Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Daniel asks…

How do I lose weight easily?

my sister lost weight really easy, shes the same height as me but shes 4 years older than me too and I don’t like being fatter than her at the age of 12, how can I lose weight in less than 5 weeks -by the way,if I get the taste of food I have to eat more but I can’t not eat because I talk myself into eating-

weight loss cardiff answers:

Losing weight in someone so young is not straight forward and will require medical/dietetic supervision. Even in adults the average weight loss is only 9-15lbs a year, so this is a long term lifestyle issue, requiring both an appropriate diet and very regular vigorous exercise.

Nancy asks…

I hardly do any exercise and yet i don’t gain much weight… will running 4 days a week help me lose weight?

So I don’t do much exercise but I don’t gain much weight. Recently I have been binging on chocolate and not doing any exercise so I have gained a LOT of weight. Because I don’t gain weight easily does that mean if i increase my exercise I will lose weight quickly? I will be changing my diet as well to a healthier one.

weight loss cardiff answers:

You have a high metabolism. Yes, if the amount of exercise you do burns all the calories you have consumed you will lose weight. However, results will be slower if you burn the exact caloric intake or less through exercise

George asks…

How to lose weight after stopping antidepressants?

Okay I used to be 45kg and have been on AD for about nine months. I’ve gained 15kg in that time. I eat healthily (I’m vegan) and have started going to the gym again for the last two months.

Do you think now that I’m off AD I’ll be able to lose weight easily? Last night I was at the gym for an hour and a half doing cardio and weights. And plan on doing the same at least four times a week.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Unfortunately losing weight is not usually ever easy, but I think you can do it. As much as we would like to think otherwise, there really is no magic answer to weight loss. There is no well kept secret, and no mystery solution, but there are simple things you can do that will help tremendously. Eat a healthy diet of about 1500 calories a day – you do need to learn to count calories and there are tons of sites that will help you with that, as well as the labels on foods. Start keeping a record everyday of what you eat, because we all usually tend to consume more calories than we think we do. Eliminate ALL junk food, sodas, pop, sweets, fried foods, fast foods, fruit juices, and processed foods. Everyday eat fruit, veggies, a few nuts, lean meat and fish, whole grain breads and cereals, low fat dairy products. The many meal replacement products on the market can be a good tool to help you get started on a better eating plan. Use them in the first week or two if you like to replace one meal a day. Make sure you get one that has a good protein content. Special K makes a protein shake and the Glucerna shakes have higher protein content. Go for a brisk 45 minute walk twice a day if you can, everyday. Climb lots of stairs. Drink plenty of water. If at all possible start a weight lifting/strength training program at a gym and get some instruction from the gym trainer. It will work. Here are a few sites that may help.
