What is the best way to lose weight without starving or taking pills? I’m not fat, I just gained a few pounds over winter. The trick is, i love to eat. Is there anything that’s easy to stick to, especially when it’s hard to control what i eat because we eat family meals together? Any suggestions would be good. Thanks.

Eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast – they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner – repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
Ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Now for the real reason for this question:
I denied that I would get freshmen fifteen again and again….but I got the freshmen fifteen.
I’ve tried lots of things to try and shed the weight…nothing really works for me.
However, I discovered that I have an easier time just eating less.
And by less I mean, less than 1000 calories a day (usually 600-800 per day).
I currently weigh ~130 give or take, Height is 5 feet 4 inches and I am 18 years old.
I would really like to go back to my starting weight (115 pounds or less).
If I plan to eat under 1000 calories for the summer (since the bathing suit I got last year doesn’t fit anymore!) how much weight could I lose per week/month?
Also, if you have any pro-ana tips/tricks or anything like that, it would be great!

I wont lecture you 😛 I think its good if your doing it for the right reasons and want to be fit and healthy and in good shape. What i suggest is having a good diet and a good excersise routine. This is what i do. Im also 18, but im quite a bit taller then u so i wont mention my weight. But I work out 5 days a week (aint no way im working out on the weekend hehe) But mondays i do weights for my back and arms and chest. Then 30 mins of cardio at high level intensity. Tuesday I do legs and butt. Repeat the 30 min intense cardio. Wednesday i do my abs and obliques… And u guessed it.. 30 mins of intense cardio. Thursday and friday i just do Only cardio for longer than 30 mins.. On nice days i usually take these days to the park or something. Diet wise i am only eating Low fat foods that i can find.. Whole wheat breads.. No salts, no sugars and just water, and a cup or two of coffee because this speeds up your metabolism. I hope this helped. I do this and personally know my body is tighter and fitter and i feel all together better 🙂

I’ve heard of women who have become pregnant but lost weight during the pregnancy not gained it as normal. Is this possible and if so how does it work and why does it happen?

I also have a thyroid condition so that’s gunna make it even harder but I know if I get really concentrated I can battle that factor. We are having our first unplanned baby in December but we already made plans to get married the following April. How long does it take to get rid of baby weight if really concentrated and is it possible to lose weight while still being healthy for the baby?

Ofcourse specially if you have horrible nausea and hardly eat! If you dont gain too much weight you can loose it easily but honestly your main concern should be staying healthy for the baby and dont worry too much about your weight you will be fine for your wedding dont worry good luck!

I know the average is like 15-30 lbs in pregnancy weight gain…but I was trying to lose weight before I found out. I got to a 160 (5’10”) from 130 in like 6 months cause of school and work. Now, Finding out i’m 6 weeks, i don’t want to end up at like 200 lbs in the end of my pregnancy.
How can i lose weight healthy without affecting my pregnancy OR how can I keep it that this will be my constant weight since technically I should’ve been back at 130?

Any ideas? I really don’t wanna get to 200 lbs….please help!

I need to lose at least 50 pounds fairly quickly. I do a bit of strength training with free weights already, and I don’t eat a lot of food. I don’t want to kill myself, but I do need to lose the weight fast. Anyone have any good suggestions?

How can i lose weight fast before my sisters wedding?

I would like to lose weight for my sisters wedding, which is early next year. But i want to lose it fast, cause i’m getting fitted for my dress (im one of the bridesmaids) in a couple of months, and if i keep losing it gradually, i’ll have to keep bringing the dress back for adjustments. i am 17 years old. and weigh 143 pounds. it is my wish to weigh only 137 pounds. for the past three days i have been running three miles everyday. however the food i eat is very very very oily. it has lots of fat. i eat at least 4500 calories per day. i have been thinking of going on a fruit diet to lose weight. if anyone has any ideas please tell me. i need to lose six pounds in two weeks.

Limit yourself on the fatty foods, i mean 4,500 calories! If you don’t wacth out all that fat foods can clog your arteries which can be very dangerous. So modarate what you eat and try to have some fruits and some veggies or salads at least once a day, and if your having salads cut down on the ranch its too much sugar and salad can still taste good without dressing. Good luck!. 🙂

I’m an 17 yr. old girl who is 5’5″ and 140 lbs., medium bone structure. I generally eat healthy (no soda, snacks, etc….) but have recently restarted a daily exercise routine (I stopped after a long vacation in the winter). I’m planning to swim 2x per week, take ballet lessons 2x per week and lift weights 1x per week (1 hr. each). Is it possible for me to lose 15 lbs. by the end of the summer? or is 140 lbs. a healthy weight for me?
