Should I go back to the weight loss center or do it on my own?

I have lost weight through a weight loss center but it gets so expensive. I have struggled doing it on my own. I feel powerless either way and still struggle with it. I need to lose about 10 pounds to get at my goal weight. Any suggestions? Thanks!

How much weight do you think I could lose in x amount of days with this routine?

Hello!
Basically, I have a weight loss blog/fitblr on Tumblr and I mean a lot of people depend on me, but I have got to really lose weight right now.
I’m going to state testing on April 16th? I believe and my current weight is 203 and height is 5’7 5’8. Now you’re probably like why the hell does she need to lose weight for state testing, well.. there is a dude there and I just don’t want to disappoint him with my looks. (Don’t hate with what I said, I know it’s stupid that I care what others think).

I’m going to eat 500 calories a day [at most] and bike ride every other day along with running 1-2 miles a day on the days I don’t ride my bike. Also my everyday exercises that burn about 500 calories.
It is un healthy, I know. But how much weight do you think I could lose with this routine? xx

I know it seems logical that eating such a small amount of calories will mean fast weight loss but you could put your body into starvation mode meaning it clings onto every bit of fat that its got, making it harder to lose weight and causing your weight to pile on when you go back to eating normally.

Instead, consider eating about 1500 calories minimum packed with protein and, combined with exercise you should still be in a significant (but safe) calorie deficit.

should I start a weight loss blog on youtube?

i was thinking of doing this bc I know so much about weight loss, have lost 50lbs and have 90 to go and I was thinking of doing a blog just to help others, get support from otherts and reach others to talk about weight loss.

But Im embarrassed of how much I weigh so thats why im hesitant and people can be really mean with their comments.

Any advice?

It really is a cool idea. I’d join to be honest. You can turn the option off for comments, but then you couldn’t get positive comments from people, either. Maybe a Facebook page for comments. That way negative assholes could be blocked/banned and only positive reinforcements could comment.

What motivates you when you are on a diet/workout?

I usually read weight loss blogs to motivate me because those donuts in the kitchen are really looking pretty good right now lol. Does anyone else use anything to help keep them on track? 🙂

I get into shapefit.com and look at all of the women’s success stories that had a starting weight similar to mine. When I am feeling discouraged I look at their stories and remember that they had to struggle just like I am to get to where they are now.

What are some good ear buds to wear while running/working out?

I’m planning on doing a giveaway on tumblr on my weight loss blog and I wanted to buy items specifically for the giveaway. I know people like to listen to music while running so I was wondering what some good ear buds might be. I personally don’t use them, But I think my followers would appreciate them. I need something that’s comfortable, Less than $15 and that won’t constantly fall out each time they run. Thanks!

I use Klipsch earphones when I’m working out and they’re pretty good. It came with earplugs with different sizes, but they cost about $100.

Before that I used Skullcandy Earphones. They were pretty good for the price. If I remember correctly, they were about $12. That could be an option.

Do you think its wrong to have a weight loss blog?

I’m trying to lose some weight and reading blogs helps me keep on track so I made one myself on tumblr. I’m losing weight the healthy way, I don’t starve myself and don’t promote or want an eating disorder. But people still complain about people who have weight loss blogs. What do you think? I feel bad about having one now

There’s a big difference between having a weight-loss blog focused on a healthy lifestyle and pro-eating disorder sites.
I actually think it’s very positive. If someone goes out there looking for weight-loss tips, I’d much rather them stumble upon your site and be inspired by how well you did doing it the healthy way, than to stumble across a “diet” page made by someone who is promoting methods of starvation or crash-dieting.

What is the best and easiest site to start a blog?

I don’t want to use myspace because it is my business/ music profile. So…. where can i write (anonymously) about my everyday life—struggles, joys, etc. Somewhere I can rant and rage if i want. somewhere i can ask for support and track my own progress. Like, a weight loss blog or a career path blog or something. Any ideas?
