how long and how often do you have to exercise to lose weight quickly?
I have been doing turbo jam every day except saturdays, since August 1 2006. I do 45 minutes of cardio everyday and add strength training 3 days a week at night. I also eat under 1200 calories a day and drink plenty of water including Crystal Light. Sometimes when I look in the mirror, I look smaller in the chest area but then other times i look the same size. I just wanted to know if there are other people out there who have lost weight doing what I have been doing and how fast did they lose weight and also what are the first fat areas to disappear?

1. Doing cardio in the morning will burn 300% more fat than any other time during the day.
2. Not doing cardio at your heart rate will either burn sugar or not burn anything. Target heart rate depends on age mostly, and your doc can tell you what your target heartrate is. If anything you can get an idea of what your target heart rate by using this formula:
Fat Burning Zone = (220-Your Age) x (0.75)
That will give you a rought number, and if you keep within 8-10 points of it, you’re good.
3. Doing more than 40 min of cardio is over kill really.
4. Doing cardio any other time than morning before breakfast wastes 20 min of that cardio. It takes your body 20 min to start burning fats, so if you can’t do it in the morning, do it at least 2-3 hours after meals, and do some light weight training before that for 15 or so min or more if you want.
5. Having more muscle burns more fat. I’m not talking about bulging out, just a little tone, and a little muscle everywhere to look toned after you get all the weight you want off. 🙂
6. Your body needs a certain amount of calories, protein, carbs and even fats each day, so don’t cut that out completely.
7. Drink .6 ounces of water for each pound of your body weight. So Body Weight x .6 = how much water you should drink a day.
That’s the best way to do it, it will take a few weeks but you’ll start burning it off pretty fast and put one some muscle to have a very nice toned and slim body 🙂

Usually if you eat some type of lean protein at every meal, it will help you stay fuller longer. That helps with cravings as well as eating 5-6 small meals a day. Other than that, just try to limit yourself. If you totally deny yourself for a long length of time, you have a tendency to really overindulge when you eat the “forbidden” food again.

That’s a good amount of calories just make sure you drink alot of water about 76 ounces a day for your weight
