If someone’s looking to lose weight and do it in a healthy way what are they need to look for in a weight loss program?

You can spend $$$$ on plans, but without a lifestyle change, you will just gain the weight back as soon as you get off whatever plan you are on… IMO.

Eliminating processed and fast foods is a good start along with a good pair of shoes and some audio books/podcasts. Listen to something good walk a few miles instead of sitting on the couch watching prime time tv.

I’m trying to find a weight loss program to suit me. I did weight watchers for a long time and I’m just finding it difficult to continue that program. I do want a program though because I feel like I need the structure of it. Any ideas about programs that work for the long run?

How can a teen girl safely lose weight?

I am a 13 year old girl, 5 ft 4 in and 146 pounds. According to my doctor, I am slightly overweight, and it would probably be better for me to lose about 10 pounds. Now, I exercise regularly, and I eat pretty healthy, so I’m not sure how much of my weight is actually fat. I’m not the most athletic, but I’m not out of shape either- I do well when I play tennis. I have a taller and broader frame than other girls my age. So I don’t consider myself unhealthy, but I’d like to be even more fit and drop a few pounds. Please understand that I am NOT doing this for cosmetic purposes, I just want to keep myself healthy. Right now I’m aiming for 130 pounds, but 125 or 120 would be even better.

How can I lose weight safely and relatively easily? I can make simple changes to my diet, but nothing extreme. As far as exercise goes, I have gym class 2-3 times a week, I play tennis 6 hours a week, and I can fit in a 15-20 minute exercise routine or jog daily. Right now, I’ve started by cutting out all junk food, eating more fruit and vegetables, drinking more water, and avoiding very oily and salty foods. I get 8 1/2 hours of sleep daily, I never drink sugary drinks or coffee, I never eat fast food, and I eat three meals a day.

Are healthy habits enough to lose weight, or do I actually need to start working out? Could anyone recommend some exercises for me to do? How much weight is healthy to be losing in a week? Advice is appreciated. Please no rude comments. Thanks!

Exercise and overall diet are equally important here. I will tell you what has worked for me.

Oatmeal for breakfast, and adding more snacks of fresh fruit and also salads. Stay away from processed anything. My favorite snack is to freeze fresh blueberries. Cheeses with fruits are also excellent snacks or lunches.

If you are afraid of losing muscle, eat hard-boiled eggs, especially at breakfast and lunch.

Also cut out soda and sweets completely. No diet soda, no sweet tea, no artificially sweetened anything. Use honey to sweeten things. If you are addicted to soda, try perrier or a sparkling water with fresh orange slices. The only beverages you should drink are water,tea, and 2% milk. That makes a huge difference in many people’s lives.

I think you should be able to eat what you please, but eat a salad with olive oil and red-wine vinegar before every meal. Even if you don’t like it just eat it before every meal and you will see a difference (the vinegar stimulates the pancreas, so you may feel full faster, plus the salad gives you fiber and nutrients). Then eat whatever meal you please.

When exercising, ‘moving’ is more important than ‘running’. Try to sit as little as possible every day. Walk, hike, or run every other day. Exercising once a week will not make a difference. It is frequency that makes the difference when exercising.

These some of the things that worked for me and i’ve lost about 75 lbs, my goal is to reach 100 lbs lost by 2013. Good luck!

How long does it take for Diane 35 to wear off?

I have been taking diane 35 for my acne and been on it for 8 months, it was starting to clear my acne nicely but after four months around mid june, beginning of july my entire body started to blow up at first it wasn’t noticeable but by mid august and september I was blown up and even skipped a month of my period then got it the next month and then again the following month it skipped, I had no idea what was happening as I have never been fat and always lost weight easily and never missed my periods either, now it was difficult to lose the weight, I had gained 4kg and not even the healthy kind, so I started to research when I wasn’t able to lose the weight and skipped periods so i figured the diane was the root cause so I had stopped taking it end of october and then read up on the side effects of Diane 35, they stated that it causes bloating and water retention and delaying periods or stopping it, so read the remedies for this on the website, I tried all the remedies, drinking ginger, peppermint tea, green tea, eating more healthy foods, fruits, doing exercise and even tried Fermolene and taking all the vitamins, vitamen b, c, folic acid, zinc, drinking 6 cups of water a day and even tried Cayenne pepper, inspite of following all these for 9 months after stopping diane, nothing seems to really work it subsides alittle and lose a kg but two weeks before my period i gain it back and am unable to lose it no matter what I tried. If anyone has taken Diane 35 and encountered such problems what remedies have you tried that has worked or is a sure plan to make it normal again. I figure maybe it would come back to normal after it wears off so would like to know how long does it take for this pill to wear off if you have taken it for 8 months? Please help any help is appreciated.

Like being a vegetarian or the vegan diet…. I’m thinking of being a vegetarian (For weight loss reasons) Also, a vegan, but I’m not sure which one to pick. I know the vegan is a lot strict though. If you wanna lose it, I strongly suggest fasting. It is a very very good way to reset your body and thinking about food. Most people have about six weeks of stores at least in their body to last on. Even just fasting on water. You don’t get hungrier and hungrier, it simply comes and goes. It’s a very good way to cleanse your body and give everything inside you a holdiay break. You also feel very good. Despite what you think you will feel, that is all misconception. I would recommend this.

The vegan diet is easy as piss to do. It’s normal food. See above. A lot of people think they’ll lose weight. And if you’re from a meat every meal mindset and have never even been out of your own comfort zone and think bread and meat and potatoes and cheese every night is normal food, then coming to the “actual” normal diet of plant foods ( human beings are creatures designed 20 thousand years ago to eat from plant fuels only) then you’ll get a shock anyway. But nobody is supposed to eat meat meat bread, cheese and more meat and potatoes anyway. So all in all, you’re merely coming back to the normal way of eating, even if you start a normal plant diet. That is how we’re designed to eat.

Eat from the field, tree, bush, shrub, vine. Everything is up for grabs. Everything that you would find in nature naturally. And you can’t do very well trying to kill a cow naturally without some sheer force of tools and weapons. So all the nuts, seeds, avocado, coconut, banana, potatoes, wheat, corn, peas and all the rest of the normal stuff a human animal can get to easily, is up for grabs.

Ie, don’t eat processed shyte.

A vegetarian diet is often a good way to put on weight. But you can’t just pick vegan or vegetarian and expect the diet to do the work for you. You have to do the actual work of not putting the fried rice in your mouth.

But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn’t that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?

What are the symtoms of worms in a cat ?

It is most likely some kind of metabolic disease process. The symptom of vomiting can be a symptom of any number of problems. A cat should be dewormed when it is a kitten at least twice. That is according to the CDC. As an adult a cat should have a fecal stool test at least once yearly to test for worms. Just a random deworming is un-necessary if the test results are negative for internal parasites. It is most likely you pet has an intestinal disorder, but it in important to know what your cat vomits. If it is undigested food, it is not considered vomiting, that is regurgitation. Caused by eating to fast. My cat does this and I changed his diet to Hills T/D diet. They have to chew this food, it comes in large kibble and therefore he eats slower. This really helped a lot with his regurgitation. But if your pet is truly vomiting, IE saliva, bile, liquid, partially digested food, then a disease process is occurring. Have him checked out by your vet and Good luck

He will not eat the pellets nor freeze dried anything and will only eat blood worms. I feel that he is not getting the proper vitamins. He is only 4-5 months old. Im in need of help.

The soft shell is normal for young turtles. It will harden up in time, given proper diet. I suggest starting by slipping some small earthworms into the water. They are great for stimulating turtles to hunt and feed and are a good source of protein and calcium. Other good sources are bait fishes and liver you dust in bone meal.

Avout 7-10 crickets every two -three days, don’t worry if he won;’t eat them all sometimes they eat more on their own time. Just leave them in the cage. Dust the crickets with calcium right b4 u feed then gutlaod them about 24 hours b4 u feed them.
You can also feed the gecko some type of worm when you want but prob best if you don’t feed her worms more then twice a week. You can dust and gutlaod these too. Im glad you are trying to feed your gecko the best you can!
