell anybody you’re on a diet – ever. I’m speaking from experience, here – a reformed low-carber. Worked out well for a while, but ultimately failed because my entire lifestyle didn’t change (permanently).

3 Join an online support group. In my case, I created my own – FatBlasters. It’s essential that you not feel alone, and reaching out to friends (new or old) is typically a smart move. I just heard about PeetTrainer, but didn’t know about it when I began down the road to weight loss. You have to know that others are out there for moral support – they know things that you couldn’t possibly know, and they’ve probably been “in your shoes” at some point in the past (or present). Share stories, laughter, tears, successes, and failures – share them. There are thousands of communities out there, so keep looking until you find the one that fits you.

4 Take before and after photos. I know it sucks to see yourself as a chunky monkey (sorry, that’s what I called myself – if only to get myself motivated to meet my weight loss goal). However, there’s no easier way to illustrate your progress. The “after” photos are far more fun to capture and share, admittedly. Find yourself on Flickr! It’s good to see yourself how others see you. Do you like how you look? In many ways, Flickr helped me lose weight.

5 Hire a substitute teacher. Don’t reach for the brands you know and love immediately – or without thinking first. Eggs are “good” for you, but consider using egg substitutes instead (in fact, many restaurants will let you order lower calorie foods). There are countless “lower” alternatives for you to try. If something different doesn’t taste good, by all means – find a better substitute, or eat less of the original. In some cases, the substitute may be worse for you than the regular version of the product. The good news is, healthier choices are silently replacing their “normal” counterparts – and they taste just as nice.

6 Start reading labels. I know it sucks, but you have to do it – and there’s no way to avoid this tip. If you don’t know what you’re putting in your mouth, you’re flying blind. Don’t assume, either – triple-check the ingredients list and serving sizes. You must rely on yourself for this; nobody else is going to be able to lose the weight or do the math for you. It’s not that complicated a task, but it will require effort. If nothing else, just pay attention to the calorie count.

7 What’s so funny about bovines? If you like cheese, you must buy the Laughing Cow brand, and keep several of the suckers in stock at all times. The individually-wrapped wedges make for excellent snacks, and are wonderful when melted over just about anything edible. I’d be careful about straight-up American cheese, though – it’s oil, but not necessarily as good for you as (say) a slice of cheddar would be. I have yet to find something as calorie-light and filling as Laughing Cow (I don’t know how they do it).

8 Tell your family. You’re not going to lose the weight alone, even if you ARE alone in losing the weight. If you’ve got a family at home, talk to them about it – initially, not incessantly. Let them know what you’re going to do, and that you want (and need) their support. If you don’t let them know, you’re running the risk of them inadvertently sabotaging your efforts. You want them to help you get to your goal(s). You want them to share in your happiness when you’ve made it past a certain mark. Who knows? Maybe some of your new habits will rub off on them and they’ll become healthier people, too?

7 Tips For Weight Loss In Cardiff Success

7 tips for weight loss success

Weight loss in Cardiff requires dedication and commitment because there are no magic tricks that can make the pounds disappear.  In order to lose weight you need a healthy diet plan, regular exercise, and a positive attitude. For your weight loss efforts in Cardiff to be successful, you must also surround yourself with people who can help and encourage you along the way. If you have a neighbour or friend who is also overweight, then team up and take this journey together. If you have coworkers who are overweight, then create teams and start a competition to see who can lose the most weight. A little competition never hurt anyone, but first here are some instructions to help you on your journey to weight loss in Cardiff.

Instructions on how to choose a plan:

  1. The first thing you need to do is establish how much weight you want to lose and a timeline for losing it. Make realistic goals such as 1-2 pounds a week for six months.  An unrealistic goal such as 30 pounds in 30 days will only leave you disappointed.
  2. Visit a doctor or a dietician and tell them about your long-term weight loss goal. They will be able to calculate how much weight you need to lose each week in order to achieve it.  They can also offer tips and advice on the healthiest ways possible to achieve your objective in the desired time.
  3. It is important that you learn to observe your body mass index, more commonly referred to as BMI. This is better than just knowing your body weight because BMI will let you know the appropriate weight for your particular height.  The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s website has a chart that you can visit and calculate your BMI.
  4. Chose an exercise program that you can stick to for the long term. There are a number of options available to suit any preference. If you like being outdoors, then you can jog in the morning or take a hike on weekends. If you like to dance, then sign up for a dance class or a belly dancing class. If you prefer something else, then do yoga or Pilates. It is important to just do something fun that will keep you motivated.
  5. If you are not going to use a specialized diet program, you can still take tips from them to help you in your efforts. Some plans restrict protein while others restrict carbohydrates and sugars and some focus on limited amounts of starches. Read as much as you can about each diet and make sure you understand the pros and cons of the choices you make.
  6. Simple changes to your daily routine can play a major role in weight loss Cardiff. Instead of taking the lift at work, take the stairs. A five-minute walk to the supermarket is healthier than driving there.  If you have to drive somewhere, park your car a few miles away from your destination and walk the rest of the journey.
  7. Budget for your weight loss in Cardiff plan, if you opt for a popular program, there might be a cost to join. However, if you plan to lose weight on your own, you will need to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables and other healthy options that might cost a little more than you usually spend on junk food. If you plan to join a gym or take a dance class, you will also need to spend money so take these things into consideration.  In the end, the extra money you spend will be worth it when you are successful in losing the extra pounds. You can also visit WWW.THERE-IS-ANOTHER-WEIGH.CO.UK for DVDs on Belly Dancing, Yoga, Pilates and much more in the way of different exercise programs.

Take care

Dave.

Ken asks…

How can I slim down in 2 weeks? Not lose weight as such, but be smaller!?

I’m in a fashion show in 2 weeks time (for charity) and I’m worried I won’t fit in the dress they’ve picked! It’s for the bridal section. It’s a wedding dress (really) with a boned corset top. It was very tight when I first tried it and unfortunately I’m one of those people whose weight fluctuates quite a lot. I could do with losing 2-3 inches+ from my stomach/waist in 2 weeks.

A friend had suggested the “juicing diet” but will this work for me? I don’t need to lose weight, just inches. I don’t want the kind of diet that will take the weight straight off my breasts as that isn’t going to help me!

Thank you!
By not wanting to lose weight but lose inches, I mean I’m looking for ways to stop bloating, water retention, etc. Not looking for a lecture on how I should have known about this weeks ago! (Which actually, I didn’t.) I found out last week and have bad hormones that make me bloat and retain water. But thanks.

And a genuine thank you to everyone else!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Still isn’t healthy, no matter how you look at it, but the best thing you can do to drop five to ten pounds or so, (two or three inches is a lot), is a mild diuretic added to your diet SHORT TERM. Leek broth, (buy leeks, cook them down, drink the broth, eat the leeks) works wonders for french women! Basically, don’t stop drinking water because this will actually make you retain more, but pulling the excess water out of your system and reducing inflammation in your body is the quick fix you’re looking for. Look into the Percone Promise. Great book and a healthier process. Good luck with that dress, and just promise that you’ll eat after!

Daniel asks…

How to lose weight in 2 weeks?

i really dont want to hear how unhealthy it is cause i already know i just would like a way to lose 15 to 20 pounds of fat in 2 weeks. Also what is the most weight you have lost in 2 weeks?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I would try this workout. At the same time you will be gaining muscule and burning fat. So its awesome.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Two 5 pounds weights.
* means one 5 pound weight in each hand.

If you don’t have two 5 pound weights try using water bottles full of water.

Workout:
Stretch
*20 Bench Press x3
20 squats x3
*20 side arm lifts x3
20 crunches x3
20 push-ups x3
*20 lunges x3
20 leg lifts x3
Walk for 30 mins
Stretch

Stretching before your workout helps you not to pull a muscule during your workout.

Stretching after your workout helps you not be AS sore afterward.

I try to do this everyday, but I’m sure you would get results doing this only 2-4 days a week. I recomend everyday.

Eat 1500 calories a day and drink 8 glasses of water daily.

You will lose weight and tone up!

I’ve lost 6 pounds and I’ve only been doing it for a week!

You can do it! I know you can!

You will be sore. And it will hurt but you can do it.

Don’t be scared to add more excercises of more reps.

Hope this works for you!
