Do you have any weight loss Success stories?

I am in the process of losing weight after being pregnant, and having a c-section. I actually gained most of my weight before I got pregnant. I had a hard time getting pregnant. I had PCOS, and some hormone problems that made me pack on the pounds, on top of taking meds to help with those problems, the meds I had to take caused weight gain. During my pregnancy I only gained about 35 pounds, which my doctor told me was the healthy amount to gain. Before all these problems came up I was used to being very thin. I always felt like I was very pretty, and I had a lot of confidence. I still think I’m pretty; I just want to lose weight. Also after I get my weight off I will be buying a completely new wardrobe, and makeup. So that gives me something to really look forward to, and makes me want to get it off that much more. I would love to hear some of your weight lose success stories, or makeover succes stories. Or if you have any kind of tips what so ever.

I lost about 45 pounds and went from 140 to 95 in a few months. It was actually easy for me because my body is very sensitive to weight loss. I just cut down on portion sizes and completely ruled out deserts, fatty foods, and became a vegetarian.

I’ve tried so many things to lose weight, but I really haven’t had much success (at least none that lasted). I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some success stories with me. How did you do it?

I did it the old fashioned way, hard work, and less food. I worked outside in the heat and sweated it off. Also stopped drinking regular sodas. In a summer I went from 220 to 180. Good luck.

I’d really like to listen to your success stories for weight loss. Especially if you found a way to do it in five weeks. Maybe it’ll motivate me so that I’ll have my own success story one day.
By the way, when I lose weight, I practically melt it off. Like, I can lose 4lbs per week if I just cut out sodas. Would 12 lbs in 3 weeks being going too far, even though I hardly try? Or should I aim for like 3 per week?

This time two years ago, i weighed 155 lbs. (height of 5’5). But, i ate more veggies and limited calories to about 1200, and i switched between jogging and running for about 30 minutes a day, 3-5 days a week. I had gotten to 140 in about a month and a half. =]

okay im an athlete and im a teenager.
i do tonnes of exercise.
i havent always had the best diet. i do avoid fast food but little unhealthy snack etc were always a weakness for me
however due to my excessive exercising i maintained a healthy weight. however there is a small bit of fat around my stomach area that i want to trim
so if i subsitute me “moderately healthy” diet for a “fully healthy” diet. and i plan my meals so that they are evenly spaced and this gets a consitancy to my metabolism… in conjunction with my good exercise…
in theory i should lose weight relatively easy right?

How to lose weight without going to the gym?

i am a teenager and i weigh 60kgs. my height is about 5″4. is this ok? i’m fat but i dont look that horrible. i’m just flabby, especially the belly area it streches out when i wear tight tops and i hate it! how can i lose my tummy/weight easily in 1-2 months. plz recommend any special diety foods also!!

Ya u r lil fatty . Firstly dunt wear tight tops , wear loose kurtas or loose tops in which ur tummy dunt comes out . Dunt waste money on gyms or belts they are just temporary solution . Do excersice daily . In beginning u will find difficult so first day start with 15 min , then 20 , then 30 slowly slowly increase this timming . And have control on ur diet . Avoid fried foods and chocolates .drinks lots of water atleast 14 -15 glasses per day . Do excersice it really hepls u will see diffrence in 1 week seriously try it rather than going to gyms and all that stuff . All d best

What is an easy way for me to lose weight?

Some changes you could start with are having vegetable soup, sandwiches or wraps for lunch. If you make a vegetable soup, blend it up and the texture will remind you of creamed soups, but without the fat. Adding fresh or freshly ground herbs (an herb grinder works well for this) to the soup will work wonders for the taste.

If you grab a snack, be sure and look at the label for fat content. Wholegrain crackers or yogurt or a low fat string cheese are great things to nibble on. Use reduced fat dairy and spray on oils, or better yet, a little olive oil.

Cut all visible fat off meat and remove chicken skin before you cook it. You could brush on a little olive oil to provide an alternative to the meat fat. By grilling, steaming or roasting your food, you will save a ton of calories.

Food cooking in fat will absorb it. Food steamed or grilled will not. One method of preparing tasty vegetables is to cut them up, brush with a little olive oil, sprinkle on some fresh or freshly ground herbs, and then roast in the oven. This is a delicious way to prepare them.

Always have breakfast if you can, and regular low calorie snacks throughout the day. Keeping your hunger at bay will prevent overeating. Limit your alcohol intake as alcohol is just empty carbohydrates. Serve your food on a smaller plate so that it looks bigger, or when dining out, put half of the meal in a take home box immediately. Out of sight is better than in sight.

Exercise and watch less TV. If the task of losing weight still seems a bit daunting, try a few things first, then increase the tips and tricks. You have to think about losing weight, but trying a few of these tips will have you started along the right path in no time. Well a good way to lose weight is a good cardiovascular workout. When you wake up, jump rope for about 30 minutes (having music really helps). This is BEFORE you eat breakfast. Do the same before bed (after dinner). Then you can become overall more active. I usually run a mile everyday (all i can handle right now) and i ride my bike alot. That keeps me from gaining weight from all the junk food i eat lol :D…The more active you are, the higher your metabolism becomes, and the more calories you burn.

Eat extremely healthy. That does not mean starve yourself. Stay away from carbs and eat salads and fruits. Eat protein, but not fatty meat like steak. Try to stick with chicken and beans. Do not drink anything with a ton of bad sugar in it. Only drink really orange juice, milk, and most of all, lots of water. Eat when you are hungry, but only eat healthy. Instead of chips, go for an apple and a glass with orange juice. Also, NO DESSERT!!!!!! If you have to eat carbs (which you should eat a LITTLE bit of) go for the whole wheat option.

Then you need to excersise. Go swimming in a pool 1-3 times a week for 40 minutes. Swim laps and take breaks when you need them, but dont take more that 10 minutes total break. Take a run on a treadmill or outside around your block 3 times every day that you dont swim (if you swim at all) and make sure to stretch thourougly before and after every workout. You will be sore from your workouts, but you have to pull through. Then do about 100 sit ups every other day, 4 groups of 25 sit ups with little breaks between them.

Healthy breakfast recipes for weight loss?

I’m looking for healthy, breakfast recipes other than the cereal I eat every morning. Something easy and tasty to make that has proper nutrients and calories to aid with weight loss. Any smoothie ideas/easy recipes appreciated.

Ahh smoothies are my favorite breakfast!! My kiddos love them too! They are grab and go, flavorful and they are customizable to taste preference.

Here’s my basic plan (add or subtract items as you like):

Toss in the blender and away you go!

Ingredients:
-Yoplait Greek Plain yogurt(17 grams of protein per container! And has both calcium and vitamin D in it, which not all brands do)
-frozen fruit of choice (blueberries, mango, cranberries, strawberries, blackberries, pineapple)
-splash of juice (I like guava or passionfruit)
-tsp of zest of citrus fruit (lemon, orange, grapfruit)
-Tbsp of flax seeds (optional)
-soft tofu (optional)

Have you tried veggies in your smoothie?:
-frozen green veggies (kale or spinach) they mix right in…you won’t even know they are there!

Yummy, nutritious, and portable!!
