How much should I walk a day on a treadmill while pregnant?
I’m 8 weeks pregnant. I purchased a treadmill today to stay fit, get healthier, and relieve stress. I sit at home everyday and don’t get excercise at all. I walked 1 mile on it today at 2.5 mph, it felt great. I’m wandering how many miles is ok to get healthier while pregnant. I’m not trying to lose weight or anything like that, I eat like pig. I just want to relieve this awful anxiety and be a healthier person! im excited with my treadmill π Thanks!

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and I usually walk on the treadmill about 20 to 30 minutes on 3.0-3.5. It just depends how I feel on that day. Congratulations!

Is it okay that I want to lose weight before getting pregnant?
My husband and I planned to start trying to conceive in January. I am currently 5β 8β and weigh 160 lbs. I am 20 lbs heavier than I was last year due to severe stress that now has been dealt with and now I am trying to lose the weight.
I want to lose 15-20 lbs before getting pregnant because I donβt want to be 180-200 lbs while pregnant. I feel that if I weigh less when I get pregnant, then I will have a more fit and healthy pregnancy.
Has anyone else lost weight before getting pregnant? My husband thinks its stupid because I will gain it all back, but I am concerned about being at an unhealthy weight while at the height of my pregnancy.
Any advice?
weight loss cardiff answers:
Its not stupid to want to lose the wieght, your husband is wrong! The weight gain in pregnancy puts a strain on the body so it makes perfect sense to lose the extra lbs before you conceive. It will of course improve your chances of conception to (healthy diet etc!).
Start taking folic acid supplement now.

Is it OK to take collagen supplements internally, while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Ive read such great things about taking collagen. I cant imagine it not being beneficial as it makes up 65 percent of the protien in our bodies. I want to take it because Im noticing fine lines around my eyes, and my hair is dry, brittle and thinning a little bit. Ive read great reviews on it helping with energy, weight loss, muscle gain, antiaging, hairgrowth, joint pain.. etc.. (not that Im trying to lose weight at the moment) Does anyone know if it is OK to take while pregnant?
weight loss cardiff answers:
Collagen supplements are not suitable for pregnant or nursing women.
