Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Sandy asks…

While using Google AdSense on my blog, is it possible to choose what adverts will show on my advertising space?

While using Google AdSense on my blog, is it possible to choose what adverts will show on my advertising space? My blog is about healthy weight loss without the use of weight loss pills and I don’t want adverts about weight loss pills on my webpage. I really want to use Google AdSense but how do I go about choosing what adverts will show up?

weight loss cardiff answers:

This is a very good question. You have a certain amount of control in Google’s AdSense on what ads will show up on your site or blog.

The first thing you can do is blocking certain websites from your blog or site.

For doing that you must go to the “Allow and block ads” section on the top of your AdSense page and there you can stipulate which advertisers you want to block. You need to type in the URL of the advertisers’ sites.

That will not solve the entire problem for you, because now you have to look actively for these sites and that can be a tedious work to say the least, especially in such a highly competitive market as weight loss. But eventually it will work for you.

The second thing you can do is to block certain sensitive categories. Weight loss is one of these sensitive categories.

But I think you do not want to block all ads for weight loss, only those with weight loss pills in them.

But you may want to block the sensitive category “Medicines and food supplements”. That may cause some effects as some of these advertisers will be categorized within this sensitive category.

The third thing you can do is blocking some advertisers networks. If you know that some of these networks have a large clientele in the ads you want to block you can do that in this section on your AdSense page.

The fourth thing you can do of course is looking once again at your blog if you don’t use the words you want to exclude within your copywriting.

This can evoke some debate as you probably have stressed throughout your blog that you DO NOT use or advice diet pills. But this negative connotation will not be noticed by Google.

The keyword diet pills is on your blog whether you advice against it. So better is to get rid of these words on your blog.

But before you take any drastic steps. Why not try the following option?
If you are clear about advising against diet pills on your blog, maybe there is no harm in letting these AdSense ads with diet pills appear on your blog.

People will not hold it against you and besides, some of your blog visitors will be attracted to them.

Moreover, Google thinks these ads make the best conversions, otherwise they would not show them. Another point is that these ads probably bring you the most money as they will get you the highest pay outs per click (otherwise Google will not show them on your blog).

Marketing is all about giving your audience a choice. If you make a sound statement why NOT to use diet pills in weight loss and you have other solutions to offer you will attract the right customers or readers.

Those who think otherwise may click on your ads with pills. Why not? But of course , it is all up to you.

Susan asks…

What should someone whos loosing weight eat for breakfast and lunch?

Although I cannot change what i eat for dinner, I am flexible with breakfast and lunch but i think what I am currently eating is slowing the rate of my weight loss. Any ideas what I should be eating or could eat to really compliment the weight loss.

P.S. I want something quick and easy to prepare because I have minimal time to get ready for school and for lunch something that i can take around easily?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Start the research on calories and read the below blog post about calorie counting. Basics of weight loss are if you aren’t working out excessively is that you should be eating about 12 – 1500 calories a day of healthy food, lets assume 1300.

Thats two 500 calorie meals, and 3 100 calorie snacks or 3 400 calorie meals and 1 100 calorie snack throughout the day. Don’t think about only breakfast and lunch but what your eating in the day.

Ex. 3/4th of a cup of museli with skimmed milk is around 350 calories. An Avocado or chicken breast sandwich with 1 piece of bread is around 400 calories. 1 big plate of carrots is about 100 calories and so is a granola bar. Eggs are an amazing food, low in calories and very nutritious – about 80 calories per egg and 40 for the egg white only.

Laura asks…

How can I lose a lot of weight easily?

Hi I’m 13 and I have been trying to get rid of my fat I’m 158 and I am 5’3 , my Bm is around 73 and I really want to lose 20-25 pounds within a few months. Is this possible and if it is how do I without counting stupid calories, can I just workout hard eat healthy foods and drink water and lose weight?

weight loss cardiff answers:

The answer to your question is yes, you can work out hard and eat healthy foods to lose weight.

What I recommend is first figuring out how many calories you should be eating per day to lose 2 pounds per week. This is the safe amount of weight you can lose per week while dieting and exercising.

After you figure out how much you should be eating in calories then start eating healthier foods and don’t consume past the amount of calories you should be eating.

Then start exercising. If you don’t want to go to the gym there is many free resources such as http://sweatn.com that will let you work out from home for free.

Lastly, stay dedicated. Losing weight is not an easy task. It all comes down to dedication and discipline. The only one that can do it is you, so you have to believe in yourself. For some people reading a inspiration quote everyday helps them, others focusing on the long term goal of being who they want to be / looking how they want to look is enough.

Sounds like you already know the recipe, so it’s time to dedicate yourself.

Good luck!

9 WAYS TO REDUCE WEIGHT WITHOUT EATING LESS

( ! ) Don’t starve yourself.

Lowering your calorie intake will make your body reduce the rate at which it changes calories into energy. In other words, reducing calorie intake slows down your metabolism and holds onto your fat. Starving yourself will actually make it harder for you to lose weight. Food is fuel or energy and when you skip meals, you are not working on energy hat can be burned off. As a defense mechanism, your body clings to calories and slows down your weight loss.

(2) Get a breakfast boost.

Connie Dickman, a registered dietician and nutritionist advises not to skip breakfast. According to her, breakfast gives you energy so that you are not starving as the day go on. When you skip breakfast, you become so hungry that you eat more than you should or eat the wrong foods.

(3) Eat complex carbohydrates.

Practice eating complex carbohydrates rather than simple carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates are found in food such as candy, cereal, softdrinks and ice cream. They are easily absorbed by the body and they stick to the ribs, according to weight loss specialist Dr. Daisy Merey. Simple carbohydrates have a tendency to make you store more fat.

On the other hand, complex carbohydrates which are found in pastas, potatoes, beans, whole grains, vegetables and fruits contain “good” calories that are easily burned.. In switching from a meat-based diet to the one tat is starch-based, you get the same amount of food with only 25% of the calories, says John McDougall, M.D., Director of the McDougall Program at St. Helena Hospital.

Eat more fruits and vegetables, which are high in complex carbohydrates. You will eat more, but you will lose more, because the feeling of fullness will hinder you from eating high-fat foods that make you gain weight.

(4) Eat Fiber.

Kristine Clark, the Director of Sports Nutrition at Penn State University says that eating high-fiber foods can help people keep their weight under control. Because foods hat are rich in fiber help people to slow down their eating and foods that are high in fiber contain less fat and sugar.

According to Nutrition experts, one should eat 20 to 35 grams of dietary fiber a day. There are two kinds of fiber in foods. The soluble and the insoluble fibers. Soluble fibers are those that dissolve and thicken in water. Foods that contain soluble fibers include broccoli, zucchini, barley, oat bran, beans and citrus fruits.

Insoluble fibers include skins of fruits and vegetables and the external coatings of wheat kernel.

Fiber is an essential ingredient in one’s diet because the insoluble form prevents constipation. Studies revealed that the soluble fibers play an important role in reducing cholesterol.

(5) Drink water.

Water helps the body break down fat and process waste according to Dr. Denise Bruner, a Virginia bariatrician, describing how water as part of her diet, helped her to shed 62 pounds. One should drink eight eight-ounce glasses of water a day.

(6) Exercise and be active in household work.

T o exercise is one of the best ways to maintain your weight down. Exercise helps you to burn calories. According to Franca Alphin, Nutrition Director at Duke University Diet and Fitness Center in North Carolina, “You can lose weight without exercising, but you won’t maintain the weight loss.” Exercise may not be a major player in weight loss, but it is the number one player in preventing weight gain,” says Jack H. Gilmore, Ph. D.

Inactivity burns fewer calories each day, which are stored as fat. Daniel Kosich, Ph. D., the author of Get Real: A Personal Guide to Real-Life Weight Management and an advisor to Jane Fonda Workouts, says regular activity is a critical part of successful weight loss. It doesn’t have to be a strenuous workout. You can burn calories just by doing ordinary chores such as gardening and housework. “Pushing a mop or vacuum across the floor increases your heart rate and creates resistance ,” says Barbara Baldwin, Information Services Director for the American Running and Fitness Association in Maryland.

“Raking leaves, stroveling snow, sanding, painting and waxing the car are calorie burners.”

According to Laura Gladwin, California-based exercise physiologist, gardening is a great exercise because weeding, pruning and planting require bending and stretching. “You will burn 1,000 calories by doing three-and-a-half hours of garden or yard work in a week,” she says.

Ellen F., a crafter in Coral Springs, Fl, found out that dieting wasn’t enough to help her shed 20 pounds of excess weight.. She joined a low-impact aerobics class at her community center. By doing aerobics excercises for an hour, three times a week, she lost 20 pounds much quicker than simply dieting.

Walking is one of the healthiest, easiest and cheapest form of exercise. Stroll briskly through a park or around your neighborhood. Walking will be more pleasurable if you do it with a friend..

Suzanne Rossa, an exercise physiologist at Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center in West Palm Beach Florida says, “Aerobics excercises improves your circulation , increases blood flow, allow you to have a better blood pressure and decreases the amount of fatty substances in your bloodstream.”

(7) Build muscle.

Tufts University studies revealed that strength training – the kind that builds muscle will raise your metabolic rate, which enable you to burn calories. Strength training does not always follow that your muscles will grow bigger but they will certainly grow stronger.

Daniel Kosich in his book, A Personal Guide to Real Life Weight Management says, “when you make muscles stronger, they burn more calories. That means that for each pound of muscle you build with strength excercises, you burn 20 to 30 calories a day from your resting energy output or about 7,300 calories a year. You can strength train by using machines and free weights such as barbells.

(8) Follow the Pyramid.

The American Diatetic Association recommends a food guide pyramid that serves as a general list of healthful foods that must be eaten daily. The pyramid has four levels. The top of the pyramid is the smallest part , represents fats, oils and sweets. This group includes salad dressings, butter, ice cream, softdrinks, candies and desserts and foods that has very little nutritional value and can make your calories add up to.

At level two of the pyramid are the milk, yogurt, cheese group, meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs and nuts. These foods provide you with protein, calcium, iron and zinc.. ADA recommends two to three servings daily of this group.

The third level represents the vegetable and fruit groups, which are good sources of vitamins, minerals and fiber. ADA recommends three to five servings daily of this group.

At the base of the pyramid are the bread, cereal, rice and pasta. ADA recommends 6 to 11 servings of this group. These foods are source of fiber, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals

(9) Stop taking the following food.

ALCOHOL : a 12-ounce can or bottle of beer contains 150 calories. An

Alcoholic beverage can add 100 to 200 calories to your meal.

Alcohol is stored in the liver as fat.

COCONUT : An ounce of raw coconut contains 100 calories, around 77%

Of which is saturated fat.

CHOCOLATE, CANDY, COOKIES :

They are full of simple carbohydrates, which means they are

High in sugar and fats. The main fat in chocolate is cocoa

butter which is approximately 60% saturated fat.

WHOLE MILK : SWITCH TO SKIM MILK

Whole milk has high content of fat.

SUGAR : Softdrinks has very high sugar content.

MARGARINES : Contain hydrogenated vegetable oils.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Charles asks…

How can I lose weight before summer?

I’ve gained weight over the winter and I want to be skinny by my high school graduation.

weight loss cardiff answers:

I’m sure you’ve heard about this amazing fruit called the acai berry with “mystical” weight loss qualities that help you lose weight fast, the natural way.

However, combined with proper diet and exercise, the acai berry can be an excellent weight loss aid. Its natural combination of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, amino acids, phytosterols, and amino acids work together to help your body function better, process food easier, and burn fat more efficiently. Let’s break down how the acai berry helps people reach their perfect weight…

The acai berry contains Omega fatty acids – the same medically recommended fats found in fish oil, olive oil and flaxseed. These fatty acids can’t be produced by the body, and must be obtained from the food we eat. Instead of being stored as fat, they are used by the liver to “kick-start” the metabolism. If you’re a slow starter when it comes to losing weight, or if you’ve reached the frustrating “plateau” phase of weight loss, adding some form of acai to your diet might be just the ticket to get over the hump.

The acai berry contains a generous amount of fiber which promotes a healthy digestive system and helps cleanse your system of fatty foods.

As mentioned above, the acai berry has a generous amount of fiber. High fiber foods like acai help you to feel fuller faster and cut down on nagging cravings, needless snacking, and late night trips to the refrigerator.

Final Word on Acai Berry & Weight Loss

Although it’s not the miracle weight loss solution that some claim, the acai berry has been medically and scientifically proven to contain ingredients that aid in weight loss. Not only does it provide a valuable boost to the metabolism, it also suppresses appetite, helps build muscle, and gives a much-needed shot of energy and stamina for those fat blasting workouts.

John asks…

How much can I loose if I l have 600 calories a day weight 225 pounds and 5’5 tall.?

I exercise 7 days a week. 45-60 minutes doing aerobics. I am also on the Master Cleanse which is why it is about 600 calories.

P.S: I just need a straightforward answer to my straightforward question! Thank youuuuu

weight loss cardiff answers:

You will be losing mainly lean tissue including tissue in vital organs (like the heart). The body won’t release fat stores if you lower calories below what it needs. It will slow metabolism to compensate & store every spare ounce as fat. If you continue lowering calories, it will continue lowering the set point, til it can survive off nothing & store fat on anything. The body will only release it’s fat stores if it knows there is plenty of nutritious food.

You can lose more body fat eating protein & fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast, eat all you want, but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter & half an avocado a day (for added potassium). Keep the calories high & the fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.

The first 2 weeks eat several cups a day of (mostly) lettuce & celery, cucumbers, radishes, mushrooms, peppers & more variety of vegetables thereafter – add 5 grams per day additional every week (20 grams day first 2 weeks, 25grams 3rd week, 30grams 4th week etc) til you gain weight, then subtract 10grams. That will be your personal carb level (everyone is different & depends on how active you are.)

Start with meat, fats & salads for 2 weeks and then slowly add in more green veg, wk4 fresh cheeses, wk5 nuts & seeds, wk6 berries, wk7 legumes, wk8 other fruits, wk9 starchy veg, wk10 whole grains. You will learn how your body reacts to different foods.

The first week is just water weight but fat is lost thereafter if you keep your calories high enough. Otherwise the body will strip it’s own lean tissue for nutrition. Although that may look great on a scale it will make it MUCH easier to accumulate fat in the future (since all that pesky lean tissue burning up calories will be gone).

Eating carbs while trying to lose body fat is terribly inefficient. When in glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) you have to lower your calories (which slows your metabolism) & exercise heavily to deplete your glycogen stores before burning body fat.

The core of Atkins program is converting the body from glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) to ketosis (burning fat as fuel). Dietary fat levels need to be at >65% of total calories, if not, the body will still remain in glycolysis by converting 58% of excess protein into glucose (via gluconeogenesis).

It takes minimum of 3 days to convert a body to ketosis, (but only one bite to convert back to glycolysis). People feel sluggish the first week but most feel better than ever thereafter.

Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) trigger insulin which can store the calories eaten into fat. The more protein the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.

Simple carbs are addictive & can be disastrous to health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs, eat one every time you want “something” – have huge omelets with bacon, sausage, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Pork chops smothered with peppers, mushrooms & cheese – pork rinds & dip or tuna/chicken/turkey/egg salad – steaks – a huge sugar free cheese cake. Eat so much you won’t feel deprived of anything. By the 4th day, the addiction will be gone & you can start making healthy choices.

High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger & unbalance other hormones. Controlling insulin levels will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so lean muscle will be gained even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase muscle mass with high HGH levels.

Ground flax seed (2 Tbsp) 1/4 cup water, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg – let sit 10 min. To absorb liquid, put some cream cheese in the middle & nuke 2 minutes. Suggested for daily fiber needs.

As long as you have <9grams carbs per hour, you will maintain insulin control & shouldn't gain weight, no matter the calories. Many people gain weight on high carb, do low carb to lose weight & then are shocked when they return to high carb & gain weight. Many people can return to moderate carb levels but very few can really eat all they want of sugar & maintain weight or health.

Dr.Atkins was a cardiologist, low carb was a health plan easier sold as a "diet" Read any of his books for easily understandable science. Normalizing blood pressure, blood sugar, insulin, cholesterol, triglyercerides & hormone levels are all bonus features of doing a low carb way of eating. Lutz "Life without Bread" & Taubes "Good calories, Bad calories" are excellent books that dispel all the nutrition myths.

Ruth asks…

Are fruit fasts effective and do they work?

I’m wanting to go on a fruit fast which means eating nothing but fruit for two days to detoxify my body, will this work? Or will I gain weight? I’ve heard nothing but good things about it but I’m afraid it will be too much sugar i will be consuming low glycemic fruits such as berries, apples, peaches, nectarines and bananas

weight loss cardiff answers:

A fruit fast may be the closest thing to a perfect diet that has ever been created. In fruit fasting, you only eat and drink fresh fruits and fresh fruit juice. As the human body was created to be fed fruits and vegetables, it makes since this type of diet would still be a good weight loss option.

One of the great things about a fruit fast is that your body continues to get all the nutrition it needs to keep running. Fruits are broken down into a sugar called glucose. This sugar is the main fuel for the brain. With lots of glucose present, your brain will continue to work at its best and you won’t suffer any lack of concentration during your diet.

Fruits are also a good source of vitamins so your immune system will stay well fed also. The vitamins and antioxidants in fruits will also help your body to heal and to cleanse itself of toxins.

Fruits are also a good diet food because you can eat a lot of fruit without consuming a great deal of calories. This allows you to snack on fruits throughout the day and not feel hungry.

Fruits are also an easy food for the body to digest. They don’t clog up the digestive system like meats do. In fact, fruits are actually digested in the intestines, not the stomach.

If you want to lose weight, but still eat a healthy diet a fruit fast may be the perfect choice for you.

Mary asks…

social studies homework. HELP PLEASE!!!!?

what was the diet of worms all i know is it had 2 do with Martin Luther

weight loss cardiff answers:

The Diet of Worms (German: Reichstag zu Worms) was a general assembly of the estates of the Holy Roman Emperor that took place in Worms, a small town on the Rhine river located in what is now Germany. It was conducted from January 28 to May 25, 1521, with Emperor Charles V presiding. Although other issues were dealt with at the Diet of Worms, it is most memorable for the Edict of Worms (Wormser Edikt), which addressed Martin Luther and the effects of the Protestant Reformation.

The previous year, Pope Leo X had issued the Papal bull Exsurge Domine, outlining forty-one purported errors found in Martin Luther’s 95 theses and other writings related to or written by him. Luther was summoned by the emperor. Prince Frederick III, Elector of Saxony, obtained an agreement that if Luther appeared, he would be promised safe passage to and from the meeting. Such a guarantee was essential after the treatment of Jan Hus, who was tried and executed at the Council of Constance in 1415 despite a safe conduct pass.

Emperor Charles V commenced the imperial Diet of Worms on January 28, 1521. Luther was summoned to renounce or reaffirm his views. When he appeared before the assembly on April 16, Johann Eck, an assistant of the Archbishop of Trier (Richard Greiffenklau zu Vollraths at that time), acted as spokesman for the emperor.

Luther prayed for long hours, consulted with friends and mediators, and presented himself before the Diet the next day. When the counselor put the same questions to Luther, he said: “They are all mine, but as for the second question, they are not all of one sort.” Luther went on to place the writings into three categories:

Works which were well received by even his enemies: those he would not reject. These affected the Protestant Reformation.
Books which attacked the abuses, lies and desolation of the Christian world: those, Luther believed, could not safely be rejected without encouraging abuses to continue.
Attacks on individuals: those he apologized for the harsh tone of these writings but did not reject the substance of what he taught in them; if he could be shown from the Scriptures that he was in error, Luther continued, he would reject them.
According to tradition, Luther is said to have spoken these words: “Hier stehe ich. Ich kann nicht anders. Gott helfe mir. Amen.” (“Here I stand; I can do no other. God help me.”)[1] Most scholars now question whether these famous words were actually spoken, however, since only the last four appear in contemporary accounts. Indeed, the full sentence appears in an account by Philip Melanchthon, one of Luther’s most ardent sympathisers, but only the last four words are recorded in a similar first hand account by Johannes Cochlaeus.

Private conferences were held to determine Luther’s fate. Before a decision was reached, Luther departed. During his return to Wittenberg, he disappeared.

The Edict of Worms was a decree issued on May 25, 1521 by Emperor Charles V, declaring Martin Luther an outlaw and a heretic who should be “apprehended and punished.” It banned his literature and declared that any of his writings should be burnt. It also made it a crime for anyone to “receive, defend, sustain, or favor the said Martin Luther.”[2]

The Papal nuncio at the diet, Girolamo Aleandro, drew up and proposed the fierce denunciations of Luther that were embodied in the Edict of Worms, promulgated on May 25. These declared Luther to be an outlaw and banned the reading or possession of his writings. The edict was a divisive move that distressed more moderate men, in particular Desiderius Erasmus.

Despite the agreement that he could return home safely, it was privately understood that Luther would soon be arrested and punished. To protect him from this fate, Prince Frederick seized him on his way home and hid him in Wartburg Castle. It was during his time in Wartburg that Luther began his German translation of the Bible. The edict was temporarily suspended at the Diet of Speyer in 1526 but then reinstated in 1529.

When Luther eventually reemerged from the Wartburg, the emperor, distracted with other matters, did not press for Luther’s arrest. Ultimately, because of rising public support for Luther among the German people and the protection of certain German princes, the Edict of Worms was never enforced in Germany. However, in the Low Countries (comprising modern-day Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands), the Edict was initially enforced among Luther’s most active supporters there. In December, 1521, Jacob Probst, prior of the Augustinian monastery in Antwerp, was the first Luther-supporter to be prosecuted under the terms of the Worms Edict. In February, 1522, Probst was compelled to make public recantation and repudiation of Luther’s teachings. Later that year, additional arrests were made among the Augustinians in Antwerp. Two monks–Johannes van Esschen and Hendrik Voes–refused to recant. On July 1, 1523, van Esschen and Voes

Susan asks…

religious: what you does think of the Diet of Worms?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I assume you are referring to the Diet (Official Church Council) held in Worms Germany in 1521. It was a response to Martin Luther and the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. The Council found 41 “errors” in the 95 Thesis and other writings by Luther, and issued an Edict prohibiting his writings and teachings from being spread further. Because of the popularity of Luther among the German people, and the support of Prince Fredrick, the Edict was not enforced in German.
