Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Richard asks…

will i be able to lose 20-30lbs by june 10th by doing this?

i already drink water only, and i drink about 8 glasses a day.
i’m already dieting, i honestly don’t really eat much because i get full easily but i do go by the food pyramid.
i don’t drink soda.
i only eat out about once a month or 2 times at the most, and when i do i eat light & healthy. i hate mcdonalds, burger king, wendy’s, etc.
i eat natural stuff, such as natural peanut butter and nuts without salt and all that junk on them.
starting May 16, i will be playing COMPETITIVE volleyball about 9 hours a week, and going to the gym for about 4 hours a week. i’ll also just go outside and run around too, considering i’m a teenager.

i’m trying to lose weight before i go to the beach.(:

thanks.<33
i've already lost 8lbs in one week. i weigh 167 now, and i'm taking a two week break because i've re-pulled a muscle in my lower back.
i do eat as much as i'm supposed to, but i DONT eat as much as someone that weighs as much as i do.

weight loss cardiff answers:

First off peanut butter and nuts are high in protein and will make you gain. Eat lots of raw vegi’s and fruits. And very small amounts of what else you eat. You should eat about 5 times a day in very small amounts. When you go without eating your body thinks you are not getting more food so it turns the food that you eat into stored fat. Litttle amounts of food and more often a day will actually burn fat well with good exercise. And drink lots of water.

Sandy asks…

Can someone revise my paper on anerexia?

I have to write a paper and i would like your feed back i need this paper to be perfect because its the only thing passing me!

The representation of only one model of beauty on television has attributed to women forming unrealistic body image expectations and lead to an increase in anorexia among young girls. Anorexia Nervosa is a mental condition which affects one’s both physical and mental health. It is a condition that causes one to have a distorted self-image and forces themselves to starve even if their body weight is already dangerously low. They often restrict their food intake to the point where they are extremely thin.

It seems today that eating disorders are on the rise. While this may be true, the numbers may appear to grow only because more cases are being brought out into the open. The purpose of this paper is to discuss eating disorders and prove that these diseases, specifically Anorexia Nervosa, continue to plague of women due to psychological and environmental factors along with pressure from the media. The term “Anorexia Nervosa” is misleading. It means “loss of appetite due to nerves.” But people with anorexia don’t actually lose their appetite until the late stages of their starvation. Until, they do feel hungry, but they just won’t eat. People affected by anorexia have an extreme fear of gaining weight. In addition to drastic dieting, they may resort to vomiting and the use of laxatives and diuretics to lose weight. Statistics show that many teens and young adults suffer from anorexia nervosa. Without treatment, anorexia nervosa can cause serious health problems–even death! The sooner treatment begins the better the chances for a full recovery. The person with anorexia is a model child. He/She is well behaved, eager to please, and a good student who gets along well with her peers. She rarely admits that anything is wrong or that anything is wrong or that she/he extra helps. Behind the mask is an insecure, self-critical perfectionist who feels unworthy of any praises she receives. A person who has anorexia is also very concerned about whether other people like her. And she is constantly feeling self cautious about herself which makes it even worse about who she is as a person.

Anorexia nervosa is a life-threaten eating disorder defined by refusal to maintain body weight. Other essential features of this disorder include an intense fear of gaining weight, a distorted body image, and an absence of at least three consecutive menstrual cycles
(amenorrhea) when otherwise expected to occur in women. Sometimes people starve and binge, depending on the extent of weight loss. This can be physically very dangerous. On TV we see people who are rich, beautiful, and above all are thin They see these people and think if they were thin they too would be rich, and beautiful, people would like them. Eating disorders are seen primarily in western and industrialized countries, where slimness is a model of attractiveness some experts feel that the causes of anorexia are relative to demands from society and family. For many anorexics, the destructive cycle begins with the pressure to be thin and attractive. A poor self-image compounds the problem. Often anorexia starts when a teenager or young woman goes on a diet to loose a little weight. Spurred on by the compliments they get, they may become obsessed with dieting. They may think to themselves. “If losing a little weight’s well, loosing a lot must be great.” People with anorexia typically have low-self esteem and are easily that being thin would give them all the confidence in the world.

Many anorexics accept anorexia as a way of life and this is how you
become popular and loved. Many fashion models are anorexic due to pressure put on them to look thin. Then young teenagers see these stylish skinny models and fell this is acceptable to do what ever is necessary to look like these models on covers of magazines and on the cat walks. On the Internet, website are widely available which encourage anorexia. They show pictures of models, which have been altered. Their limbs have been made longer and shadows created underneath their ribs to make them look even thinner. Some people who have anorexia become obsessed with getting fit and continuously exercise but don’t replace energy lost in the body, therefore the body uses the muscle and soon it deteriorates and the person becomes weak, just so they can be thin. Many famous people have been affected by anorexia. One in particular was Karen Carpenter who was one of the first public cases know. She felt pressured by her job as a singer to look thin and beautiful so she starved herself. Karen Carpenter died February 4, 1983 of heart failure caused by chronic anorexia nervosa. She was thirty-two years old. She battled with it from 1975-1983 (when she died). She went to New York at the end of 1981 for
a year of treatment by a psychiatrist but the damage had apparently been done. Plu

James asks…

My body is a good size, except on my thighs. They are pretty big compared to the rest of my body. It looks stupid and unbalanced. How can I lose weight in my thighs without losing weight anywhere else?

weight loss cardiff answers:

Walking does numbers on the legs.

Mary asks…

How much weight can you lose being a vegetarian or vegan?

I am about 5’7″ and 170 pounds. I can’t seem to lose weight on diet plans. I even tried the low carb diets and eating that much meat was just too gross for me. Has anyone tried going vegetarian or vegan to lose weight? Would you have any additional recommendations for this dieting method?

weight loss cardiff answers:

I have many friends who have lost 20 or more pounds just by becoming vegetarian. If they worked out, they’d lose even more.

I went vegetarian just over a year ago and lost 8 pounds “accidentally.” I’ve kept it off the whole time (5’6″ and 130 lbs now). I think the reason it happened is because by cutting out meat, I was also cutting out the stuff that came with it – french fries, soda, etc.

More importantly, I have more energy, need less sleep and overall feel much better. The best part is my monthly cramps have disappeared (no extra hormones in my system from processed meat!)

The important things to remember are:
Being vegetarian doesn’t mean you can eat bread and cheese all day. You need to limit the high-carb items and eat stuff like natural peanut butter, hummus, black beans, vegetarian chili, etc. Amy’s Organic is an awesome line of soups, burritos, frozen meals, etc. That are reasonably priced and found at almost every grocery store.

Consider keeping seafood in your diet. Salmon and tuna are great sources of protein and amino acids and are really easy to prepare.

Quit drinking soda – even the diet stuff. It’s full of chemicals and crap that makes you crave it more, and many brands of the diet stuff have tons of sodium, which makes you hungry. If you need caffeine (like I do) have coffee or tea.

You should give it a try, like I did. Just tell yourself “for one week” cut out all meat, and see how it goes. You may be surprised by how easy the transition is. Good luck!

P.S. – Exercise too! Even walking 30 minutes a day will make a world of difference.

Helen asks…

How can I lose weight and avoid sagging skin at the same time?

I need to lose weight but afraid that I will have the saggy skin that many people who lose a lot of weight have. Don’t want to have surgery so I need to know the most effective possible way of avoiding skin sagging.

weight loss cardiff answers:

Regular exercise tones the skin as well as the muscles, so if you lose your weight slowly and gradually and keep up regular exercise like walking or biking, and your skin will tone up as well as the muscles beneath the skin. You may still have some sagging, but not nearly as much as you would if you lose the weight quickly and don’t exercise as part of your routine.

Your Question About Easy Weight Loss

Susan asks…

Help me come up with a weight-loss plan for working out please? (10 points to Best Answer)?

Hey:

Okay, so I’m 14 and my sister is 12 and we both want to start working out; not just for weight loss, because honestly we’re pretty thin as we are and she’s even more slim than me. But either way, we wanna do it for the lungs and the heart; not to mention how powerful you feel post-working out. I wanna be in my mid 40’s and look back on this and look as if I’m in my early 30’s like Jennifer Aniston.
Anyway, we’re starting to do Pilates 2 times a week and the other 3 weekdays, we’re gonna work out at the gym for 45 minutes and then jog for another 45 minutes and then bike for another half hour. I want to work out 6 days a week, 2 hours a day.

Then, on Saturday, I might take up some yoga occasionally and I’m going to take a dancing class or just swim or do something to stay active. I’m thinking about either taking Sunday off or making it optional rather than mandatory. I want to be strict with my food, too; I want to eat 5 small meals a day and lots of veggies, fruits and drink tons of water. First, I guess I’m gonna start off as a thing that I feel I must do but I hoping the purpose of it will change through time and eventually, I will gradually feel it’s more of a habit and take it seriously and as importantly as brushing your teeth or heck even taking a shower! Bottom line, I wanna cut down carbs, not exceed my strict-policy, no-exception limit to 1,200 calories a day (if possible, less) and I’m gonna do lots of cardio, aerobics and weights.

Easy things like excluding some whip cream on my coffee, not adding a topping to my ice cream, eating protein without rice, and other things like that.

XOXO,
Thanks in advance. (:
PLEASE HELP ME COME UP WITH A PLAN URGENTLY AY-SAP!
And please don’t say I’m too young or any of that; I’ve heard it all before. If I wanted to hear that, I’d post this differently. Let me rephrase that: Just help me out, eh? With things that I consider helpful…not what you THINK will.

Thank you guys, I appreciate it…
I think the process is worth it and overall, I appreciate everyone’s concern and stuff…thanks for those of you who cared enough to answer =]

weight loss cardiff answers:

First of all, DON’T GIVE UP CARBS…you’ree too young b/c you’re still developing and carbs help your body do just that. Instead replace bad carbs(most white products like white bread and rice and pasta) and replace it with whole grains and whole wheat. Those are good carbs that help your body function; the white carbs tend to be stored as fat. Also drink 2% or skim milk and dairy products. If you can find a food chart online, follow it b/c if you don’t need to lose weight then you really should be eating at least 1800 calories…technically 2000 but not everyone can stomach that much. A food pyrmid will make sure you’re eating the right amount of foods so that you can have the best potiental for development(in all areas; brain, eyes, teeth, even reproductively…the amount you eat deals with all of that).
You have a really good workout routine already. Like you seem to have everything already planned out perfectly so I don’t exactly understand what you need help on but I only suggest that you do take a day off b/c as you workout you”re putting your body under a lot of stress and you need at least a day for it to heal. When at the gym, the ellipitical is great and so is the bike and steps. Try a few things out and see what you like the most(You can probably also get someone to help you out a little with exactly a plan) Remember to stretch before and after all your workouts!

Charles asks…

Easy diet for fast weight loss?

I’m a 15 year old girl, 5’6” and 180 pounds. I really would like to be down to 135-150 at the end of March. So, about 2 months. I have just started taking fat burner pills and I run everyday. I have basketball practice in the morning 5 days a week, then on some days, I come home, run for 15 minutes then do a workout I found in Seventeen Magazine. I really want to lose belly fat most. I have a lot of fat under my breast that I would love to get rid of first.. Then just stomach fat, and inner thigh fat. What else can I do to lose my weight goal before April? :/ I need anything with fast results!

weight loss cardiff answers:

Fast results in general don’t happen too often, I apologize. For your diet you just need to choose foods that are more on the healthier side and have smaller meals. Cardio is a really good thing for weight loss but you may want to work more things into your routine. You should strengthen your whole body for the weight loss to be significant. Realistically you can’t just lose fat in one area of your body. Try working a medicine ball and weights into your routine to strengthen the muscle. Work on your abs too, you need to work on your WHOLE BODY. You could see a personal trainer too if you want really good results, it’s better than just doing the ones in Seventeen magazine.
