Is weight loss easy for children?

My niece is 12 1/2 years old shes tall but shes big. No very fat but average fat. She asked me for tips about how to help her. She said she wants something not very hard, she really wants help, she is about 47kg. Please help me help her.
Just something easy.
She wants to lose alot of weight in her very big thighs
She is about 1m 55cm
She is 1m 55cm and 50kg
She also eats alot regulary – always hungry

Losing weight for children is definitely easier than for adults. A common myth is that exercise helps to lose weight, whereas this is sort of correct in most cases people tend to overeat the calories they expend (excercise is however excellent for heart health). The best thing for your niece is to have a proper diet. One which has all the nutrition in terms of vitamins, minerals and ions but doesn’t contain things like saturated fat.

It is also common for children (especially females) to go through growth spurts during pubery which will drastically change her BMI. Also if proper diet and exercise together do not cause weight loss it may be a pathology such as hypothyroidism or cushing’s syndrome which can cause unexplained weight gain.

I do not know about quick and easy way to lose weight, but here are some general healthy tips:

1) Have a healthy and balanced permanent diet: dark green vegetables, fresh fruits, whole wheat and whole grain products, non-fat dairy products, fish, poultry breast, lean red meat, egg white.

You should cut out all sugar, soda, non-whole grain products and saturated fats: These aliments should only be a reward for achieving a goal, not a habit!

2) Start exercising

Aerobic and weight training will raise your metabolic rate. In result, your body will burn more calories.

* aerobic exercising

I am starting a three day diet plan and it says that after dinner to eat 1 cup of regular vanilla ice cream after dinner. Is it part of the diet? Or is it just for those who want to eat dessert? In most diets they don’t include ice cream . .

Just follow the diet as it states….they put it there for a reason. I am on a dietician controlled weight loss diet, and she has me eating ice cream too. 1/2 cup.

Whats a good diet plan for an 18yr girl?

I’ve tried so many diets and pills and different excises……and I just want to know what r some other ppls diet plans and wat diet pills worked for other ppl…….like I said I’m 18 256lb and I’m 5’7…….all help is much appreciated (plz if ur goin to say sumthin mean or stuupid plz leave my page for u are wasting both of our time) 🙂

Diet Pills are bad.
That aside, here is a good meal plan:

Breakfast: A Yogurt (that can get boring everyday, so you can add some cereal and fruit into the yogurt.) Also, a cup of milk.

Lunch: A Sandwich (You can switch up the kinds), and a fruit/veggie on the side. Add the vis-versa kind of V8. (Meaning, if you get have a vegetable on the side, have a fruit V8, and if you have fruit on the side, have a veggie V8)

Dinner: Have whatever you want: the key is portion control! Have a cup of water or a healthy juice.

Snacks: Allow yourself one 100 calorie snack a day. Don’t drink any pop, only water throughout the day.
