How can i lose weight easily?

I have to drop about 10 pounds before the school year starts on August 20th to be able to play a role that i want. I’m 15 years old and about 5′ 4″. I know i need to cut out junk food and exercise more but how can i convince myself to stay away from junk food? Also just other ways to lose weight? Thanks a ton!

Well, you seem to know what you need to do, you just need to convince yourself to do it.

Junk food is just that… Junk. You only have one body, and if you want it to last you’d better start taking care of it now.

Cut out the junk. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and veg. Move more. You needn’t do a big workout, but walk more, take the stairs instead of an escalator, every little helps.

How can I lose weight easily without telling my parents?

ok, well i really need to lose weight, but my parents refuse to acknowledge this. they just think they have a perfect teenager that is beautiful in their eyes and all the stuff parents think. but they dont realize that i really do need to lose weight. they wont let me diet though. what is an effective way to lose weight so that i dont have to purchase anything or show any drastic changes in my lifestyle? just exercize and diet tips. thanks

I lost weight without telling anyone..they just one day realized how skinny i was lol
wht i did is watched what i eat* ate atleast THREE times a day healthy food* walk ALOT. I walkk all the time. Exercised at nights or in mornings before school. Like crunches. Pushups. All that other stuff without them knowing. Cross crunch is very affective:). If u need more tips u can ask me anytime. I love giving tips lmao

How does a 13 year old girl lose weight easily?

I eat healthly and everything, but I don’t lose weight. I don’t majorly excersize, but I do stretch everyday, and do at least 50 crunches a day at school. I really want to lose like 30 pounds. I just want to be a small, not a medium. =/ And I can’t lose anything. Does anyone have any ways I can excersize and eating tips??

30 lbs is alot of weight to lose without the input of a medical professional.

Firstly and **most importantly**, check with your doctor to see if you actually need to lose weight and discuss with them healthy ways to acheive that goal. I found, that even though I was busy throughout high school, I wasn’t setting that extra 30-45 minutes/day of genuine exercise. This caused me to just maintain the same weight. While doing crunches is good for toning your muscles, you still have a layer of fat on top of them…hiding all of that work.

A solid 30 minutes/ day of aerobic activity–with a warm up and a cool down–should help you out. Grab a fun cardio dvd–like a hip hop dance dvd, salsa, or bellydancing. It makes it fun and interesting.
I think it’s most fun with a group of friends. I found a 1980s barbie dance workout video from when I was little a couple months ago and me and my BFF have had the best time laughing through the ridiculous dance moves.
As the routines get easier for you, switch it up with a pilates dvd from the library or go for a few laps in the pool.

Eat Breakfast. A bowl of cereal and a fruit…that whole balanced breakfast thing you see on commercials.
You should have a well balanced diet and reach for fruits and veggies for snacks in between meals. Don’t fall into any unhealthy plans/fad diets. Don’t skip meals. Many dietitians encourage eating 5-6 small meals instead of 3 huge meals.

Be healthy, talk to your doctor, and remember to lose weight for the right reasons. Don’t lose weight for anyone other than yourself.
