Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Daniel asks…

Can this help me lose weight?

I just turned 14 im 5’2 and weigh 112 and i wanna lose 7 or 8lbs.this is an article issue i read and i want to know if u think this will work.: does any of the weight lose diets ever worked for anyone?
Is it easy to lose abdominal weight fast? It can be if you are motivated enough to stick to a routine and particularly, limit your dietary intake to only essential healthy foods. Being overweight is not a healthy thing, nor the healthy body can be overweight. The start to a healthy life is all about your metabolism, which makes a weight losing diet work like a miracle for weight loss. The higher the metabolism, the more calories and fat you burn. So the right weight losing diet starts with making your metabolism work for you.How do you make it work for you? You just keep your metabolism “working” all the time. And that “work” is food and drinks! Yes, you make your metabolism faster by eating and drinking! Be sure to spread your meals and drinks through all day in the regular intervals, let it be 2-3 hours before each meal, and you can and should drink water whenever you like.An ideal weight loss program would suggest the dieter do some from of exercise. If you want to lose weight, it helps to move around a bit. However, this does not mean that you need to spend hours on the treadmill. Just do simple aerobic exercises, or even just walking 30 minutes 3 days a week, will usually do the trick. Do not drink any beverage with your meals. Stop drinking a half hour before your meal and wait until you are finished with your meal. You don’t want the water to fill you up prior to eating for you will be tempted to snack later.

How much do u think i can lose in 2 to 3 weeks? is there anything else i can do to lose weight?

Paul asks…

Tips on losing weight?

I’m trying to loose weight. I have been for the past year or so and I just can’t get motivated. I’ve tried rules, tips, tricks, mantras, crash dieting, before/after pictures. . . any ideas? This is summer, and it’s going to be easier for me to have time to excercise. Plus, for some reason my family eats healthier in the summer. (Junk food during the year). IDK why. I want to do this but I just CAN’T. I want it very badly! Sometimes I get up the nerve and just . . . loose it. I can’t afford a gym/weight loss program/special foods. Help, please.

weight loss cardiff answers:

I am in the same boat! Dieting is soooo hard! The only way to be truly successful is strict discipline. Keep your portion sizes small, fill up on veggies and fruit, and limit the junk food. Going to the gym at least three times a week is very helpful. I heard the Special K diet worked so you might want to give that a try!

Beans are a great source. Chicken…fish..seafood.Turkey.
Lots of fiber is a great way to naturally and healthily clean out your system, Fiber comes from vegetables, (no fat), and beans…
Seriously, start eating! If you dont put the correct balance of vitamins, minerals, protein etc in your body, your bones will become frail and brittle, then you would have to stop being a gymnist and then wher e would you be, no gymnist and no health! So where would that leave you? Worse than you were before! Start eating healthy, I would recoomend a dietician…Talk to your parents or teacher and ask them if they could help you find one to assist you with your goals in a structured and healthy goal objective. Eat alot of little meals, because if you stop eating or just one meal a day…it slows down your metabolism. In Eating a lot of little meals a day, you can lose weight faster & easier It is proven if you eat alot of little meals, it increases your metabolism, thereby allowing you to burn calories easier. ! Pretty cool huh?
Please take care of yourself! You didnt mention your height and how much you weigh btw. Your doctor or teacher could tell you what range you should be in….

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Ken asks…

What are some diets? Just a diet that is effective for losing weight healthy and fas?

I want to look into some diets that can help me lose weight but i don’t really know any.

weight loss cardiff answers:

The key to any diet is to expend more calories than you consume. So the healthiest and fastest ways of doing this are rather opposites. The fastest way would be to exercise a lot and eat nothing. The healthiest way, and recommended, would be to eat 6 healthy small meals a day and get lots of exercise. It’s a rather simple process, just a lot of effort. Best of wishes.

John asks…

what different types of diets do prisoners receive?

I know they give muslims special diets and what not. But What about people that are lactose intolerant, and what about people with IBS etc. Also if some panzy claimed to be a vegan in prison would they get a diet?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Your question needs to be narrowed to a particular prison in order to be answered. You have jails in Saudi Arabia, West Texas, New York City, San Diego and their policies are all different. You have local jails, county jails, and federal jails.

Years ago, an adherent to a Macrobiotic diet was imprisoned who was following very strict guidelines. He required pure water, not municipal water with fluoride and chlorine contaminants. The food was totally unacceptable and he was imprisoned for an indefinite period of time. Therefore, he could not eat and could not drink for an indefinite period of time in a local jail. In effect, the warden considered his refusal to eat an act of rebellion. He tried to say that he was under physician’s orders, but that did not work. He was told that he had to eat what everyone else was eating.

The prison populations had bets about when he would break his fast. Finally, after five days, the prisoner was released from jail.

I believe this to be an important issue. Prison populations are vulnerable to the caprice of officials. As a whole plant based food advocate, I drink well water from a deep well. Over an extended period of time, fluorine and chlorine compounds and other pollutants have short-term effects and can cause serious illness over a lifetime that may not be correlated with the contaminated water supply. Most Americans have significant levels of pollutants in our bodies. I avoid any food that is from a bottle, can, package, or any animal based food product. Our children represent another vulnerable population, and they receive poorly balanced diet that almost certainly prepares them for a lifetime of poor nutrition habits and eventual struggles with diabetes, cancer, and vascular diseases.

Donald asks…

What are the best diets to follow to lose weight?

I really want to lose weight and have tried diets in the past but nothing seems to really work. (I tried weight watchers and didn’t get any results)
What in your opinion is the best diet to follow to lose weight? I am really motivated to actually do something about it because enough is enough and I don’t want to carry around all this weight any more.

Also what are some healthy snacks to put into a lunch box for work?

weight loss cardiff answers:

You did not get any results with weight watchers?
That is weird.
How many hours did you exercise?
Are you sure you’re not a sleep eater?
It’s like being a sleepwalker but instead of just sleepwalking and doing weird stuff (I put my mouse pad in my dishwasher two nights ago and of course do not remember anything about it) you’re also raiding the fridge (leftovers are easy targets) and kitchen cupboards…so make sure you don’t have any cookies in there or you should use locks (sleep eaters cannot operate locks, even just childproof systems, no more than sleepwalkers can open the lock of an outside door or they’ll all be roaming the streets at night).

Try to forget about food and diets (so you don’t compensate deprivation and forbidden food obsessions by sleep eating).

You think that you need healthy snacks?
No you don’t if you have healthy meals that can sustain you till the next meal.
If you eat a crappy lunch like, I don’t know…a sandwich (very American, 70% of adults are overweight)…that might not sustain you until dinner.
A proper lunch would be like eating a salad or soup (appetizer), a dish (meat/poultry/fish and veggies), some dairies (cheese, yogurt or ice cream) and a desert (usually some fruit/fruit salad, applesauce or a cake).
Unless you exercise to curb hunger.
After about 30 minutes in your THR zone, the body starts releasing chemicals to prevent pain and hunger so you can keep going. Those natural chemicals (endorphins, epinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine, among others) make you feel so good…happy, energetic…
The best appetite suppressant is to exercise in your THR zone until some timer goes “ding” and some kitchen appliance (Foreman grill or rotisserie, steamer, slow cooler, pressure cooker…) tells you that dinner is ready.

Do not have a “diet” diet, where you’re told what to eat. Eat a simple healthy diet, so you can satisfy your cravings and answer your body’s need for some missing nutrients. If I’m building muscle mass, I’ll need a lot of carbs to do the weight training (because it’s anaerobic and fat burning shuts down) and then I’ll get huge cravings for eggs, nuts or a good juicy filet mignon (need for protein for the “repairing stronger” part) otherwise, I would only eat eggs or meat like once a week.

Eating healthy is about avoiding the unhealthy food as much as possible. Once you stay away from fast food (any restaurant food), packaged and boxed food (except for bread, pasta, rice), canned food, prepared and processed food (cereals included but you can have Weetabix), then you’re left with the fruits/veggies, whole wheat food (the brown kind of bread, pasta), brown rice, corn, legumes (beans, peas, lentils, peanuts…), meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairies, and the good kind of oil (olive, avocado, nuts, fish).

You can have any of the “bad stuff” occasionally so they don’t become forbidden obsessions. Have some French fries, or one slice of pizza (with your favorite veggies) or a cookie, once in a while. Just don’t do it every day and watch out for portion sizes. You can also “push the envelope” and make your own French fries from scratch (never frozen and defrosted) in healthy canola oil, blot, blot, blot, just a dash of salt and you get healthy French fries or you can make homemade pizza with good healthy ingredients.

Canned food is okay if you use it to enhance a recipe. Like canned tomatoes have more antioxidants than fresh ones as they are more concentrated.
I also use canned corns in my recipes. And I like canned asparagus with canned beets (in a salad with vinaigrette). I tried fresh (steamed) asparagus and beets but I prefer the soft texture on the canned ones. As long as your can is not some dreadful soup or prepared meal with tons of sodium.

Also the cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer (using water), a rotisserie (using heat and herbs), a slow cooker (using homemade broth and herbs), a pressure cooker, a grill…

Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.

Remember…never use food (or the lack of it) to lose body fat.
Exercise for 3,500 calories for each pound of body fat that you wish to lose.
You usually need to first GAIN muscle mass weight while getting in shape for the first 3 to 6 months.
