i have already lost a little weight but need to lose a couple of pounds more. does anyone know of any liquid diet recipes? like broth, the lemon juice and red pepper ( need recipe for this). please do not answer with slimfast, nutrisystem, ect. i dont want to buy anything online just want something i can do at home and is fairly easy. please help.

Am i going to have the right results with the cabbage diet recipe,without using the lipton soup mix?

i want to start the cabbage soup diet,but i cannot find the lipton soup mix here in uk where i live,so i am thinking to skip it!

The Lipton soup mix is not critical to the cabbage soup diet. It just provides some flavoring. Leaving it out won’t change the results unless you add slabs of cheese and a ton of noodles to make up for the missing soup mix.

Initially, you are going to experience excess gas, but after about three days, this should start to subside. If it doesn’t, you can always add Beano to your first spoonful whenever you have the soup to take care of the unpleasant side effects.

Does Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar really work to lose weight and does it affect me when trying to concieve?

I’m overweight but we are trying to get pregnant. While trying I want to watch what I eat and exercise to try to lose some weight. Some coworkers are drinking Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar to lose weight and they say it helps. What I need to know if anyone has taken it to lose weight and if it really works? And if it will affect me in trying to get pregnant? Does it have any bad side affects? Any information on this will be of great help?

The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did….lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won’t help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don’t eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i’m going pretty well if i don’t say myself. 90 LBS isn’t anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. Im 29 years old and pregnant with twins. Im 5 ft tall and i weigh 250 pounds. Im about 3 weeks along. Is there anything i can do to ensure my babies are healthy? Could i lose weight while pregnant?

First off… YAYYYYY!!! Congrats!!

Second: you should always consult your doctor before adding exercise to your pregnancy
Maybe start walking everyday and eat lots and lots of good stuff!!! Like veggies and fruit to make sure those babies get every drop of nutrition!

Is it normal to lose weight while being pregnant?

I’m in my third trimester (35 weeks and 4 days) and the nurse said that I lost half of pound already. I just want to know why am I losing weight since I’m still pregnant and got 4 weeks left to go. I just want to know what caused me to lose the weight?

I’m 16, 5’8 and 200 pounds this summer i really want to lose 50 pounds my plan is:

Breakfast: Oatmeal and 2 Egg whites
Lunch: Salad, involving baby carrots, Grapes, Berries, depending on the day
Dinner: Whatever my mom cooks but portioned out.

Drinks: Water only.

Workout:
Jogging once a day 6 days a week, 2 miles.

You might be consuming more calories than you burn. Consume fewer (but do not starve yourself) and you will lose weight.

With sensible eating and exercise, you can a large amount of weight over time. Also, the body will allow about two pounds of weight loss (not water weight) per week. Luckily for you, that will be about 32 lbs. Lost in four months. If this seems fast to you, then be happy, it can be done.

Think of it this way: “x” is the amount of calories you consume, “y” is what you burn. Only if x is less than y will you lose weight. It’s simple math.

There is a correct way and a wrong way to lose weight. When you consume too few calories per day, your body thinks that it’s facing a famine and it slows the metabolism, so that weight loss is more difficult. This ability has helped man survive for as long as we did. Although food is plentiful today, that feature has not changed.

Therefore, the right way to lose weight is to cut a few hundred calories per day and exercise. Doing one without the other leads to slow progress. Consume whole grains (100% whole wheat bread; plain “wheat” bread is not the real thing) and more fruits and vegetables. Exercise need not be intense; twenty minutes of brisk walking a day, three times a week will suffice. Keep to this plan and the weight will come off slowly but surely. Cutting 500 calories per day and exercising would lead to losing at least one pound per week. In addition, exercise helps speeds up the metabolism, eventually leading to quicker weight loss. But it won’t happen overnight.

Although you may want to diet, but a lot of diets require you to restrict yourself to certain foods or keep a very low calorie intake, which is why many diets fail. You could eventually lose weight by starving yourself, but not without hunger pangs, fatigue and possible blackouts. You may not want to wait, but in the long run, losing weight the correct way is actually faster than starving yourself.

Furthermore, other weight loss plans require that you spend money on expensive meal plans or pills, etc. In conjunction with exercising on your own. While the exercise is free either way, why spend you money on unnecessary things? You can simply do a brisk 20 minute walk through the neighborhood (at least three days a week) and eat healthier for about the same cost as what you spend on groceries already.

Finally, throw fatty snacks out of the house. Chips or cookies will not hurt you every now and then, but why have the temptation? Replace them with fresh fruits that can be eaten by hand, such as apples and bananas. In addition, only drink water, milk, and 100% fruit juices. When you’re out at the mall, avoid buying a quick snack. Don’t take a lot of money with you, just in case.

I was on LA Weight Loss and it really did work, but once I stopped using their LA Lites (they were VERY expensive) snack bars I stopped loosing the weight at the rate I had been loosing it. I was working out and doing everything LA Weight Loss told me to do except use their LA Lites and their suppliments and I began to gain weight. I stopped doint the LA Weight Loss plan, but I learned a TON from it. You have to have portion control, you have to restrict your calories, eat more fruits and veggies, and less meats (proteins) and just a little good fat each day. You need to drink water lots of water and give up sodas and kool aids and even high calorie juices. You need to get moving. Walking 30 mins a day is a great way to get exercise. You don’t need to spend a ton of money on these plans to make it work. I’m currently loosing weight by doing everything on my own, I eat less, but more often (usually 3 small meals and 2 snacks a day). I drink water and tea (tea is my little indulgence), I walk daily. If its raining or too hot to go outside I walk up and down the stairs to my basement for an hour. My butt and legs burn after doing that, but I feel great. Here are a few tips:

1. You MUST exercise if you want to lose weight and keep it off, so do something every day, even if it’s just a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood. Don’t say you don’t have time for exercise; you have to MAKE time. Yes, it takes time and effort, but you’re worth it, right?

2. Walk as much as you want, but don’t do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat.

3. If you do strength training, use light weights and do lots of repetitions. That’ll really help you “tone up.”

4. Your diet will make you or break you. You have probably learned bad eating habits over time (most people do). That’s not your fault, but now you have to deal with it. Make a commitment to yourself to unlearn those bad habits and re-learn better habits.

5. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of getting up. People who don’t are 450% more likely to be overweight.

6. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three squares per day or one big meal per day. Your body expends energy digesting your food, so eating smaller portions more often keeps your metabolism running high because you’re constantly digesting food.

7. Avoid these as much as possible:

— Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)
— High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)
— Fast food
— Junk food
— White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes
— The deadly C’s (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)

8. Build your diet around these trim-body-friendly foods:

— Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)
— Beans/Legumes
— Fresh vegetables (green is GREAT!!!)
— Dairy products (as long as they’re low-fat or non-fat)
— Eggs
— Lean meats (fish and poultry top the list)
— Olive oil
— Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta
— Fresh fruits (anything that ends in “berry” is a winner)
— Tea (green tea or black pekoe tea)
— Cold water or ice water (your body has to expend extra calories to heat it up)

9. Desserts and treats are the exception, not the rule. Having said that, however, (1) you can have a couple of pieces of chocolate every day – just don’t overdo, and (2) Allow yourself one “cheat meal” every week where you eat and drink whatever you want as long as you don’t gorge yourself. That’ll help keep you from feeling deprived and it’ll make it easier to stick with your new healthy eating plan.

Ok I am 15, im a male, i weigh around 265 but a month ago I weighed 280 and I just quit all of my sodas and all of that and I do exercise, I MMA train with my friends and I play basketball a good bit , play football at church and lift weights,but since I lost that 15 pounds I havent been losing that much more, Oh yea and I’m 6’2.

The best way to lose weight is really simple.

The number one rule is portion control! NEVER overeat. Only eat until you are satisfied, not full. Once you are full you’ve eaten too much.

Eat about 6 times a day in small, nutritious meals. Don’t eat processed foods! That includes pizzas, many cereals, boxed and canned items, ice cream, sweets, chips, etc.Keep up the good work with quitting soda pop! I stopped 4 years ago and I don’t miss it at all! I don’t miss the 15 pounds I dropped after stopping it either.

Eat fresh and whole foods. Fruits and Veggies are your best friends! There are many ways to make them fun to eat. You could put some peanut butter on a stick of celery or dip carrots into low-fat ranch.

Another thing: Don’t use condiments! Yes, sometimes you just want ketchup and mayo. And if you must, then use them in moderation. But vinegar and olive oil, and mustard are much healthier alternatives.

Eat whole grains! Don’t eat white flour. That includes white rice, white bread, pastries, cakes, etc. Go for brown rice, whole-wheat breads, and other whole grains.

Eat nuts and seeds! They are a very tasty alternative to chips. Popcorn, with light butter is also a very good chip alternative.

Drink plenty of water, get enough sleep, and think positive!

As for exercise, walk briskly for 30 minutes every day! Go swimming whenever you can. Do some mild weight training to build muscle.

Do these simple things and you’re on your way!

Here’s a summary:

This sounds weird but when you are exercising, wear plastic bags under your clothes to help you sweat more. It helps. Make sure you bathe after!
