weight loss cardiff answers:

Hi.Coming from me personally I have been running since 2005. I have lost a good 45 pounds now, but still have 5 more to go until I reach my goal. I did hit a certain weight that I had trouble loosing.I weighted a certain weight and couldn’t loose more. What I did to loose more weight was I did other exercises. I took a 2 PE classes at my college back to back. It was a body conditioning class that has cardio kick boxing, aerobics, toning..etc.

Keep running though. If you hit that peak where you can’t seem to loose more weight, consider doing another type of exercising activity.

David asks…

In order to lose weight while running, is it best to sprint then walk and repeat?

For example, i have heard that while running on the track, if you want to lose weight it is best to sprint the straightaways and walk the curves? Is this true? Any additional tips?

weight loss cardiff answers:

The best for cardio is jogging. The best for losing weight is walking and the reason for this is you burn calories based on the distance you go not how fast you go. And if you are sprinting chances are you will get tired faster and leave. Walking you can go all day.

Steven asks…

What is the correct way to lose weight by running? 2-3 times a week is good?

I’m trying to lose weight by running 2-3 times a week, but everytime I can only run like 1.5 miles (about half hour), should I go for 3 miles or so? ALSO, What is the best RUNNING plan? (how many times a week and how many miles every time?) THANKS!

weight loss cardiff answers:

First of all, throw out every thing you know, and don’t listen to the sale person pushing Hoodia.

Keep running, but slow down a little. Go for time not distance and you will notice that after a few weeks that you are traveling a lot further.

Keep in mind that running sucks but there is a reason that you are doing it and you need to focus on that reason.
Mine is Triathlons! I have never done one, but I have a goal of doing a few this new season.

I like to run outside along a road where people can see me. No one likes to see a failure and you might feel like on if your just walking. Select you point for a turn around and get there and back no matter how long it takes you. Your gonna run or look like a failure. (What works for one may not for another).

Good luck and keep in mind that you can do it! Watch and you’ll be pusing that 8 mile run!
