How did you or any of your friends loose weight? Do You know an amazing weight loss story?

Any exercise routines? Any pills? Any drinks? Any diets? Recipes? Things that work for overweight females.

Errrr. I went from 160 to 120. First step was incorporating exercise into my routine. Just exercise alone I dropped from 160 to 140, without changing diet. I actually recommend this because it gets you into the habit of exercising. Exercise = LIFT HEAVY. A few days of cardio and a few days of weight training. You won’t bulk up (went from size 14 to size 10). Moves included rows, pushups, bicycle crunches, supermans, deadlifts, squats, lunges. 3 sets of 8-12. I LOVE STEP. Low impact, can be low or high intensity. I took classes at my college gym (loved it so much I became an instructor), but you can get routines from youtube for free.

To lose the last 20 lbs (down to a size 6), eat clean. Lots of veggies, saved junk food for once a week treats, only whole grains, snack on fruit and nuts and seeds. Watched portion sizes. I couldn’t do the eat multiple times a day thing, it was easier to eat three squares. No soda (I used to not care, but now I HATE soda, only drink it when I get the vapors…yea, I get the vapors once in a while, like twice a year…I love that I get such an old, funny ailment). If I want to change up the drinking water thing, drink tea of very diluted juice. Only eat junk food you make at home (so…I learned how to bake. If you need recipes, check out food.com and read the reviews. When making donut holes, fry on LOW temp, not on french fry temp). Splurge once a week.

I’m not saying that I didn’t eat cleanly when I was exercising, but I started to pay attention to portion sizes. I pretty much ate good food, but A LOT of it. If you’re hungry, drink tea. I tend to eat only when I’m hungry now, so sometimes I’ll eat 4 times a day, other times once a day…LISTEN to your body.

I am talking like “that is the best cake I’ve ever tasted” type of recipes. Butter, cream, chocolate, etc is allowed–no diet recipes. 🙂 THANKS!

Mind-blowing, but you have to include the strawberries which, coincidentally are just hitting the stores now!

Mascarpone Cheesecake with Balsamic Strawberries

1 1/2 cups ground crumbs from purchased almond biscotti (about 6 ounces)
6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, melted

2 pounds cream cheese, room temperature
8 ounces mascarpone cheese (if not available blend 8 ounces cream cheese with 1/4 cup whipping cream and 2 1/2 tablespoon sour cream.)
1 3/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons sugar
2 large eggs

3 cups quartered hulled strawberries (about 1 1/2 12-ounce baskets)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

Tightly wrap outside of 9-inch-diameter springform pan with 2 3/4-inch-high sides with 2 layers of heavy-duty foil. Mix biscotti crumbs and butter in bowl. Press mixture evenly onto bottom (not sides) of prepared pan. Chill 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Using electric mixer, beat cream cheese, mascarpone and 1 1/4 cups sugar in large bowl until smooth. Add eggs 1 at a time; beat just until blended. Spread cheese mixture evenly over crust in pan. Place springform pan in large roasting pan. Pour enough hot water into roasting pan to come halfway up sides of springform pan. Bake until cheesecake is golden and center of cake moves only slightly when pan is shaken, about 1 hour 10 minutes.

Transfer cake to rack; cool 1 hour. Chill overnight. (Cake can be made 2 days ahead. Cover and keep chilled. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before serving.)

Mix strawberries, 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar and vinegar in large bowl. Let stand at room temperature until juices form, about 30 minutes.

Cut cake into wedges. Spoon strawberries alongside and serve.

Does anyone know of any dietsexcerise routines i could try?

I need to lose weight, but everytime we have chocalate or something i dig in. It’s not like i’m way over weight just twenty or so pounds, but i need to lose it and get in shape. if you have and diet recipes or exercise is could try please tell me!

Experts recommend that you accumulate one hour of physical activity every day to stay healthy or improve our health. Obviously this is also good if you are trying to lose weight and keeping it off.

The rule is the more intensive the activity is, the shorter the duration of exercise. As you progress into activity with moderate intensity, you can cut down to 30 minutes a day for four days per week.

There are 3 types of exercise that your body needs to keep healthy – cardiovascular, flexibility and strength. Cardiovascular activities are those ranging from moderate to vigorous exercises.
