Donna asks…

How do I lose weight and cellulite free and easily?

Hi! My name is Selena. I’m 58 kilograms and have stayed that way no matter what I do! I’m 1.65cm. I look pretty fat and I really want to lose some weight.

weight loss cardiff answers:

The Anti-Cellulite Diet
You can take steps to improve your overall health and well being, and reduce the amount of fat stored in your body. Cleansing the body and removing excess toxins may help improve your skins appearance and reduce your tendency toward cellulite. What types of foods should you be eating?
Organic fruits and vegetables are excellent foods for cleansing your body and helping eliminate stored toxins. Fresh fruits and vegetables contain multiple compounds like fiber, phytochemicals and minerals that help rid the body of pollutants. Fruits and vegetables also contain antioxidants that help reduce the damage inflicted on our bodies by free radicals (like those in smoke and alcohol).
Which fruits and vegetables are the best at fighting toxins and combating cellulite? Here are some of the most beneficial and nutrient packed fruits and vegetables:
•Blueberries and blackberries
•Cherries
•Mangos
•Oranges
•Strawberries and raspberries
•Cranberries
•Grapefruit
•Apples
•Spinach
•Tomatoes
•Fennel
•Bell peppers
•Carrots
A diet high in essential fatty acids and antioxidant minerals will help regulate our body’s fat metabolism. Oily fishes, nuts and seeds are good selections in this category. Drinking lots of water will also help flush the body and remove toxins more rapidly than dieting alone.
Foods you should avoid
Some foods may make cellulite appear worse. The worst offenders include alcohol (which dehydrates your body), refined foods (including foods high in artificial additives and sweeteners), soda, and eating a diet overly high in animal protein.
One of the best ways to combat cellulite is not by dieting alone. A diet and exercise plan will help fight fat in all the right places. You should strive to exercise at least 4 times per week, every day if you can fit it in. Even a brisk walk around the block will help stimulate circulation and get the blood pumping in all the places it needs to be. What should you not do? Focus on ‘spot training’. No amount of spot training is going to remove cellulite if you don’t reduce the total amount of fat in your body. That said, if you are overweight you should aim to follow a sensible diet including plenty of fruits, vegetables and lean proteins combined with regular exercise.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Richard asks…

Any easy, simple weight-loss exercises?

i need it for an essay for health class. thanks. ^_^

weight loss cardiff answers:

In a word, “NO”. Don’t be fooled by commercials that promise pills or equipment that make you drop tons of weight “simply and easily”. If that were true, Americans wouldn’t be so, uh…’plump’.

However, you may find an exercise that you love, which will make it seem less daunting. For instance, I fell in love with rock climbing — it was so much fun, it didn’t feel like exercise although it was extremely strenuous. I lost fat, gained muscle and had a BLAST. Bellydancing is also fun and great exercise, but still not “easy”.

Simply practicing holding in your tummy will, however, help tighten your abs…but not lose weight.

Linda asks…

What is the quickest and best way to achieve weight loss using natural products or easy exercise.?

What is the quickest and best way to achieve weight loss using natural products or easy exercise.

weight loss cardiff answers:

The single major cause of disease and obesity is acidic residue, caused by our improper imbalanced diet. All this talk about calories is just nonsense. I bet you know plenty of people eating how much they want and not gain weight. How come? They have a more alkaline diet by eating more fruits and vegetables. It’s not about calories, it’s about pH.

Most high protein foods and “fake foods” (like doritos, cheerios…) have a higher acidity level than your body. So the body starts producing fat tissue to “glue” to the acidic molecules to try to get back to the normal pH level. Once you start eating a more alkalizing diet, the body’s need for fat decreases and you’ll start losing weight

George asks…

Easy weight loss success stories?

I’m 16 5’6″ and I weigh 145 and female. I’m at an ok weight but I’d rather weigh around 130-135. I ride an exercising bike for about 30-45 minutes a day, do crunches, push-ups, and I lift weights to tone my muscles. I’ve been doing this for about 2 weeks and I wanna know if there’s any other easy exercises that I can do to help lose weight. I don’t really care too much about the numbers but I wanna lose a few inches from my waist. So anything that you’ve done or maybe a friends done that has worked would be appreciated thanks.

No cutting calorie things though I tried that once and couldn’t do it. I don’t eat a lot to begin with because I’m never really hungry. I weighed like 180 when I was like 13 but recently I haven’t really been able to lose the last 10-15 pounds. I wan to lose it by february but I’d be happy with by spring break or even by summer hopefully it won’t take until summer it’s not that much.

Sandy asks…

What is the difference between a food service dietitian and a clinical dietitian?

I thought a food service dietitian can work in a clinical setting.

Any resources on where I can find out more about food service dietitians?

weight loss cardiff answers:

It would be more complicated if a food service dietician would work on a clinical setting. First you have to consider what type of food is best for a certain sick patient. Like working on hospitals. My cousin is a dietician and she had an experience on working at hospitals and she had also put up her own food service business. She said, it was much more easier being in the food service industry than going on clinical. When you work on clinical, you have to consider the health nutrient needs of a patient. Thus, limited. Whereas a food service dietician it is of a large scale food planning and service.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Linda asks…

what is an easy way to lose weight in 2 weeks?

i have a little over 2 weeks to lose up to 10 pounds. im 14 and heard that sit ups are useless. are they? and any other info about weight loss i would really appreciate:) also: its mostly in the stomach area that i need weight loss in.

weight loss cardiff answers:

1 Dietary control and exercise. It’s true what they say – all you need to do is watch what you eat, and expend more energy than you consume. It’s really that simple. You can quit reading this list now, you now know everything you need to know and didn’t need to fork over $500 for the privilege of me telling you the secret of losing weight. You don’t need to read a 4,000 page book, you don’t have to buy a tape series, you don’t need to stay up late at night to watch infomercials to understand this basic premise. It’s 100% true.

2 Change your lifestyle. If you’re calling this a “diet,” then you’re going to gain all the weight back (and more) within a few months of losing it. Diets do not work. Diets are temporary. When you change your dietary lifestyle, however, you’re changing your habits – and you’re putting yourself on track for long-term / continued success and weight maintenance. Don’t ever tell anybody you’re on a diet – ever. I’m speaking from experience, here – a reformed low-carber. Worked out well for a while, but ultimately failed because my entire lifestyle didn’t change (permanently).

3 Join an online support group. In my case, I created my own – FatBlasters. It’s essential that you not feel alone, and reaching out to friends (new or old) is typically a smart move. I just heard about PeetTrainer, but didn’t know about it when I began down the road to weight loss. You have to know that others are out there for moral support – they know things that you couldn’t possibly know, and they’ve probably been “in your shoes” at some point in the past (or present). Share stories, laughter, tears, successes, and failures – share them. There are thousands of communities out there, so keep looking until you find the one that fits you.

4 Take before and after photos. I know it sucks to see yourself as a chunky monkey (sorry, that’s what I called myself – if only to get myself motivated to meet my weight loss goal). However, there’s no easier way to illustrate your progress. The “after” photos are far more fun to capture and share, admittedly. Find yourself on Flickr! It’s good to see yourself how others see you. Do you like how you look? In many ways, Flickr helped me lose weight.

5 Hire a substitute teacher. Don’t reach for the brands you know and love immediately – or without thinking first. Eggs are “good” for you, but consider using egg substitutes instead (in fact, many restaurants will let you order lower calorie foods). There are countless “lower” alternatives for you to try. If something different doesn’t taste good, by all means – find a better substitute, or eat less of the original. In some cases, the substitute may be worse for you than the regular version of the product. The good news is, healthier choices are silently replacing their “normal” counterparts – and they taste just as nice.

6 Start reading labels. I know it sucks, but you have to do it – and there’s no way to avoid this tip. If you don’t know what you’re putting in your mouth, you’re flying blind. Don’t assume, either – triple-check the ingredients list and serving sizes. You must rely on yourself for this; nobody else is going to be able to lose the weight or do the math for you. It’s not that complicated a task, but it will require effort. If nothing else, just pay attention to the calorie count.

7 What’s so funny about bovines? If you like cheese, you must buy the Laughing Cow brand, and keep several of the suckers in stock at all times. The individually-wrapped wedges make for excellent snacks, and are wonderful when melted over just about anything edible. I’d be careful about straight-up American cheese, though – it’s oil, but not necessarily as good for you as (say) a slice of cheddar would be. I have yet to find something as calorie-light and filling as Laughing Cow (I don’t know how they do it).

8 Tell your family. You’re not going to lose the weight alone, even if you ARE alone in losing the weight. If you’ve got a family at home, talk to them about it – initially, not incessantly. Let them know what you’re going to do, and that you want (and need) their support. If you don’t let them know, you’re running the risk of them inadvertently sabotaging your efforts. You want them to help you get to your goal(s). You want them to share in your happiness when you’ve made it past a certain mark. Who knows? Maybe some of your new habits will rub off on them and they’ll become healthier people, too?

Ken asks…

How can I slim down in 2 weeks? Not lose weight as such, but be smaller!?

I’m in a fashion show in 2 weeks time (for charity) and I’m worried I won’t fit in the dress they’ve picked! It’s for the bridal section. It’s a wedding dress (really) with a boned corset top. It was very tight when I first tried it and unfortunately I’m one of those people whose weight fluctuates quite a lot. I could do with losing 2-3 inches+ from my stomach/waist in 2 weeks.

A friend had suggested the “juicing diet” but will this work for me? I don’t need to lose weight, just inches. I don’t want the kind of diet that will take the weight straight off my breasts as that isn’t going to help me!

Thank you!
By not wanting to lose weight but lose inches, I mean I’m looking for ways to stop bloating, water retention, etc. Not looking for a lecture on how I should have known about this weeks ago! (Which actually, I didn’t.) I found out last week and have bad hormones that make me bloat and retain water. But thanks.

And a genuine thank you to everyone else!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Still isn’t healthy, no matter how you look at it, but the best thing you can do to drop five to ten pounds or so, (two or three inches is a lot), is a mild diuretic added to your diet SHORT TERM. Leek broth, (buy leeks, cook them down, drink the broth, eat the leeks) works wonders for french women! Basically, don’t stop drinking water because this will actually make you retain more, but pulling the excess water out of your system and reducing inflammation in your body is the quick fix you’re looking for. Look into the Percone Promise. Great book and a healthier process. Good luck with that dress, and just promise that you’ll eat after!

Daniel asks…

How to lose weight in 2 weeks?

i really dont want to hear how unhealthy it is cause i already know i just would like a way to lose 15 to 20 pounds of fat in 2 weeks. Also what is the most weight you have lost in 2 weeks?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I would try this workout. At the same time you will be gaining muscule and burning fat. So its awesome.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Two 5 pounds weights.
* means one 5 pound weight in each hand.

If you don’t have two 5 pound weights try using water bottles full of water.

Workout:
Stretch
*20 Bench Press x3
20 squats x3
*20 side arm lifts x3
20 crunches x3
20 push-ups x3
*20 lunges x3
20 leg lifts x3
Walk for 30 mins
Stretch

Stretching before your workout helps you not to pull a muscule during your workout.

Stretching after your workout helps you not be AS sore afterward.

I try to do this everyday, but I’m sure you would get results doing this only 2-4 days a week. I recomend everyday.

Eat 1500 calories a day and drink 8 glasses of water daily.

You will lose weight and tone up!

I’ve lost 6 pounds and I’ve only been doing it for a week!

You can do it! I know you can!

You will be sore. And it will hurt but you can do it.

Don’t be scared to add more excercises of more reps.

Hope this works for you!
