Does Anyone Have Any Creative Weight Loss Recipes?

I’m 19 and my husband is 22, we both have full-time jobs and are incredible busy, he is a computer technician that works a regular 9-5 job at a software developer and he runs his own business. I work as a sales representative for a wholesale shoe business, with a desk job that requires some but not much physical activity. I’ve always been a bit over weight and even though I just lost 30 pounds, have plateaued to 140, I’m 5’4 and do not consider myself fat, just I do have a few pounds to lose.My husband on the other hand, is 6’0 feet and 240 pounds which really worries me, he is a food lover of everything that is edible. And like I said, we are both extremely BUSY people so it’s hard to do groceries or take 30 minutes to walk everyday, but we do it anyway.

I’ve tried putting us on a “diet” which consists of 6 day’s of healthy eating and one day of eating whatever we wish.

But I’ve grown tired of the food I’ve been cooking which has been salmon, rice, beans, chicken, veggies, more chicken, we have steak once a week, and some sort of pasta, whether it’s spaghetti or fettuccine Alfredo once a week. I’ve noticed that the same things are sooooo boring and have found it hard to actually incorporate VEGETABLES in our diets. Fruits are easy, veggies are hard.

The recipes online are filled with vegetables that I don’t even know what they are or how to prepare. I’ve tried researching online any simple food recipes but the ones I have tried are just NOT my taste.

Anyone have their on recipes or an online source that has regular easy recipes for everyday people that don’t know how to pouch and what not?

It’s not that I don’t have time because I have a 9-5 job. Like I said… we run our own business and going to open a store in Jan meaning we have absolutely NO time… except for today that I took a day off but my husband is STILL working (he’s been out since 8 am, will get home here at 12 am to wake up at 6 to go to work again, and we work 1 hour from where we live so add 2 hours of commute everyday). So it’s harsh when someone accuses us me of not working hard, of being lazy, of working less so I can just get “paid”. No… I work hard because I want my hard work to make ME wealthy, not to make other people wealthy through MY hard work… But like I said, I’ve been putting us on a diet plus excising at least for 30-45 min a day. SO don’t be harsh please :).

I dont have a specific answer for you, but i can tell you that juicing your vegetables, if you can get used to the taste, is extremely beneficial for your body, and can help boost your metabolism. I went on a 5 day juice cleanse, i juiced my own vegetables, added a small amount of fruit for taste. I found recepies in First magezine, they have creative healthy recipes so check them out. Anyway, i lost 4 lbs that week, and felt great to boot! Btw i am 21 and 5’3, about 145lbs. I know how it feels to want to get rid of just those few extras 🙂 here is what i usually had for breakfast, but keep in mind, you have to get used to the taste, and tweak it where you need to…if you cant handle the celery taste, omit it, i did some days.

Juice all this together:
1 Beet
3 Carrots
2 Apples
2 Celery stalks
1/2 inch ginger root (for taste)
1/2 lemon
( i added fresh spinach sometimes, but unless you have a high grade juicer, its better to put spinach in a blender)

substitue apples if you want, i added it to this recipe to add some sweet. Also any red fruit boosts metabolism as well, such as red grapes. Good luck

I have a very big appetite and i would like to satisfy my hunger by eating healthy meal. Anyone can give me easy to prepare healthy meal so that i don’t have to starve myself in order to lose weight? I read many articles that said starving will lose muscle right? I need something that i can take it on the go because i go to work very early in the morning and i might not have too much time to prepare. Please help

Also, check out www.sparkpeople.com. It’s free. You can tell it what you’ve eaten for the day and it will track calories for you, and it has really great message boards with supportive people. It’s helped me lose almost 100 pounds.

This is a pretty complex issue. (More complex than typing “2” to replace “to,” I would imagine.)

I think what’s interesting, is early in the war, Bonhoeffer had the opportunity to escape, fled to New York, and then went back to Germany, to try to be a moral opposition to the Nazi.

He was completely involved in the assassination attempt against Hitler — so he was willing to help kill. And I’m sure, since you’ve read his writings, you understand how much Bonhoeffer struggled with the right and wrong of what he did.

So, was he a good Christian EXAMPLE, may be a better question. Should followers of Christ support killing, ever, even in the most extreme situations? I don’t think so. The question shouldn’t be, would a Christian be willing to kill Hitler, to stop Hitler’s evil, the question should be would CHRIST be willing to kill to stop evil? No. But Christ was willing to die to stop evil. And, eventually, so was Bonhoeffer.

When Bonhoeffer left the USA, and returned to Germany, he knew the possible outcome. When he helped start the break away seminary, he knew he was going against the official policy of the government and the church in Germany. When he agreed to participate in the assassination plot, he knew the possible outcome, so every step of his life, he was willing to die for his beliefs — for his belief in Christ.

Shouldn’t all followers of Christ be willing to die for Christ?

Dont go on a fasting diet. It may not be the best method. It can wreck your metabolism.

Here’s what you can do

1. Based on your age, figure out your Basic Metabolic Rate- you can do this easily online.

2. Your goal must be to aim for 500-750 (not more) calorie deficit each day through a combination of a good healthy diet and exercise

3. Eat your breakfast. Research shows that breakfast eaters lose more weight than those who do not.

4. Eat 4 -5 meals spaced out at intervals of 3-4 hours each day. This keeps your metabolism chugging well throughout the day.

5. Once every week, do a high calorie or a high carb day. Give into your cravings, have that pizza slice. Just to give your body a break from the dieting and help you to stay on the wagon.

6. Exercise is must, if you want to keep the weight off and not just be subject to the yo yo diet syndrome. Cardio and Weight training – both forms of exercise must be included.

Again here, dont overdo the diet and skip the exercise. Our bodies are very smart. If they dont get enough food- presuming you go on a very low cal diet, our body tends to think that we are starving. Our metabolism goes down, the body then trys to hang on for dear life to the fat in our body. The exact opposite of what we aim for.

So eat well. Exercise well. Stay committed and you will melt that fat away.

– Which foods you may think are helping you lose weight (but are actually causing you to gain weight)?
– Which Carbs, Proteins, and Fats are the best to eat for maximum fat loss?
– How to regulate specific hormones to cause fat burning in your body?
– Exactly which strategies will never work when it comes to weight loss?

Weight loss programs seems so easy to find on the web, but actually it’s not, since half of them are scams or stupid. If you wish I can share with you my prefered diet program, I am experiencing some good results with it, perhaps it might help you also…

I’ve tried just about every diet pill under the sun, and I can tell you that the only things I’ve ever had success with were natural supplements like acai berry. I tried a lot of the products like Hydroxycut, but they only made me dizzy and nauseous, not skinny! 🙂 lol

I’d recommend you check out things like acai berry or colon cleanse products that help to boost energy levels and speed up metabolism naturally. Add them to a strictly healthy diet and a lot of exercise, and you should start to see results pretty quickly. Remember – there are no miracle pills, so if you want to lose weight, you can’t just sit around on your butt all day eating pizza!

If you really want to lose wight and fat then you should remember and do this:

EVERYDAY RUN (WALK) + L-Carnitine + TAKE LESS CALORIES + LIPO-6 = 100% SUCCESS

1) if you dint have then buy scales!!! That is the first thing to do!!

2) run every 2 days for at least ~30 minutes or/and walk every day at least 5 km!

5) you MUST change your diet!! Start to use products with less fat, less carbohydrates! Start count your calories! Do not eat more than ~2000 per day and if you feel that you can reduce this number then do it!

And drink more and more water!! REMEMBER – NO rice, NO pasta, NO pork, NO mayonnaise, NO sweets, NO candies, NO alcohol!!!!!
