Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Susan asks…

What’s the best way to lose fat without gaining weight?

What’s the best way to lose fat without gaining weight? I started exercising again to lose weight (about 2 weeks ago) and I read somewhere you can’t lose fat from a certain area, you have to tone your entire body. So when I started working out again, I gained weight instead of losing weight, could it be muscle weight? Because I really want to lose fat and not gain muscles. It’s really strange because I used the exact same workout I did last time and I lose 2 pounds every week, in just one week I seemed to have gone from 115 to 118. All I want is to lose my big belly.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Muscle weighs more than fat, but if you want to lose the fat first and then gain a little muscle instead of changing your fat to muscle while still staying the same size, i suggest eating the same amount, but healthier foods and doing more of a cardio (cardiovascular) work-out (like running, jumping jacks, jump roping, speed walking, etc) instead of muscle-toning work-outs. Good luck!!!!

Lisa asks…

How long will it take to lose weight if i starve my self?

I really want to lose weight fast in like 2 weeks.

weight loss cardiff answers:

… Really? You’re really asking that?

If you starve yourself, you’ll -gain- weight because your body goes into starvation mode, starts retaining water and all kinds of other things. You’ll be sick and miserable.

If you really want to lose weight, go exercise, eat less processed foods, drink the full 8 glasses of water a day.

How much weight do you need to lose?

James asks…

What should I eat and do to lose weight in 2 weeks?

I’m a 13 overweight boy and I’m trying to lose weight in 2 weeks. I play basketball and go cycling like 3-4 times for 30 minutes each. I usually eat bread and butter for breakfast and eat rice and peas/beans for lunch and dinner. What am I doing wrong and what should I be doing right? Exact details on what I should eat please. Thanks.

weight loss cardiff answers:

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Mary asks…

I am 13 and overweight, what are some ways to lose weight?

I am 13, 5’4″ and about 190 pounds. I would really appreciate some weight loss tips.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

weight loss cardiff answers:

The only way I’ve ever been able to lose weight is to keep a food journal, write down everything you eat and drink every day. Jot down the number of calories from packaged foods and drinks, you might be surprised what is (or isn’t!) fattening.

Don’t “diet” but instead try to figure out what you will be happy eating long term that is good for you. People who are able to keep weight off don’t usually follow an exact diet they read in a book, but instead figure out what works for them as individuals (I read that in a Consumer Reports article reviewing various commercially marketed diets). You can use a particular diet as a starting point, if that helps you, and then charge it to fit what you like.

The first week keeping a journal, don’t make any goals, just get an idea how much you are currently eating. Then start to set small goals one at a time, like reducing the number of snacks, eating smaller portions. If a particular kind of food seems to be your weakness, try to find lower calorie alternatives you like just as well, or if you can’t, you might want to limit the number of servings per week. You can also set goals like trying a healthy food you’ve never had before. But be gradual when you set goals. Don’t try to do too much at once, and don’t get down on yourself if you don’t meet a goal.

It does help to increase exercise. But whenever I try to stick with some list of exercises, I always let it slide eventually. So that never worked for me. It helps to find something active you do for fun, or it is just part of daily living, that you don’t think of it as exercise.

Most important, it’s about health, not weight. Many young women are way too thin, which is harder on your body than being overweight. Taking care of yourself may not seem important now, but when you get older, the better care you take of yourself when you’re young, can pay off by giving you a better quality of life. Eat good food, relax and don’t get too stressed, find activities you really enjoy, have fun.

Sandra asks…

Please help I need tips on weight training and healthy eating?

I’m gonna start going to the gym tomorrow and I need to do 30 minutes of weight training I just need help with working on what parts of the body for each day 5 days outta the week so i can switch it up. Also I want some weight loss tips cuz I need to lose.26lbs by may

weight loss cardiff answers:

You should try to avoid working out consecutive days, your body needs time to rest and replenish what it lost in the workout. If you only have 30 minutes a day, make em count, you should try a cycle of exercises for each muscle group.

Here is a great system for your goals, it is what I currently do and it is pretty intense, one set of each exercise and cycle to the next, repeating the process for about 30 minutes

Make sure you stretch before and after and as for diet, eat lightly before workouts and replenish afterward with protein, carbs, and most importantly, water!

Ken asks…

How do I get in to weight loss. I have the healthy eating part down..?

I need to lose some weight, I cant seem to get in to the mode. Anyone have any weight loss motivation tips or what I should do?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Everybody is different and so is they way they must approach weight loss. For me having 2 kids and a crazy schedule I had to find something I could do at home and did not need to much time investment.
I discovered Unique Hoodia which is a appetite suppressant. I’ve tried other supplements but had no luck. Hoodia was a little expensive but cheaper than fitness equipment!

It worked for me, just thought I would pass this along.
