Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Sandy asks…

lose weight?

i am 17 years old. and weigh 143 pounds. it is my wish to weigh only 137 pounds. for the past three days i have been running three miles everyday. however the food i eat is very very very oily. it has lots of fat. i eat at least 4500 calories per day. i have been thinking of going on a fruit diet to lose weight. if anyone has any ideas please tell me. i need to lose six pounds in two weeks.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Limit yourself on the fatty foods, i mean 4,500 calories! If you don’t wacth out all that fat foods can clog your arteries which can be very dangerous. So modarate what you eat and try to have some fruits and some veggies or salads at least once a day, and if your having salads cut down on the ranch its too much sugar and salad can still taste good without dressing. Good luck!. 🙂

James asks…

Lose weight?

I’m an 17 yr. old girl who is 5’5″ and 140 lbs., medium bone structure. I generally eat healthy (no soda, snacks, etc….) but have recently restarted a daily exercise routine (I stopped after a long vacation in the winter). I’m planning to swim 2x per week, take ballet lessons 2x per week and lift weights 1x per week (1 hr. each). Is it possible for me to lose 15 lbs. by the end of the summer? or is 140 lbs. a healthy weight for me?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
Eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast – they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner – repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
Ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Weight Loss Cardiff’s Simple Guide To Healthy Eating Part 3

A Foods

An A is the second highest grade a food can receive. To get an A grade, the food must still be 100% natural (not refined or processed in any way), and it must be fairly high in nutrient density, while low in calorific value. (The exception to this is Nuts, seeds and Olive oil, whilst their calorific values are high their health benefits taken in small quantities put them in the A grade.) Like the A* foods, A foods are also high in fiber, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, carotenoids, phytochemicals, and of course vitamins and minerals. The A grade proteins are the lean, complete proteins (those containing all the essential amino acids). The A grade fats are those high in omega 3 fatty acids and other healthy essential fatty acids. The A is a very good grade. If your diet consists of mostly A grade foods then you are well on your way to a healthier lifestyle, and weight loss in Cardiff.

A grade carbohydrates

White potatoes and red potatoes
Quick brown rice
Quick oatmeal (unsweetened)
All fresh fruits (not including canned, sweetened, or juice)

A grade proteins

Chicken breast
Turkey breast
Fish
Shellfish
Egg whites
Non fat cottage cheese
Top rump steak
Whey protein

A grade fats

Extra virgin Olive oil
Nuts and seeds

B Foods

Next we have the B grade, which is classed as a good food. Not in the same class as the A* and A foods but would be considered one that could be eaten when aiming for weight loss in Cardiff and as part of a healthy diet. Some bodybuilders and athletes often drop out the B grade foods prior to competitions, opting instead for only A* and A grade foods, although these diets then become more restrictive.
Whole wheat bread is one example of a B grade food that should be eaten regularly. There are many good grade B foods that will help you on your way to weight loss in Cardiff and should form part of a balanced healthy diet. The only reason whole wheat bread doesn’t get an A is because it is processed.

B grade Carbohydrates

100% whole grain, unsweetened boxed cereals 100% whole grain pastas (amaranth, spelt, quinoa, wheat, etc) 100% whole grain breads (100% whole wheat, rye, spelt, etc) 100% whole grain cooked cereals Whole wheat pitas

Weight Loss Cardiff’s Simple Guide To Healthy Eating, Part 2

Ask The Million Pound Question For Weight Loss In Cardiff

“A” foods are those that are not man made and are not processed or refined. How do you know if a food is in its “natural state” or not? Simple, you ask the “million pound question”: “Did the food come off the tree this way or out of the ground this way?” If the answer is yes, then it’s all-natural and it’s an A grade food.
When trying to lose weight in Cardiff the majority of your calories should come from “A” foods. The problem with that though is if you only ate A grade foods and nothing else your diet would be somewhat restricted and limited. This would be classed as a strict diet. With this type of diet it might also make it difficult to gain weight in Cardiff, because many A foods lack the caloric density required to stay in caloric surplus. It would therefore be ok to use “B” foods like whole wheat bread and pasta sometimes – especially if you wanted to gain muscle.
A Simple and Easy Way to Improve Your Food Grades in Cardiff
Before going to the grading system, there is an easy way in Cardiff to improve your food grades, and help with your weight loss: Do your shopping in a health food store, or go to the local market, there is a good one in the centre of Cardiff. This will not only improve your grades almost automatically, you’ll also find a much greater variety than you would in a regular supermarket. Health food stores carry a lot more whole grain and natural cereals you only have to look at Wally’s in the Royal Arcade in Cardiff to see what is available. In a normal supermarket, there are only a few brands that fit the bill. Shredded wheat is one. Look at the ingredient list: 100% WHOLE WHEAT. Nothing else! Pretty bland, but this type of food gets a high grade. You could add any fruit to make it more interesting and help with weight loss in Cardiff.
A+ Foods
A* is the highest grade a food can receive, but to qualify for this it must not only be natural but must also be nutrient dense. These “super foods” are packed with fiber, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, carotenoids, phytochemicals, and of course vitamins and minerals. Some examples of A* foods include Tomatoes which contain cancer fighting lycopene, Spinach which is rich in calcium, iron, vitamins K and C, potassium and carotenoids. Broccoli, Asparagus and Brussel Sprouts are also and vitamin D. Sweet Potatoes Carrots and Butternut Squash are packed with carotenoids. Red Peppers contain a whole day’s worth of vitamin C.
