What commercial weight loss programs are vegan?

I lost 90 pounds on a “whole plant based diet” (healthy vegan), but want help in losing another 60 pounds. Are there any commercial weight loss programs that are “vegan” in nature?

How come weight loss programs and dieting programs don’t work?

I’m currently doing an assignment for health class and the question is, well, the title of this question — “How come weight loss programs and dieting programs don’t work?” I mean things like Weight Watches, Jenney Craig, etc.
I’ve tried Google but nothing so far.

Ok now hear me out….i think the reason they dont wor is because…THEY DONT WANT PPL TO LOSE THE WEIGHT AND KEEP IT OFF!! Reason being is because then they wont be as sucessful at sellin thier product!they want people to be fat and they know if there is somthing out there that works there goes thier bisness..cause ppl would do it lose it and leave it at that ..it would be no more money for all this bs thsey come up with!i think they make stuff to help you loose a little weight but then u will gain it all back and come back to ther product!cause u will think “while on jenny craig diet i lost weight” and u will go purchase whatever again to see a lil results…am i making any sence??lol just my opinion!! Does anyone know any good weight loss programs that are good for diabetics?

A friend of mine is interested in starting a weightloss program, but is type 2 diabeties. She cannot handle any sugars whatsoever, and has to limit herself to VERY few carbs. With this being said, does any know, preferebly from experience, any good weightloss programs for diabetics? Something where the food can be ordered, such as NutriSystem, where you don’t have to go to the place to participate. Thanks in advanced~~! Links would be much appreciated,

The South Beach Diet is really good. Try to do this with her. It’s always nice to have somebody to diet with for support. You can also do Weight Watchers on the internet. Both are good.

What do you think is the best way to easily lose weight fast?

I’m only a teenager and I’ve always wanted to lose weight because I’d say I’m over 50 pounds over weight and I don’t have enough money in the family to go on a slimfast diet or LA weight loss and i need some ideas of what to do.

1. First start by getting up earlier than usual. Around 5:30 AM to do some of you workouts. Getting up early shocks your metabolism because the body needs more energy to get going. Right? This will start your system on the road to weight loss. That early start with about 10 minutes of stretching. Have a cup of coffee to get the blood going also.

2. Do all the sit-ups you can. Just do them. 15 or 20 whatever, we don’t have a lot of time to work with. Rest 1 minute repeat, do this for 6 sets. Already you are breathing hard and feel worn, because the body is working extra hard at being up earlier and then going right into exercise. If the early morning hour lets you get your cardio in, go ahead and do it. 30 minutes.

3. Diet. Cut all current meal portions in half, just cut them in half, nothing fancy or complicated, CUT IN HALF! Cut out all bread products, all gravies, candies, chips, night snacks, etc. If you crave at night eat a banana, other fruit or best a non-fat yogurt. There are some tasty ones out there.

4. In the evening do another 6 sets of sit-ups maxing out each set. Cardio again. The trick is to stay with getting up earlier. Yes it’s hard, that’s why it is so effective. Why do you think the Army gets up so early, it is intense training to the max.

im only 13 and i know its stupid i want to lose with but i’ve eat a little bit of junk food lately and i can see i’ve got extra pounds on, not much though. so i need to lose a LITTLE bit of weight, not loads + maybe quickly?

after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to

The natural “diet”: Eat, drink, and be merry

Eat smart – well-balanced meals, cut out any unnecessary calories (snacking just because), eat when you are hungry (grumbling stomach, hunger pains) and only eat until you are satisfied (not a bite more), 5-6 smaller meals is better than 3 larger ones. Also, stop eating 2-3 hours before bed – you should be slightly hungry at bed time

Drink plenty of water, not only to stay hydrated, but its important for weight loss, including helping the muscles tone and suppressing hungry. (Tip – the lighter your urine the more hydrated you are.)

Be merry – in other words exercise, not only is it needed for weight loss, it releases chemicals in your brain and makes you more happy (some of it is addicting which is known to a lot as “runner’s high”). 30 minutes of cardio is recommended daily, and a good work out program uses cardio and weight training (even if it’s just toning – light weights, more reps). Do something you enjoy and it will be easier to stick it out.

Diet plans?

Do any of you know any good diet plans? I want to lose at least 20 pounds in a month and a half because I have to get in a dress. Any suggestions? I do cardio 3 times a week and work out 2 days a week, and I have decided that I need to do more cardio during the week…so it’s not like I don’t exercise, I just have really bad eating habits and don’t know of any good diets. And also, I hate drinking only water, and I’m addicted to pop. Any good drinks you can think of with low calories? No diet coke/pepsi though…thanks in advance =)

Diet Plans?

I am 15, 5’0 and have a small build. I currently weigh 127 pounds. I would LOVE to weigh 115, well actually I would love to weigh 110 but lets start out easy haha! Since January 1st, I have lost a total of 40 pounds, but now with school starting again I would LOVE to lose the final 12 plans. I currently do Dance Dance Revolution EVERYDAY for 5 miles (it calculates how many miles you jog doing it) and I am starting to do 100 crunches and 25 push ups again (I stopped for a while because I got lazy during the summer – who doesn’t! haha!) But anyways, does anyone have any GOOD diet plans? I am going to start making myself eat less carbs (I currently have been eating a lot, and I am going to make myself drink 8 glasses of water everyday) But is there anythign else I can do? Please help! Don’t tell me I’m not overweight like some have done in the past..I know I am…I am also short so its worse! But please help! Any help is wanted! 10 points for the best answer! 🙂 Thanks a lot in advance!

Keep up this and you’ll shed those pounds pretty soon!Just eat a 100 calories less then your normal meal.You shouldn’t go on a carb diet, you need to eat all types of foods, try changing what you eat every 3 days and you will lose weight about 11 pounds in 2-3 weeks. I’m not sure it was something on Google that you had to pay for but those are the guidelines!And remember not to go on any fad diets!Don’t starve yourself!

How do you lose weight running cross country?

I have been doing cross country for a few weeks and I have not lost any weight at all. I have gotten so much better at running though. Is there a way I could lose weight but still keep getting better at running? I get much more hungry after running because I burn so many calories at our workouts. About how much should I eat each day? I am aiming to lose 20 lbs and I burn about 700-1000 calories per workout 6x a week. Thanks

What’s a better way to lose weight running or jogging?

I heard that you can lose weight faster by jogging versus cardio (running) by keeping your heart rate at a certain beats per minute. Is this correct? I’ve been running about 6 miles/day 5-6 days/week and have not been able to lose weight. What am I doing wrong here?

What is better if you want to lose weight – running or walking?

I have regular use of a treadmill aiming to lose a few kilo’s and am wondering if running is better than walking to lose weight.

I would say a combination of both running and walking would be most effective. Running tends to put more stress on the joints and can cause pain, whereas walking is less stressful and you still do burn calories, even if it’s at a slower rate. I would try walking for 2 or 3 minutes, then bumping the speed up gradually. Gradual changes though, so your heart has a chance to accellerate for the amount of work you’re doing. Plus you’ll be able to run for longer if you gradually step up to running speed. Good luck though!
